EP 20 | Just Doing It | Person of Peace in Fairfield, CA

What happens when you get on a plane with no clear plan — just a shared belief that Jesus meant what He said in Matthew 6:33? In this episode of The Collective Thread, we head west to Fairfield, California, just south of Sacramento, to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and see what God might be doing in ordinary places through ordinary people who are willing to say yes. The journey starts on an airplane with a conversation about a tattoo, a birthday, a son, and the gospel. From there, it moves into Solano Mall, where the mission was simple but heavy: pray with people, share Jesus, and look for a person of peace who might be ready to help start something new. There was no script. No clear map. Just prayer, obedience, and a willingness to pay attention. And just when it felt like nothing had happened, God revealed that He had been moving somewhere we couldn’t see — stirring the heart of a man named Stuart, redeeming what felt like failure, and reminding all of us that His gifts and calling are not removed just because we miss a moment. This is a story about faith, obedience, discouragement, redemption, and the kind of yes that can become the beginning of something much bigger than we imagined. So the question is: What invitation is on your horizon that God is asking you to say yes to? #CollectiveThread #GatheringOfNeighbors #SeekFirstTheKingdom #Matthew633 #PersonOfPeace #ShareJesus #FaithInAction #OrdinaryPeople #SimpleChurch #HolySpiritLed #SayYesToGod

EP 21 | Flip The Script | Church In A Bar

On this episode of The Collective Thread, the script gets flipped. For the first time, Cole Hunter steps to the other side of the mic to share the story behind House of Worship — a church gathering that meets in a bar, moves with simplicity, and is helping people discover that following Jesus can happen in everyday places. From a cheap acoustic guitar and pub tables at Growler’s Taphouse to lives being changed through prayer, community, and simple obedience, this conversation captures what it looks like to say yes when God leads you somewhere unexpected. Cole shares what a typical Sunday looks like, how the B.L.E.S.S. practices shaped relationships in the bar, and one of the most powerful stories to come out of that community: a moment when people realized they did not need to call a pastor to pray — they could go to God themselves — and watched Him move in a life-changing way. The conversation also explores identity, mission, how to take the next step with Jesus, and why the places you already love may be the very places God wants to use. This episode is a reminder that the kingdom of God is not limited to traditional spaces. It can show up around a fire pit, at a pub table, in a neighborhood, or anywhere people are willing to live on mission together. If you’ve ever wondered whether God could use your passions, your story, or your everyday setting for something meaningful, this conversation is for you. #TheCollectiveThread #GatheringOfNeighbors #HouseOfWorship #SimpleChurch #ChurchInABar #LiveOnMission #BLESsPractices #EverydayFaith #FollowJesus #KingdomCommunity
