Ask Me: Wife, Mom, Designer = GOD

Braisha Owens Mount

Ask Me: Wife, Mom, Designer = GOD Produced by GOD. Hosted by me, Braisha Owens Mount. I'm a luxury denim designer, fashion stylist, muva to a tiny CEO, wife to a KING, and a walking prayer—literally. And this podcast? It’s my open diary, bible study group, and group chat all wrapped into one. I created this space because people kept asking me, “How are you doing it all?” And truthfully? I’m not. GOD is. I’m just showing up—being obedient—and sharing the journey. Within one year, I became a mom and planned my dream wedding. That’s a lot of shifting in a short amount of time. I didn’t have time to lose myself, but I also didn’t know exactly who I was becoming. What I learned is this: You can carry every title—wife, mom, designer—and still hold on to YOU. Here on Ask Me, we talk grace, grit, garments, and GOD. We unpack entrepreneurship, motherhood, marriage, fashion wellness, faith, and identity—not from a perfect place but a real one. I don’t have all the answers, nor will I ever. I’m not the blueprint. But I am a living testimony of what it means to evolve into a greater you and still protect your peace. If you’re in a season of transition and wondering where YOU went, you’re not alone. Your purpose didn’t disappear. It’s just shifting. And you’re growing into it. So yeah—don’t ask me how I’m doing it… Ask GOD.

    Surrendering the Timeline

Send us Fan Mail SEASON 2 FINALE: Delays and Divine Timing In this reflective and faith-centered episode, we unpack the weight of what we often call “delays” and challenge the way we’ve been taught to view timing in our lives. Is it truly a delay—or is it something deeper? This conversation explores the difference between real, measurable delays and the emotional, spiritual pressure we place on ourselves when life doesn’t move as quickly as we expect. You’ll be invited to reconsider the narratives shaped by culture—where speed equals success—and instead lean into a perspective rooted in trust, surrender, and divine timing. We dive into how releasing control over timelines can break the anxiety of feeling “behind,” and how what feels like a setback may actually be protection, preparation, or alignment. Through powerful imagery and honest reflection, this episode reminds you that surrender isn’t passive—it’s a posture of faith. You’ll also hear encouragement around releasing internal pressure, trusting unseen growth, and choosing God’s pace over hustle culture. Because not everything in your life is meant to be rushed—including who you are becoming. If you’ve been questioning your timing, feeling stuck, or wondering if you’ve missed your moment, this episode offers a grounding truth: You’re not late. You’re not behind. And what’s meant for you is still unfolding—right on time. Take a breath, release the pressure, and lean into the pace that was always meant for you. The Ministry of Friendship & Community

Send us Fan Mail In this heartfelt episode, we’re diving into the sacred, often overlooked role of friendship and community in our everyday lives. Beyond curated moments and surface-level connections, this conversation explores what it really means to experience authentic, evolving relationships—especially through the shifting seasons of womanhood, motherhood, and personal growth. We begin with a gentle wellness check-in, inviting you to reflect on your current state of connection—whether you feel supported, stretched thin, or quietly longing for something deeper. From there, we unpack the truth about changing friendships and how grace allows us to honor where we are without forcing relationships to remain the same. This episode is a reminder that sisterhood isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline. We talk about the power of having women who uplift, pray, and stand beside you without competition or comparison. You’ll also hear an honest take on navigating jealousy, embracing discernment, and learning how to genuinely support other women from a place of security and alignment. At its core, this conversation reframes community as a vital part of wellness—something that heals, restores, and strengthens us in ways we can’t achieve alone. And as always, we close with a meaningful reflection: who you surround yourself with matters just as much as how you show up in the world. The Soft Life Ain’t Soft If You Don’t Rest

