I Consigned 3 Cards to DCSports87 — I Made MORE Than Selling Myself

I sent 3 cards to DCSports87 for consignment for my first time. Here's my honest review of the whole experience, start to finish.Overall, it was really smooth, I was happy with the prices, and I ended up with MORE money than if I'd auctioned them from my own account. Way more eyeballs on the cards too. The 3 cards: 2024 Prizm WNBA Caitlin Clark base (PSA 9) 2024 Prizm WNBA Caitlin Clark Purple Prizm (PSA 8.5) 2024 Bowman Walker Jenkins Chrome Prospect Auto Refractor /499 (SGC 9, 10 auto) Two things to watch out for if you submit cards for consignment: Raw (ungraded) cards can go lower than you'd expect — buyers assume cards sent to consignment aren't in great shape. Always double-check your listings — cards sometimes get mislabeled. 3 Card Sales That Taught Me 3 Lessons (Sunk Cost, Cost Basis & Timing)

I sold three cards recently, and each one taught me something I wish I'd understood earlier. In this episode I break down all three sales and the exact lessons behind them, so you can sell smarter than I did. The 3 lessons:1. Ignore the sunk cost fallacy. What you paid for a card is gone. The only number that matters when you sell is what it's worth right now, not what you need to "break even."2. Know what you really paid. Your true cost isn't the sticker price. It's the item + shipping + fees + grading, all in. Get that wrong and every profit call after it is wrong too.3. Timing is everything — know when to get out. Cards are a market. Reading the moment (hype, print run, the player's trajectory) is often the difference between a great sale and holding a bag. The cards in this episode:• Walker Jenkins — 2024 Bowman Chrome Prospect Auto, Speckle Refractor /299 (PSA 10)• Caleb Williams — 2023 Bowman University 1st Auto• Josh Allen — 2018 Panini Contenders Optic ROY Contenders Auto (BGS 9) 📊 Track your cost basis, real profit, and when to sell with My Card Inventory — free to start: https://mycardinventory.com #sportscards #cardcollecting #thehobby #whodoyoucollect #baseballcards #footballcards #cardinvesting

My Top 5 Platforms to Buy & Sell Cards (Pros & Cons)

The 5 platforms I actually use to buy and sell cards, and the honest pros and cons of each. Whether you're flipping, investing, or just clearing out a collection, this should help you pick the right platform for the job. MBA Grading: Not Necessary, But I Tried It Anyway

Is MBA grading actually worth it? My honest take: I don't think grading is necessary for the hobby, and as a collector you don't need it. But as a seller, if a grade can push a card's price up, I'm willing to try it and find out. So I put it to the test and sent four already-graded legends through MBA's crossover service to see how they come back: 1956 Topps Jackie Robinson (PSA 2)1955 Topps Sandy Koufax (SGC 1)1965 Cassius Clay / Muhammad Ali (SGC 3)1979-80 O-Pee-Chee Wayne Gretzky rookie (SGC 1.5) Results aren't back yet, so this is part one: the thesis, the reasoning, and why I picked these four. A follow-up drops when the grades return. Where do you land? Is grading necessary, or just a price lever? #sportscards #thehobby #cardgrading #cardcollecting #whodoyoucollect

My Worst Card Purchases of 2026 (I Spent $800 on This Pair of Sports Cards…)

I spent $800 on a pair of Walker Jenkins 1st Bowman Chrome autos — and it's the purchases I regret most in 2026. In this video I break down exactly why it was a mistake: I don't normally buy prospects, Jenkins isn't a player I'm passionate about, and I let a wave of YouTube hype push me into it. The kicker? The cards have actually come DOWN since I bought them — even after he got called up to the majors. If you're tempted to chase the next big prospect or deviate from your traditional collecting strategy, learn from my $800 lesson before you pull the trigger. The cards:• 2024 Bowman Chrome Prospect Auto Refractor /499 — SGC 9 (Auto 10)• 2024 Bowman Chrome Prospect Auto Speckle Refractor /299 — PSA 10What I get into:• Why prospecting doesn't fit how I actually collect• Buying a player I'm not passionate about (and why that matters)• How much the YouTube hype cycle drove my decision• Why a call-up didn't save the value• What I'd do differently — and what I'm buying insteadBe honest in the comments: what's the one card purchase YOU regret the most? 👇If this saved you from a bad buy, hit like and subscribe for more real talk on the hobby — the wins and the losses.#SportsCards #WalkerJenkins #Bowman #TheHobby #BaseballCards #Prospecting #CardCollecting #MinnesotaTwins

I Sold These GOAT Rookie Cards Too Early (Tom Brady, LeBron James, Stephen Curry)

I sold my Tom Brady, LeBron James and Stephen Curry rookie cards, and looking at prices now, I apparently sold way too early. In this episode I break down what cards I let go of, what those cards are selling for now, and overall thoughts on how the market is running hot with almost every card going up (and what I'm doing now). This isn't a "never sell" podcast. It's about being honest that a rising market makes every sale look smart in the moment, and how to think it through before you let a card go.Cards in this video:- 2009-10 Topps #321 Stephen Curry (BGS 8.5)- 2003 Topps Chrome #111 LeBron James (PSA 8)- 2000 Bowman #236 Tom Brady (BGS 8.5)I track every card, what I paid all-in, and what I actually cleared on each sale with My Card Inventory, the tool I'm building for collectors.
