Faith, Doubt & Christianity with Pastor Brit Windel

Send us Fan Mail What does Christianity look like in the world today—and can we talk about it without trying to change each other’s minds? This week on the Y’all Be Good Podcast, Ralf and Heather sit down with friend and DayBreak Church pastor Brit Windel for an open conversation about faith, doubt, church, Christianity, and the questions that come along with all of it. Ralf grew up in the church. Heather didn’t. Those different backgrounds give them very different perspectives and plenty of questions, so we invited Brit to join us at the table. Brit has a heart for people and for the community around him, and DayBreak is a church that believes faith should extend beyond what happens inside the walls on Sunday morning. We talk about that, the way Christianity is perceived today, some of the good and bad that can come with church culture, and what it actually means to live out what you believe. There’s no big debate to win in this episode. No attempt to convert anybody. And we certainly don’t solve religion in an hour. 😂 It’s simply three friends with different experiences sitting around a table, asking questions, sharing perspectives, and being willing to talk about something that can sometimes be difficult to talk about. Whether you’ve spent your whole life in church, walked away from it, have questions about faith, or don’t believe at all—you’re welcome to listen in. Faith, Doubt & Christianity with Pastor Brit Windel, this week on the Y’all Be Good Podcast.

Once Upon a Business: Steve & Maloree McNabb

Send us Fan Mail This week on the Y’all Be Good Podcast, Heather and Ralf sit down with Steve and Maloree McNabb, the husband-and-wife team behind the local Once Upon A Child franchise in Kenosha. What makes their story especially interesting is that owning a children’s resale store wasn’t always the plan. Both Steve and Maloree had successful careers outside of the industry before taking a leap into small-business ownership and building something completely different together. We talk about what led them to make that change, what they’ve learned about running a business as a couple, and what life really looks like behind the scenes of a store that buys and sells thousands of gently used kids’ clothes, shoes, toys, and baby items. We also dig into the idea behind resale itself—giving families an affordable way to shop while helping extend the life of items their kids have already outgrown instead of sending perfectly usable things to a landfill. But what Heather and Ralf appreciate most about Steve and Maloree is the way they show up for their community. They’ve consistently supported other local businesses, generously given their time and resources, and have become great friends of Little Lion Cuts along the way. It’s a conversation about career changes, marriage, entrepreneurship, sustainability, community, and taking a chance on a completely new chapter. This week, we’re talking small business with Steve and Maloree McNabb.
