Later, God brought Semise into his life, who was also seeking a partner. They married and blended their families—Sherman with one child, and Semise with four children—and now enjoy eight grandchildren together. Their marriage faced its own challenges that led to their divorce, but through this struggle, God revealed patterns from their past and guided them to restore their marriage. They remarried after being divorced for 3&1/2 years. Their personal journey of healing and reconciliation has inspired their current ministry, where they help other couples restore their marriages. They co-founded their marriage coaching business, Marriage Restoration Ministry, Inc where they coach couples to strengthen their relationships with God and each other.   Semise Daley Bio Semise was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. When she was a toddler, her mother and father eloped to Fairfield California and lived near her paternal grandmother, Helen. When she was 5 years old, her mother left her father and returned to NOLA with Semise. Shortly afterwards her parents divorced.  She is her mother’s only child, but she has two half-sisters, one half-brother, and one stepsister from her father’s other marriages and relationships. Growing up without a stable father figure in her life was very difficult growing up. But being close to her maternal grandmother, Azena, and going to church with her was what introduced her to a solid relationship with the Heavenly Father. That introduction has led her to stay close to God and His church. She has served in the ministry in various capacities, including lending her nursing professional skills to the faith community as a Parish Nurse in New Orleans, LA, Evansville, IN, and now in San Diego, CA. You're Not Crazy, You're Grieving

You keep checking his phone. The discovery keeps replaying in your mind, on a loop you didn't choose. And somewhere in the middle of it, a voice keeps asking if something is wrong with you.It isn't.In this episode, Sherman and Semise Daley speak directly to the betrayed spouse, whoever is on the other side of infidelity, an emotional affair, pornography, or another broken action. They name the trauma honestly, biblically and psychologically, before any teaching about forgiveness begins, and draw the line between the one decision you make with God and the one you rebuild with your spouse. What we cover:• Why checking behavior, hypervigilance, and needing to re-ask questions are trauma responses to a real attachment wound, not signs you're not being a good enough Christian• MRM's External / Internal / Philosophical framework, applied to what the betrayed spouse is actually carrying• The single most damaging mistake made on this topic: confusing forgiveness (a decision you make with God) with trust (something earned and rebuilt with your spouse)• What Joseph's words to his brothers in Genesis 50 teach about naming a wrong honestly before you ever arrive at "God meant it for good"• Why Jesus' answer of seventy-seven times (Matthew 18) takes the pressure off needing to reach total peace in one sitting• Four things you're actually allowed to ask for, from one complete disclosure to consistent, visible follow-through over timeTimestamps:0:00 Intro- Name What You're Actually Feeling- Why It Hurts This Deep — Forgiveness vs. Trust- What God Actually Says to You — Joseph, Psalm 34 & 147- What You're Allowed to Ask For — Four Steps- Close + Next StepKey Scriptures: Psalm 34:18 · Psalm 147:3 · Genesis 50:19-20 · Matthew 18:21-22 · Romans 12:19 · 2 Corinthians 1:3-4READY TO GO DEEPER?If this episode hit home, you don't have to carry this alone.Book Your Free Discovery Call: https://restoredmarriages.com/discoveryFree Marriage Health Assessment: https://restoredmarriages.com/assessmentStuck in the same conflict on repeat? Will I Ever Be Forgiven for Cheating?

You did it. And now there's a question sitting on your chest heavier than the secret ever was. Will I ever be forgiven for this? Not by your spouse — not yet. By God. By yourself. In this episode, Sherman and Semise Daley speak directly to the spouse who broke trust — through infidelity, an emotional affair, pornography, or another broken action. Not to rank the offense. Not to explain it away. They walk through, biblically and psychologically, what real repentance actually requires, and give a direct, honest answer to the question underneath the guilt: will you ever be forgiven. What we cover:• The difference between godly grief and worldly shame (2 Corinthians 7:10) — and why only one of them leads anywhere good• Why waiting to "feel bad enough" to come clean is a trap, according to a 2025 study on guilt and regret• What Nathan's confrontation of David teaches about why real repentance almost never starts on its own• David's full journey in Psalm 51 — and the direct, unqualified answer Scripture gives to "will I ever be forgiven"• The four things real presence through your spouse's pain actually requires• The two most damaging false expectations an offending spouse can carry — and what Ephesians 4:32 actually promises insteadTimestamps:0:00 Intro - Name the Weight — Two Kinds of Grief- The Anatomy of How This Happens — Guilt vs. Shame- What God Actually Says to You — David, Psalm 51- What Real Repentance Costs — Four Steps- Close + Next StepKey Scriptures:Psalm 51:3-4, 10 · 2 Corinthians 7:10 · Proverbs 28:13 · Ephesians 4:32 · 1 John 1:9READY TO GO DEEPER?If this episode hit home, you don't have to figure out repentance or a hard season alone.Book Your Free Discovery Call: https://restoredmarriages.com/discoveryFree Marriage Health Assessment: https://restoredmarriages.com/assessmentABOUT RESTORED MARRIAGE RADIOGod restored our marriage after real brokenness — and now we guide couples like you back to each other and back to God. Is It Too Late for Us? Rebuilding Trust After Betrayal

