The Mid Year Audit: Becoming Aware Of The Woman You're Becoming

We’re halfway through the year already and before we rush into the next goal, the next season, or the next thing on our to-do list, this episode is an invitation to pause and reflect. In this powerful mid-year audit, Episode 66, I am guiding you through a simple but transformative exercise designed to help you look back on the past six months, celebrate your wins, acknowledge your challenges, and gain clarity for the months ahead. Using the photos on your phone as a timeline of your year so far, you’ll be encouraged to revisit the moments that shaped you, the lessons you’ve learned, and the version of yourself that has emerged through both the highs and the lows. Too often, we focus on where we’re not yet instead of recognising how far we’ve already come. Reflection allows us to collect evidence of our growth, build confidence through lived experience, and develop resilience by honouring the challenges we’ve overcome. Whether this year has felt incredible, difficult, messy, beautiful, or all of the above, this episode will help you reconnect with yourself and move into the second half of the year with greater intention. In This Episode We Discuss: Why self-reflection is one of the most powerful tools for personal growthHow your camera roll can become a timeline of your transformationThe importance of celebrating progress instead of only chasing future goalsReflecting on the highs, wins, and moments that brought you joyLearning from the challenges, setbacks, and difficult seasonCreating intentional goals and priorities for the second half of the yearAs a special gift to accompany this episode, I’ve created a FREE Mid-Year Audit Journal Guide to help you reflect on the first six months of the year and intentionally reset for the months ahead. What 20 Year Old Me Never Saw Coming

Just this month, I attended a business awards night as a finalist for Businesswoman of the Year, and while the recognition itself was incredibly special, it wasn’t what stayed with me. As I sat in that room, I found myself thinking about the 20-year-old version of me... The girl who started a business with big dreams but very little certainty. The girl who thought success would look one way, only to discover that life, business, relationships, motherhood, and personal growth would shape an entirely different path. If you had told me ten years ago that I’d still be standing here, running the same business, helping women transform their lives, raising a family, weathering heartbreak, rebuilding, growing, and being recognised for the work I’ve poured my heart into, I honestly don’t know if I would have believed you. In episode 65, I reflect on the things that younger me never saw coming: The setbacks that became my greatest lessons The moments I wanted to quit The unexpected turns that led me exactly where I was meant to be How success has become less about achievement and more about the woman I’ve had to become along the way This conversation is also an invitation for you to pause and reflect on your own journey. What would the version of you from ten years ago think if she met you today? Would she be proud of your resilience? Would she be amazed by what you’ve overcome? Would she realise that the things you once worried about would eventually become part of your story rather than the end of it? Sometimes we’re so focused on where we’re going that we forget to acknowledge just how far we’ve come. I hope this episode reminds you to celebrate your own evolution, trust the timing of your life, and recognise that the version of you you’re becoming is often beyond anything your younger self could have imagined. The Mum Guilt That Nurtured My Inner Child

In this deeply personal episode, I share a recent experience with my daughter that challenged me as a mother and unexpectedly led me to a profound moment of self-discovery. Like many parents, I’ve experienced mum guilt. When our children are struggling, it’s natural to question ourselves, wonder if we’ve done enough, and carry the weight of wanting to make everything better. During a difficult conversation with my daughter, I found myself wanting to react defensively. It was a familiar feeling, one that instantly transported me back to my own childhood. As I sat with the discomfort, I realised I wasn’t just responding to my daughter. I was also coming face-to-face with a younger version of myself. In that moment, I had a choice. I could react from old wounds, or I could respond in the way I had always wished someone had responded to me. What happened next changed everything. By meeting my daughter’s needs with patience, understanding, and emotional safety, I discovered that I was also giving something to my inner child that she had needed for a very long time. What began as a moment of mum guilt became an opportunity for healing, connection, and growth for both of us. In episode 64, I discuss: Why mum guilt isn’t always something to avoid How our children’s struggles can trigger unresolved parts of ourselves Recognising when you’re responding from past wounds rather than the present moment The connection between parenting and inner child healing Breaking generational patterns through conscious parenting Creating emotional safety during difficult conversations How healing yourself can strengthen your relationship with your child The powerful lessons our children can teach us about ourselves This episode is a reminder that sometimes the moments we feel we’re failing as parents are actually the moments that invite us into deeper understanding, healing, and connection. Understanding Your Attachment Style

