    75+ Year old Dad: Life Lessons | E64

    Today, we're talking to Dr. Jayant Kumar Singh. He’s our Dad, he's 75, he’s a doctor, and he has been one of the steadiest sources of support in both of our lives.He raised two daughters and never once made us feel like being girls meant there was anything we couldn’t do. If anything, he made us feel like we could do anything.Education was always incredibly important to him. He taught us that it was something nobody could take away from us. And he also taught us to take care of ourselves - our health, our independence, and our ability to stand on our own feet.More than anything, he’s the person we have always known we can go back to. No matter what happened, how old we got, or where in the world we lived, home always felt safe because of him.Papa has been dealing with some health challenges lately, so we’re keeping today’s conversation short and gentle.     Scarcity mindset: that feeling that there is never enough - not enough money, not enough time, not enough love, not enough friends, not enough opportunities. The feeling that makes women tear down another woman for fear of losing their importance. The feeling that if others have it, so should we. Specifically, how the modern world is quietly engineered to make us feel that there is never enough and how underneath all of it, the culture is training us to believe there is a limited pie and that someone else's slice is a threat to ours.We are going to name this clearly today.