You found out. Maybe it was a text message. Maybe it was the browser history. Maybe it was a name that kept coming up one too many times. And now there's one question you can't stop asking yourself, usually somewhere around two in the morning: is it too late for us?In this episode, Sherman and Semise Daley tackle betrayal head-on, walking through infidelity, emotional affairs, and pornography from both a biblical and a psychological lens. They show why Scripture never ranks one kind of betrayal against another, why concealment (not the sin itself) is what actually predicts whether a marriage recovers, what real accountability looks like, and why "too late" is a category God has never once worked in.What we cover:• Why Scripture doesn't rank betrayal — physical infidelity, emotional affairs, and pornography all break the same covenant trust (Matthew 5:27-28)• The Gottman Institute's research on real, measurable trauma symptoms in betrayed spouses• Shirley Glass's "window and wall" framework, and how betrayal turns it backward• Why owning your five percent is the first, and hardest, step toward healing• The story of Hosea, and God's own answer to "too late"• The numbers behind the teaching — daily pornography use linked to a 45% drop in reported commitment, and divorce risk nearly doubling, even in marriages both spouses call "very happy"• 4 practical steps to start rebuilding trust this weekTimestamps:0:00 Intro5:56 Why Your Reaction Isn't Overreacting — It's Trauma9:59 The Window and the Wall12:15 Own Your Five Percent16:15 God's Answer to "Too Late"19:41 The 12–36 Month Timeline21:23 Close + Next StepKey Scriptures:Matthew 5:27-28 · Proverbs 28:13 · James 5:16 · Hosea 1-3READY TO GO DEEPER?If this episode hit home, you don't have to figure out betrayal or a hard season alone.Book Your Free Discovery Call:https://restoredmarriages.com/discoveryFree Marriage Health Assessment:https://restoredmarriages.com/assessmentABOUT RESTORED MARRIAGE RADIOGod restored our marriage after real brokenness — and now we guide couples like you back to each other and back to God. Developmental and Therapeutic Parenting

A ten-year-old can walk through your door with a ten-year-old body, and a much younger child still living inside it.Trauma freezes development. It doesn't erase it — it just stalls it.If you've ever asked yourself what's wrong with this kid, this episode asks a better question instead. In this episode, Sherman and Semise Daley walk through why a child's chronological age and developmental age often don't match, especially after trauma, loss, or disruption. Using MRM's External / Internal / Philosophical framework, they show what's really underneath a child's hardest behavior, and why the Regulate, Relate, Reflect sequence has to come before correction ever works. What we cover:• Why a child's chronological age and developmental age often don't match, especially after trauma, loss, or disruption• MRM's External / Internal / Philosophical framework, applied to what's really underneath a child's hardest behavior• The Regulate, Relate, Reflect sequence, and why correction before connection never works• What Psalm 103, Romans 8, Ephesians 6, and 1 Thessalonians 2 were already teaching about parenting a child's actual frame, long before the research caught up• The numbers behind the teaching — roughly 332,000 children in the U.S. foster care system, and the training approach that cut incident reports by 93.5% in two years• 3 practical steps to try this week, starting with the one sentence to say before you say anything elseTimestamps:0:00 Intro1:45 Name the Shift6:30 What We've Seen10:30 What the Research Found, Scripture Already Knew15:30 Path Forward19:00 Close + Next StepKey Scriptures:Psalm 103:13-14 · Romans 8:15 · Ephesians 6:4 · 1 Thessalonians 2:7-8, 11-12READY TO GO DEEPER?If this episode hit home, you don't have to figure out a hard child, or a hard season, alone.Book Your Free Discovery Call:https://www.google.com/url?q=https://restoredmarriages.com&source=gmail&ust=1788902125588000&sa=EFree Marriage Health Assessment:https://www.google.com/url?q=https://restoredmarriages.com/assessment&source=gmail&ust=1788902125588000&sa=EABOUT RESTORED MARRIAGE RADIOGod restored our marriage after real brokenness — and now we guide couples like you back to each other and back to God. Second Marriages at Higher Risk, and the Myth Everyone Quotes