Why do some people fear abandonment, while others pull away when relationships become emotionally close? Why do certain patterns continue to repeat in love, friendships, family dynamics, and even within the relationship we have with ourselves? In episode 63, we dive deep into attachment styles and how the experiences we had growing up can shape the way we connect, communicate, trust, love, and protect ourselves today. We explore the four main attachment styles: • Secure Attachment • Anxious Attachment • Avoidant Attachment • Fearful-Avoidant/Disorganised Attachment This episode unpacks: – How attachment styles develop – The nervous system’s role in relationships – Fear of abandonment vs fear of intimacy – Emotional triggers and relationship patterns – Why people chase, withdraw, or shut down – How childhood experiences influence adult relationships – What secure attachment actually looks like – How healing and secure connection are possible This conversation is not about labelling yourself or others. It is about understanding the survival patterns you developed, the ways you learned to feel safe, and how awareness can help you create healthier, more secure relationships moving forward. Your attachment style explains your patterns, it does not define your worth. This is the KFIT Mind & Body Podcast. Real Talk, Womens Talk. How To Boost Your Self Esteem

Your self-esteem impacts the way you speak, show up, connect, and move through life, often without you even realising it. In Episode 62, we unpack the quiet beliefs running beneath the surface (the beliefs of our subconscious mind) and how they shape your confidence, reactions, relationships, and sense of self. We dive into the difference between internal and external beliefs, how many of these limiting stories are formed through the subconscious mind, and why positive affirmations alone often don’t create lasting change. Instead of simply covering up insecurity, this episode explores the deeper work of identifying the beliefs that are truly running the show. You’ll learn how to: Recognise the limiting beliefs influencing your behaviour Understand how subconscious programming shapes self-esteem Identify internal vs external validation patterns Become aware of the thoughts that keep you stuck Rewire beliefs through conscious cognitive reframes Build self-esteem from self-awareness rather than perfection This episode is a reminder that confidence is not something you’re born with, it’s something you build through awareness, healing, and the willingness to challenge the stories you’ve carried for years. If you’ve ever felt not good enough, too much, behind, or disconnected from your worth, this conversation will help you begin shifting the narrative from the inside out. Who Am I Without Training?

For 15 years, training has been a part of my identity. But the reason why I trained has changed through every season of my life. What started from poor body image and wanting to lose weight eventually became survival, healing, emotional regulation, and the place I went to feel strong, confident, and enough. As a single mum, the gym became more than fitness. It became my coping mechanism. And through CrossFit, training gave me purpose, empowerment, and a version of myself that I felt proud of. But after becoming injured and being forced to slow down, I’ve been faced with a really confronting question:Who am I without training? In episode 61, I open up about: • how my relationship with training has evolved over the years • the link between fitness, identity, and self-worth • the emotional impact of injury and losing routine • negative self-talk, body image, and feeling “not enough” • relying on training for confidence and emotional regulation • learning how to sit still and face myself without performance • finding strength and healing outside of the gym This is one of the most vulnerable conversations I’ve had, not from a place of having all the answers, but from being right in the middle of it. If you’ve ever tied your worth to your body, productivity, performance, or training this episode is for you. This is the KFIT Mind & Body Podcast. Real Talk, Womens Talk. Mothers Day Reflection Guide

Motherhood is layered, emotional, beautiful, and at times incredibly heavy and yet, so much of it goes unspoken. In this special Mother’s Day episode, episode 60, we slow things down and create space for reflection. This episode is an invitation for you to pause, step out of the constant giving, and reconnect with yourself within your motherhood journey. Alongside this episode, I introduce the FREE Mother’s Day Reflection Guide—a journaling experience designed to help you explore both the joy and the challenges of being a mum. Because this isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being honest, aware, and compassionate toward yourself. About the Mother’s Day Reflection Guide: This guided journaling resource was created to give you spac to think, to feel, and to be seen in your own experience. Inside the guide, you’ll be prompted to reflect on: Your current season of motherhood What you love and cherish most What feels heavy or overwhelming Who you are becoming What you need more of right now This is not about fixing or changing who you are. It’s about understanding yourself more deeply and meeting yourself with compassion. When you take time to reflect, you create awareness around your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. That awareness allows you to move through motherhood with more intention, more self-trust, and less self-judgment. You don’t need to have it all together. You don’t need to do more to be “enough.” You are already showing up in ways that matter, every single day. Download the FREE Mother’s Day Reflection Guide at www.kfitmindandbody.com and find a quiet moment, and give yourself permission to pause. And if this episode resonated with you, please leave us a review or comment & consider sharing it with another mum who might need to feel seen and supported today.
