    EP 4｜这个国家,到底懂不懂什么是抄袭？ 这一集有点不一样。平常我们都聊一些轻松的话题，但今天，我们想聊一件让我们心里有点沉的事。 作为建筑设计师和马来西亚人的我们，真的看不下去了。到底设计什么时候才能不能任意踩踏？ Fey，一位勇敢为自己发声的设计师，曾为MITI设计出一个作品，代表马来西亚参加 The Malaysian Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka。他花了三年，倾注心血完成了这个作品，但项目突然改为公开招标，最终的设计却与他的原作几乎一模一样——但是他没有被提及，没有被感谢，甚至连名字都没有留在作品里。 更让人心寒的是，虽然这个设计和著名建筑设计师Kengo Kuma合作过，Fey还提供了Kengo本人的支持信和其他证据，然而MITI却依旧将其列为证据不足。目前这件事件还在调查中。 在这一集里，我们想聊聊“设计”在我们社会中的位置——为什么创意和劳动总是难以得到认同？为何那些背后默默付出的灵感与汗水总被忽视？为什么艺术总是与富裕阶层挂钩，而真正的创意却被践踏？ 我们也想借此机会，把Fey的话送给大家：作为设计师，我们从来不是要掌声，而是希望我们的作品不被践踏。 “We’re not asking for applause,” Fey wrote. “We’re asking not to be stepped on.” 欢迎你和我们一起聊聊——关于被看见，关于被尊重，关于我们最熟悉也最心痛的设计这件事。 This episode is a bit different. Normally, we talk about light-hearted topics, but today, we want to discuss something that weighs heavily on our hearts. As architects and Malaysians, we simply can’t stand by and watch. When will design stop being trampled on? Fey, a designer who bravely spoke up for himself, created a design for MITI to represent Malaysia at The Malaysian Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka. He spent three years pouring his heart into this project, but suddenly, the project was put out to tender. The final design was nearly identical to his original, yet he was not mentioned, thanked, or even credited at all. What’s even more disheartening is that, although the design was done in collaboration with renowned architect Kengo Kuma, and Fey even provided Kengo’s personal support letter alongside other evidence, MITI still listed it as insufficient evidence. This is still under investigation with MITI. In this episode, we want to talk about the position of “design” in our society—why is creativity and hard work so often unrecognized? Why are the efforts, inspiration, and sweat that go unnoticed so easily ignored? Why is art always associated with the wealthy, while true creativity gets trampled? We also want to share this quote from Fey: “We’re not asking for applause,” Fey wrote. “We’re asking not to be stepped on.” Join us in this heartfelt conversation—about being seen, being respected, and the design we know and love, but also the design that often gets hurt.

    《友话直说》EP3 恭喜你，你已经在成功的路上前进了！ -------------- 这一集的灵感来自我们最近的生活状态——挣扎、疲惫、甚至有点迷茫。有时候真的会觉得自己停滞不前，什么都做不好，什么都没有进展。但其实，这些不安、焦虑和失败，往往正是我们成长路上必经的过程。 有一天，Janette在通勤的火车上写下这样一段话： “其实我想说的是，我不是一个喜欢做自己不擅长的事情的人，因为那个未知让我很不安。但是成长的路上，伴随的一定是不舒服感。不断摸索、推自己前进，一边焦虑一边跟自己讲：‘过了这一关，你会更好。’无论是好的还是坏的经历，它们都会让你变得更好。” 我们也分享了一些朋友的创业故事。他们曾经历失败、欠债、资金周转困难，但每一次都咬牙坚持，重新站起来。特别感谢Janette的朋友愿意让我分享他的经历——他的故事真的很鼓舞人心，也希望能为你带来一点力量。 很多时候，我们只看见别人“突然成功”，却忽略了背后默默承受的痛苦、坚持与牺牲。所以，如果你最近也正处在一个焦虑、不安甚至感到“失败”的阶段，那我要对你说——恭喜你，你已经在通往更好自己的路上了。 不要放弃，你真的做得到！加油！ 适合在迷茫与焦虑中摸索、在不安中悄悄成长，却始终没有放弃努力的你。 你最近也有这样的时刻吗？欢迎留言和我们分享你的故事。 This episode was inspired by something we've both been feeling lately—tired, stuck, maybe even a little lost. You know those moments when it feels like you’re going nowhere, nothing’s working, and you’re not making any progress? But the truth is, that discomfort, that uncertainty, even that sense of failure—it’s all part of becoming who you’re meant to be. Janette wrote this one day on the train: “I’ve never been someone who enjoys doing things I’m not good at. The unknown makes me uncomfortable. But I’ve come to realise that growth always feels uncomfortable. We push ourselves forward, stumble, panic, then whisper to ourselves: ‘Get through this, and you’ll be better.’ Every experience—good or bad—makes us stronger.” In this episode, we also share a few stories from friends who’ve started their own businesses. They’ve been through failures, debt, cash flow issues—you name it. But they never gave up. Every fall brought them closer to where they are now. Big thanks to Janette’s friend who allowed us to share his story. It was incredibly inspiring, and we hope it brings you some encouragement too. We often only see people’s “overnight success” and not the pain, grit, and sacrifices behind it. So if you’re feeling anxious, uncertain, or even like you’re failing right now—congratulations.
