Faith In Pieces

Mosaic United Methodist Church

Faith in Pieces is a podcast from Mosaic United Methodist Church where we believe faith doesn’t have to be flawless to be meaningful. It’s minimally edited, always authentic, and grounded in the belief that our stories — our pieces — are worth sharing.

Ask Us Anything: God, Demons & Creation Care

In this episode of Faith in Pieces, Pastor Shuler and Pastor Whitney continue Mosaic’s Ask Us Anything series by tackling questions we didn’t have time to explore during Sunday worship. Why do the Pharisees accuse Jesus of casting out demons by the power of the “ruler of demons”? Is God male, non-binary, or beyond the gendered language we use to describe God? And what responsibility do Christians have to care for the earth and the rest of God’s creation? Together, they explore these questions through Scripture, theology, and conversation, while recognizing that faith doesn’t always require us to arrive at a perfectly packaged answer. Sometimes asking good questions, listening to one another, and continuing the conversation is an important part of building our faith together. In this episode: • Matthew 9:32–34 and the Pharisees’ accusation against Jesus • What Scripture tells us about God and gender • Being created in the image of God • Creation care as a Christian responsibility • The connection between faith, stewardship, and caring for the world around us Faith in Pieces is a podcast from Mosaic United Methodist Church where we build our faith together, piece by piece and story by story. Subscribe for more conversations about faith, Scripture, life, and the questions that don’t always fit neatly into a Sunday morning. #mosaicumctx #faithinpieces #askusanything #umc #unitedmethodist #christianpodcast #faithquestions #biblestudy
