What happens when a passion for music, years of sales and marketing experience, and a desire to build something of your own come together? In this episode of Behind the Business, I sit down with Tyler Strohschein, co-owner of The Content Cove, to talk about his journey from DJ and electronic music producer to entrepreneur and creative studio owner. Tyler shares how his background in music, marketing, and sales eventually came together to inspire The Content Cove—a creative studio designed to help small business owners, entrepreneurs, creators, and podcasters produce professional content without having to invest in all the equipment, technology, and setup themselves. We talk about taking the leap into entrepreneurship, starting a business around the same time Tyler and his wife were starting a family, and why Holland, Michigan, felt like the right place to build The Content Cove. We also dive into some of the biggest challenges small business owners face with social media and marketing, including finding time to stay consistent, knowing what to post, choosing the right platforms, and understanding whether they're actually getting their money's worth from their marketing. Tyler explains how The Content Cove approaches consulting by helping business owners understand their marketing and, when possible, teaching them how to do it themselves. But perhaps most importantly, Tyler shares his vision for the future of The Content Cove—from expanding the current studio and adding additional production spaces to eventually growing into a larger media production company. It's a conversation about entrepreneurship, creativity, family, marketing, community, and what happens when you turn what you're passionate about into something that helps other people.
