How Do We Frame the Mystery?

Two writers walk into a bar. One of them says to the other, “Hey, writing buddy. You and me deal with the written word, huh? How ‘bout we dive into the spoken word? Let’s do a podcast.” “A podcast?” the other writer asks. “Yeah, yeah. A podcast. All the kids are doin’ it these days. I think we’ll crush it.” “Crush it, huh?” “Crush it, we will. Let’s do it next week. I’m confident everything will go real smooth.” Go smooth, it didn’t. But that didn’t cause these two writers (Liam and Dante) to give up. They got through their first podcast. Liam stayed up into the wee hours of the night to edit, and here we are now. In the first episode of Holding Up The Pod, Liam interviews cohost Dante about his new book, Framing the Mystery: A Collection of Poems, Parables, and Proverbs. The two discuss the book’s themes of symbolism, comprehending the mysteries of God’s creation, pushing through suffering, and the role of wisdom in our daily lives. Though technical difficulties popped up, a most excellent conversation was had. If this sounds like your jam, stop what you’re doing (or keep on doing what you’re doing and just multitask) and give this first episode of Holding Up The Pod a listen.
