Name That Film, Drop That Track, Call That Anime

In this episode of Patch Notes 3.0, Sergio puts Robert and Miguel through a three-round pop-culture gauntlet that tests their movie, music, and anime knowledge. The boys start with an actor face-off—DiCaprio, Hathaway, The Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Lawrence, and Timothée Chalamet—before moving to a song showdown featuring Taylor Swift, Drake, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, and Lady Gaga. Miguel battles some painful memory gaps (“The Assistant”? It’s The Intern!, “Fighting With My Family” was right there) while Robert racks up a clean sweep. The anime lightning round brings some redemption as they rapid-fire through DBZ, Naruto, One Piece, JJK, and more. Expect chaotic laughs, friendly trash talk, and classic Patch Notes energy as the scoreboard ends 12-1 in Robert’s favor—but not without Miguel’s humble comeback speech and Swiftie apologies.

Serg Goes Grandmaster IRL (Higher/Lower Edition)

In this episode of Patch Notes 3.0, the boys play a full-blown Higher / Lower showdown across five ridiculous categories: animal top speeds, movie counts for A-list actors, which sports franchises are actually older, YouTube’s most-viewed videos, and the Google popularity of cryptids (yes, really). Before the chaos: Cowboys/Jets talk, book & show updates (Silo/Wool, Lost, Breaking Bad), Serge’s push to Grandmaster in League, Speed’s 35-day IRL tour, Dua Lipa in Dallas (with Cowboys Cheerleaders), Taylor Swift jet discourse, Greek Fest & improv in ABQ, Texas State Fair food sins, and some anime notes (Infinity Castle, HxH). Serge surges ahead, Robert rallies late, Miguel hosts 192 slides like a menace. Points fly, pride’s on the line, and we crown an inaugural Higher/Lower champion.
