Life at Mary Graham Hall: A Temporary Children's Shelter

What happens when a hurting child decides he simply doesn’t care anymore? During my stay at Mary Graham Children’s Shelter, something changed in me. What began as following the rules gradually turned into defiance, anger, and rebellion. Alongside Fernando and Sam, I discovered that breaking rules could get me something I desperately wanted—attention. But there was a price. Looking back, I understand something I couldn’t see then: rebellion wasn’t freedom. It was a prison of my own making. And while others influenced me, the choices I made were ultimately my own. This is part of my story—but it’s also a warning and a lesson, especially for young people struggling with anger, rejection, broken homes, or the temptation to follow the wrong crowd. Are you a Success or a Failure? What Does God Say?

ARE YOU A SUCCESS OR FAILURE? | What Does God Say? The world measures success by money, possessions, intelligence, influence, education, and accomplishments. But God measures success by an entirely different standard. You can gain wealth, recognition, and everything this world has to offer—and still be a failure in the sight of God. On the other hand, you may live a quiet and unnoticed life, possess very little by worldly standards, and yet be a tremendous success in the eyes of your Creator. In this powerful message, Brother Carlton examines the sobering truth that there is no true success outside the will of God—and no ultimate failure within the will of God. Scripture exposes mankind's natural condition apart from Christ and reminds us that human achievement cannot overcome the fundamental problem of sin. Romans 1 gives us a devastating picture of what happens when people reject God, exchange His truth for a lie, and worship the creature rather than the Creator. But what does genuine success look like? A godly father who faithfully leads his family can be a success. A mother who raises her children in the nurture and fear of the Lord can be a success. A Christian who loves Christ, obeys His Word, and faithfully walks in God's will is successful—whether or not the world ever recognizes it. Jesus said: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” — John 14:15 Before you measure your life by your bank account, career, possessions, popularity, or accomplishments, ask yourself the far more important question: Am I a success in the eyes of God? Watch until the end, examine your life in light of Scripture, and share this message with someone who needs to hear it. How to Have a Good Conscience

A GOOD CONSCIENCE — CAN YOU SAY YOUR CONSCIENCE IS CLEAR BEFORE GOD? “Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.” — Hebrews 13:18 KJV What does it really mean to have a good conscience before God? A quiet conscience is not necessarily a good conscience. A person can become so accustomed to sin that the conscience becomes hardened and seared. On the other hand, the believer whose conscience is informed by the Word of God becomes increasingly sensitive to sin and increasingly desirous of walking in obedience to Christ. In this episode of The Brother Carlton Show, we examine A.W. Pink’s powerful teaching on the conscience and consider the marks of a good conscience: sincerity, tenderness, fidelity, and tranquility. We also consider how a good conscience is obtained and maintained through: • Daily searching of the Scriptures • Honest self-examination before God • Obedience to God’s revealed will • Watchfulness and prayer • Resistance and mortification of sin • Repentance and confession • Faith in the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ Paul said: “And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.” — Acts 24:16 KJV That raises a serious question for every professing Christian: What is the condition of your conscience before God today? Without Repentance, There Is No Salvation | Jonathan Edwards

Repentance is one of the most neglected doctrines in modern Christianity, yet Scripture repeatedly declares that it is essential to salvation. In this powerful sermon by Jonathan Edwards, we examine what the Bible actually teaches about genuine repentance—not merely feeling sorry for sin, but a God-worked change of heart that results in turning away from sin and turning to Christ. The introduction explains repentance as a change of mind and heart that leads to renouncing sin rather than continuing in it while expecting heaven. Edwards shows from Scripture that true repentance involves: Hating sin because it is against God. Godly sorrow over personal sin. Humble confession before the Lord. Forsaking sinful practices. Repenting not only in general, but also of specific sins that have dishonored God and harmed others. Jesus Himself warned: "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3) This message is a solemn reminder that the gospel is not merely about forgiveness—it is about transformation through the grace of God. But what if the greatest danger isn't the economy... but the condition of our own hearts? In this eye-opening study from Matthew 6:25-34, we examine A.W. How to Have a Peaceful Conscience Before God | J.C. Ryle + Bonus Puritan Wisdom

Can a guilty sinner ever have true peace with God? In this powerful reading from J.C. Ryle, we discover why a peaceful conscience can never be found through religion, good works, or self-improvement—but only through the finished work of Jesus Christ. Ryle beautifully explains the glorious doctrine of justification by faith, showing how Christ lived, died, rose again, and now intercedes for His people. Because of His perfect righteousness, guilty sinners can stand accepted before a holy God. This is the only lasting foundation for peace. In this study you'll discover: Why justification by Christ alone brings true peace Why no amount of good works can quiet a guilty conscience The glorious exchange: Christ takes our sin and gives us His righteousness Why awakened consciences always find their answer in Christ alone A powerful bonus reading from the Puritan Thomas Brooks on the blessing of a good conscience In an age filled with religious confusion, self-help messages, and false assurances, this biblical teaching is more relevant than ever. Whether you're struggling with guilt, seeking assurance of salvation, or simply longing to grow deeper in your understanding of the gospel, this message will encourage and strengthen your faith. FOLLOW ME! | A Summer Reflection From Beautiful June Lake

Come with me to beautiful June Lake, California—where snow-capped mountains, clear water, fresh air, and the beauty of God’s creation provide the backdrop for a short Christian reflection. While my family and I were enjoying some summer vacation time on the lake, seeing people fishing brought to mind the words of Jesus: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” — Matthew 4:19 KJV What a wonderful setting to remember that the God who created these magnificent mountains, lakes, and everything around us also calls us to follow His Son. But what does it mean to truly follow Jesus? In this short, informal message from our boat, I encourage you to examine that question, spend time in God’s Word, walk in the path of the godly, and remember that following Christ is far more than simply calling ourselves Christians. We may enjoy fishing for fish—but Jesus calls His followers to become fishers of men. If you're NEW to my channel, welcome! This short video is only a small taste of what you'll find here.
