Alarm Clocks, Not Architects: When God Sends You to Sound the Warning

Have you ever felt like you're the only one who sees through the carefully crafted personas and polished spiritual performances? "Stop Faking It" dives deep into the uncomfortable space between staying silent and speaking truth in a world that rewards pleasant pretending over authentic confrontation. This raw, unfiltered exploration begins with a spontaneous moment of worship—no script, no notes—as Heather shares her own journey of wrestling with obedience when it feels easier to stay quiet. Drawing from Romans 12:9 and Ephesians 5:11, we examine the godly responsibility of exposing darkness while maintaining a spirit of love. The message is clear and challenging: "Truth and grace are never in conflict, but silence and sin always are." For those constantly cleaning up messes they didn't create—the perpetual fixers and emotional janitors—this episode offers liberating permission to walk away when your spiritual assignment is complete. God may have placed you in someone's life to be the alarm, not the architect; to sound a warning, not rebuild the entire structure. And when that purpose is fulfilled, choosing to step away isn't failure—it's freedom. Just as Jesus never filtered his message to keep people comfortable (he flipped tables in the temple, after all), we're called to speak truth with boldness tempered by genuine love. The crucial difference lies in our motivation: "Is this God-led or ego-fed? Are you exposing to heal or exposing to harm?" Stop carrying what God told you to let go. Stop covering for people He asked you to uncover. Be real, be bold, and discover that the truth really does set you free. Share this message with someone who needs permission to put down the spiritual mop and walk in their true purpose today. Send us a text Support the show We are a free Christian/Family podcast. We're Not Perfect, But We Know Who We Belong To

What happens when the chaos of modern parenting meets the unchanging truth of Scripture? In this intimate episode, I'm joined by my daughters Avery (16) and Molly (13) as we pull back the curtain on the beautiful mess of raising faith-centered kids in a distracted world. Ever struggled with Sunday morning softball tournaments versus church attendance? Or wrestled with when to allow social media access while everyone else seems to have fewer boundaries? You're not alone. Together, we dive into the real tensions Christian families face daily—from packed calendars that leave little room for Jesus to the countercultural choices that sometimes make our kids feel different from their peers. "We're not raising followers, we're raising leaders," becomes our family's north star as we navigate these challenges. Avery shares wisdom beyond her years about spiritual nourishment: "You can't pour into people if you're not pouring into yourself first." Meanwhile, Molly offers refreshing honesty about learning that "it's not about followers, it's about being faithful." Through their experiences, we unpack Proverbs 22:6 and Romans 12:2, discovering that training children isn't about perfection—it's about truth. The most liberating revelation? Our family isn't perfect. We run late, say things we shouldn't, and regularly mess up. But we've built a home where everyone knows they can always come back to grace, back to truth, and most importantly, back to Jesus. Because at the end of the day, "We're not a perfect family, but we know who we belong to, and that makes all the difference." Listen now to find encouragement for your parenting journey and practical wisdom for keeping Jesus at the center even when everything feels chaotic. Beauty from Ashes: When God Rebuilds What Was Destroyed

Have you ever felt like your life was burning down around you? Your relationships, your plans, your very identity reduced to ashes? That's exactly where I found myself – in a season where everything seemed broken beyond repair. What I discovered in that painful place changed everything: God doesn't stand outside our flames watching us burn. He steps right into our rubble and begins gathering tools to rebuild us. As Isaiah promises, He truly does bestow "a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." In this raw and heartfelt episode, I share my journey from brokenness to restoration – how God took my personal devastation and transformed it into ministry. We explore why many of us continue carrying old baggage into new seasons, and how this prevents us from fully stepping into what God has prepared. The turning point isn't found in distraction or denial, but in complete surrender: "Jesus, if you can do something with this wreck, I'm all yours." We dive deep into the challenging process of forgiveness – forgiving those who never apologized and forgiving ourselves for not being perfect. This forgiveness doesn't happen overnight, but Jesus repeatedly whispers: "You don't have to carry what I already paid for." Through practical steps and spiritual insights, I'll guide you to identify what you're still holding onto from your ashes and find the courage to finally lay it down. What struggle are you facing today? What baggage are you dragging into your future? Listen, pray along with us, and discover that your broken season isn't the end of your story – it might just be the soil where God plants something entirely new. From Broken to Blessed: My Story of Redemption

Raw vulnerability meets divine grace in this deeply personal season premiere. My journey from a solid church foundation to a devastating unequally yoked marriage reveals how easily we can stray from our spiritual moorings when seeking love and purpose in all the wrong places.  The pain of betrayal, divorce, and watching my ex-husband's life seemingly fall into perfect place while mine lay in shambles nearly broke me. Yet it was precisely in this darkness that God's light shone brightest. Through tearful surrender at the altar with my childhood pastor, I heard the words that would begin my transformation: "You may have chosen this road, but you didn't choose this battlefield. God will equip you, lay it down and leave it." My path wasn't immediately straight—I stumbled through attempts to numb my pain with distractions and shallow relationships. But a second surrender, more complete than the first, cleared space for God's redemptive work. Just five days after laying everything down, a simple text message started a new chapter that would lead to restoration beyond what I could imagine. The same altar where I had twice surrendered my brokenness became the place where I entered a God-centered marriage that transformed my mess into ministry. This story isn't about my mistakes or even my recovery—it's about a faithful God who never left, who specializes in beauty from ashes, and who redeems what seems irredeemable. If you're feeling lost in your own storm or wondering if you've strayed too far, this episode offers the hope that God is already in your midst, waiting to transform your story. The miracles happen not despite our brokenness, but often right in the middle of it. All He needs is your willingness. Send us a text Support the show We are a free Christian/Family podcast.
