Don't get me wrong, being positive is, well, positive. It is inherently a good thing and having a positive outlook when facing life is certainly better than approaching it with a dark, bleak outlook. But what if too much positivity ends up being a net negative? I am talking about the trend that is sometimes being pushed, that smile and be positive is the answer to everything. And the pressure of attaining and maintaining this constant state. Where is the line of over selling positivity, but not sliding also into the darkness during heavy times. "Be a better human than you were the day before" Seems simple and maybe it should be just that. I have noticed a trend that is seeping into this healing culture and don't get me wrong, it is far better to have this happening than where we have been. But is it possible that the divine feminine movement is creating false expectations that are accelerated by social media? Could it be that in the quest to re-connect with feminine energy and reclaim that power, that we could be putting tremendous pressure on ourselves? It is important to acknowledge all of the people who have made changes in their lives and in their internal struggles, for they do exist.
