The Abortionfluencer Podcast

Colleen Luckett

Behind every abortion story is a fight for dignity, freedom, and survival. Hosted by longtime activist and unapologetic truth-teller Colleen Luckett, The Abortionfluencer Podcast exposes the machinery of institutionalized misogyny still operating in our laws, our politics, and our culture — and elevates the voices of those fighting back. Each episode is a space for medical facts, feminist fire, class solidarity resistance, and the radical notion that women are human beings, not bargaining chips. Freedom means nothing without bodily autonomy ... and every future worth living demands it.

    Yes, Even the "Good Ones"

Why feminism keeps getting sidelined — even by our male allies on the Left. In this episode of "The Abortionfluencer Podcast," host Colleen Luckett explores a frustrating truth many feminists know deep in their bones: Even well-meaning, left-leaning men often diminish feminist analysis — especially when it comes to reproductive justice, bodily autonomy rights, and power. Using a childhood soccer memory as a metaphor (pass the damn ball, my dudes!), this episode connects personal experience to political reality — from social media algorithms and bro-dominated leftist spaces to centuries-old systems of misogyny (and misogynoir) baked into U.S. "democracy" itself. This one’s part vent, part history lesson, part love letter — and part warning shot. Top Topics Covered Fighting your own "teammates" for legitimacy  Why “good” men still center themselves in Leftist media and movements How social media algorithms reward ego and bank accounts, not justice — and who really benefits? Old Politicians, Old Laws, and the Same Old Attacks on Bodily Freedom w/ Sophia Kilmer

Sophia Kilmer — civil rights lawyer, founder of Defend Trans Rights, and host of her own podcast, Sophie Talks — and I decided to collaborate on the intersection between trans rights and abortion rights for this episode! She’s actually the one who had the great idea to blend our platforms, because as we both know, the right-wing uses the same tired playbook to attack both trans and reproductive rights — control the body, control the narrative, control the power. We chatted about recent Supreme Court decisions, including the Scrimmety ruling that basically legislates identity, and unpacked how Democrats keep managing to show up to a five-alarm fire with a spray bottle. We also got into heavier topics like American exceptionalism, the legacy of sundown towns, and how Senate malapportionment keeps the country hostage to minority rule. And yes, it got a little spicy when we talked about elderly politicians refusing to pass the torch. But don’t worry, we’re still friends. ;-) It’s a conversation about autonomy, hypocrisy, and the urgent need for collective action — whether that means fighting in court, in the streets, or at the ballot box. If you care about freedom, equality, and the right to exist as yourself, this episode’s for you! Key Takeaways The right-wing uses the same tactics to attack both trans and abortion rights. The Scrimmety decision represents a dangerous precedent for legislating identity. The Democratic Party talks a good game but often fails to act decisively. Gender roles are being weaponized to control both women and trans people. American exceptionalism hides deep-rooted indoctrination and inequality. Ageism and entrenched leadership block progress — it’s time for fresh voices. Trans rights and reproductive rights are inseparable in the broader fight for human rights. Activism, education, and solidarity are our best tools for protecting autonomy. Sophia's website: sophiazoekilmer.com Find me @theabortionfluencer on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Substack.

Part 2 w/ Joanie: From Planned Parenthood to Protecting Young People from Christian Nationalist Predation and Standing Strong for Our Communities

If you haven’t listened to Part 1 yet, go back and start there! In the first half of my conversation with longtime abortion rights activist and former nurse Joanie (@joaniephotos42 on Instagram), we talked about the devastating personal experience that ignited her love of Planned Parenthood and abortion rights activism, her early days doing clinic defense, and how the reproductive rights movement has evolved over the decades. In Part 2, Joanie and I go deeper into the intersections of Christian nationalism, child protection, and the hypocrisy of so-called “pro-life” politics. We discuss: The horror of forcing children to give birth and how the U.S. is normalizing legalized child abuse under the guise of “family values.” How extremist religious teachings have warped morality and emboldened abusers within churches and conservative circles. The connection between defunding sex education and increasing child victimization — and why comprehensive, science-based sex ed is essential for prevention. The criminalization of miscarriage and abortion, and the growing threat of law enforcement surveillance on private medical events. Why abortion access is an economic justice issue that affects entire communities, not just individual women. The importance of community care, social contracts, and fighting isolation under capitalism — because, as Joanie says, “healthy people keep other people healthy.” At the end of this episode, I circle back to Joanie’s question: “How do we find out who’s ratting out women for miscarrying?” When I said, “I’m working on it,” I meant exactly that. 👉 That’s the focus of my Miscarriage of Justice investigative series — where I dig into public records, expose predatory networks, and document how personal grief is being weaponized into criminal prosecution. It’s part of my larger independent feminist reporting on what I call The Forced Birth Industrial Complex, published on my Substack, The Abortionfluencer Files.: https://theabortionfluencer.substack.com If you want to go deeper and see the receipts, documents, and investigations, you’ll find them there. 🔗 Other People Mentioned: Monte Mader — Christian nationalism survivor, feminist educator, and advocate for unlearning religious indoctrination: @montemader on Instagram Reichwing Watch — Social media account documenting right-wing child sex abuse cases and hypocrisy: @reichwingwatch on Instagram

The FACE ACT Betrayal: Amber Smith-Stewart & Rivers Rivera vs. the Criminalization of Protest (Part 2)

In Part 2 of this powerful conversation, abortion justice activists Amber Smith-Stewart and Annarella “Rivers” Rivera share what it was like serving time in federal prison after they were targeted by Biden's DOJ for spray-painting slogans on fake pregnancy clinics during the Summer of Rage after the fall of Roe v. Wade. They talk about who they were locked up with (you won’t believe it!), how they got through it, some hot tips for activists and protestors in this upside down era of authoritarianism (on meth), and what’s next for them personally and politically. I also dig into what’s happening now under Trump’s second term — from the blatant lies and disinformation around what constitutes ACTUAL reproductive healthcare to their pardoning of violent anti-abortion extremists — and the administration's quiet dismantling of federal protections for reproductive care clinics, defenders, patients, and activists. If you missed Part 1, start there — it'll give you a fuller picture of how this all began. And please, help me push this important story through the noise. The mainstream media and social media platforms are actively suppressing content on reproductive rights and justice.