Second marriages carry a higher divorce risk than first marriages. That part is true. However, the 67% figure everyone quotes doesn't trace back to any real study. If you're remarried, engaged again, or walking alongside someone who is, this episode is for you.In this episode, Sherman and Semise Daley separate what the research actually shows from the number that's been repeated so often nobody questions it anymore. They walk through why second marriages carry more risk using MRM's External / Internal / Philosophical framework, then lay out exactly what closes the gap for couples willing to do the work. What We Cover:• The real range behind "second marriages fail more," and why the popular 67% figure can't be traced to any dataset• MRM's External / Internal / Philosophical framework applied to why marriage number two carries more weight than marriage number one• Why blended family integration takes 4 to 7 years, not 4 to 7 months, and what that does to unprepared couples• The six risk drivers researchers keep finding, and the covenant answer to each one• Why closing the divorce door has to be a decision, not a feeling, the second time around• 3 practical steps to protect a second marriage, starting this weekTimestamps:0:00 Intro1:45 Name the Risk6:30 What We've Seen10:30 What the Research Found, Scripture Already Knew15:30 Path Forward19:00 Close + Next StepKey Scriptures:Malachi 2:14 · Luke 6:45 · Isaiah 43:18-19 · Philippians 3:13-14Ready to Go Deeper? If this episode hit home, you don't have to figure this out alone.• Book Your Free Discovery Call: https://restoredmarriages.com• Free Marriage Health Assessment: https://restoredmarriages.com/assessmentAbout Restored Marriage RadioGod restored our marriage after real brokenness — and now we guide couples like you back to each other and back to God. Why Christian Couples Still Divorce — What They Missed Before It Was Too Late

Wives usually see it coming years before husbands do.Not because men don't care — because nobody trained either of you to notice contempt, criticism, or stonewalling building for years before anyone calls it quits. If you've ever wondered "what am I missing?" — this episode is for you.In this episode, Sherman and Semise Daley take on the myth that's let too many Christian couples down their guard: that a "Christian" marriage divorces at the same rate as anyone else, so faith alone will hold it together. It won't. Practiced, shared faith does — and Sherman and Semise walk through exactly what that means, backed by the research and by their own story of missing the warning signs before they knew to look for them. What we cover:• The real numbers behind "Christians divorce at the same rate as everyone else" — and the one factor that actually predicts a lasting marriage• MRM's External / Internal / Philosophical framework — the three levels every "sudden" divorce was actually building on for years• Why wives identify 7 of 13 warning signs as things getting worse over time — and husbands identify only 1 of 13• Contempt, criticism, defensiveness, and stonewalling — and the Scripture that named them centuries before the research did• Why counseling cuts divorce risk by roughly 31% — and why only 1 in 4 Christian couples ever ask for it• 3 practical steps to take this week, before it becomes a crisisTimestamps:0:00 Intro1:45 The Divorce Myth, Named6:30 Our Story — The Signs We Missed10:30 What Scripture Already Told Us15:30 The Path Forward19:00 Close + Next StepKey Scriptures:Proverbs 16:18 · Proverbs 15:1 · James 1:19 · Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 · 1 Corinthians 13:4–7READY TO GO DEEPER?If this episode hit home, you don't have to figure this out alone.Book Your Free Discovery Call: https://www.google.com/url?q=https://restoredmarriages.com&source=gmail&ust=1787630254200000&sa=EFree Marriage Health Assessment: https://www.google.com/url?q=https://restoredmarriages.com/assessment&source=gmail&ust=1787630254200000&sa=EABOUT RESTORED MARRIAGE RADIOGod restored our marriage after real brokenness — and now we guide couples like you back to each other and back to God. Where Are You? The Spiritual Leadership Crisis in Christian Marriage

She's leading the family devotions. She's up praying at midnight for a marriage, a prodigal child, a husband who hasn't opened his Bible in months. He's not a bad man — he's just checked out. If that's your home, this episode is for you. In this episode, Sherman and Semise Daley tackle the spiritual leadership crisis head-on — the growing number of Christian homes where the wife has become the spiritual engine while the husband has quietly stepped back. No shame, no sugarcoating, and no dodging the headship-versus-servant-leadership conversation everyone's arguing about right now. What we cover: •  Why so many wives are carrying the spiritual weight of the home alone •  The MRM three-level framework: what's happening externally, internally, and philosophically in a spiritually checked-out marriage •  Sherman and Semise's own story — where he coasted and she gripped tighter •  What biblical headship actually means (and why it's not what most people think) •  Servant leadership modeled by Christ, not control dressed up as authority •  3 practical steps couples can start tonight Key Scriptures: Genesis 3:9 · Joshua 24:15 · Ephesians 5:21, 25 · 1 Corinthians 11:3 · Mark 10:45 · 1 Peter 3:7 · Deuteronomy 6:6-7 READY TO GO DEEPER?