Send us Fan Mail Episode Description: In this deeply personal and faith-centered episode, we’re redefining what it truly means to live a “soft life.” Because the truth is—there’s nothing soft about a life without rest. This episode is your intentional wellness check-in. A moment to pause, reflect, and be honest about where you are—mentally, physically, and spiritually. Rooted in Matthew 11:28, we explore the truth that rest is not a luxury or a reward—it’s an act of obedience. Through real-life reflections on burnout, motherhood, purpose, and pace, this conversation unpacks why exhaustion isn’t always about doing too much—but sometimes about doing what isn’t aligned. We talk about:  Recognizing the signs of burnout and honoring your body  Letting go of hustle culture and embracing intentional rest  The connection between self-care, soul-care, and self-love  Surrendering goals to stay aligned with God’s will  Why slowing down is essential for clarity and purpose  Protecting your peace through boundaries and discernment This episode is a reminder that:  Rest is foundational.  Alignment requires stillness.  And peace is something you must steward intentionally. If you’ve been feeling stretched, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself—this conversation will meet you right where you are. Because you don’t have to exhaust yourself to prove you’re called. Rest is not optional.  Peace is not negotiable. Marriage in the Messy Middle

Send us Fan Mail Ask Me: Wife, Mom, Designer = God is a podcast for women who want to get dressed—and live—from a place of wholeness, self-love, and stewardship of their God-given gifts. Hosted by Braisha Owens Mount—luxury denim designer, stylist, wife, and mama—this podcast is rooted in one truth: getting dressed is about identity. We talk faith, marriage, motherhood, creativity, and showing up fully—without guilt or performance. No fluff. Just grace, grit, garments, and God. Because how you get dressed matters—and calling and chaos can coexist. Episode 4: Marriage in the Messy Middle The “messy middle” of marriage is the part no one glamorizes. It’s not the honeymoon phase.  It’s not the “we’ve made it” season. It’s the in-between—where love and exhaustion exist at the same time… where intimacy shifts, responsibilities grow, and partnership is tested in real life. In this episode, I’m opening up about what the messy middle looks like in my own marriage:  Raising a toddler who still sleeps with us  Navigating two careers  Adjusting to life beyond just “us”  Learning how to be parents while still choosing to be partners This season is stretching—but it’s also sacred. And the only way I’m holding it all together is God. We talk about:  What unconditional love really looks like in real life  How to communicate when both partners are tired  Giving each other grace while learning parenthood together  Redefining intimacy and romance after kids  Choosing each other daily—even in small, consistent ways Because marriage isn’t about perfection—it’s about intentionality. Closing If you’re in the messy middle, you’re not failing—you’re forming. Stay willing.  Stay gracious.  Keep choosing love. Share this with a mom who needs it—and ask yourself:  What would it look like to give more grace in your marriage right now? Until next time—  Get dressed with intention. Move with confidence. Don’t ask me how I’m doing it—ask God. Welcome to Ask Me: Wife, Mom, Designer = God. I’m Braisha Owens Mount—luxury denim designer, stylist, fashion executive, wife, and mama. A woman who believes getting dressed is never just about clothes. It’s about identity. This podcast isn’t about having it all—it’s about honoring who you are right now, while becoming the woman God is shaping you to be. Here, style starts on the inside. Just real conversations about grace, grit, garments, and God. Because calling and chaos can absolutely coexist. ✨ This episode is for the moms. The ones living real life. We talk about redefining personal style after becoming a mom, honoring the body that carried life, and learning how to show up confidently in the clothes that support your real life. Because style doesn’t disappear when you become a mother—it evolves. 🎙️ In this episode, we talk about: • Why obedience doesn’t always feel good before it feels fruitful • Letting go of the version of yourself that no longer fits • Dressing for the life you actually live now • Finding confidence in comfort and functionality • The power of structured yet relaxed fashion in motherhood • Sets, oversized silhouettes, and accessories that keep style effortless • Stepping into the identity of a fashion executive while navigating motherhood This season of style is about comfort, confidence, and identity Support the show If you liked what you heard, here’s how you can support the show: follow, leave a review, share it with a friend, or head over to https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=AJCKGTVEQ6RML to donate or join the community on all socials Join the  Style Lounge: Style Lounge helps women discover their style personality, build confidence, and express who they are through fashion, wellness, and community, on the Skool platform.Follow/Subscribe – Make sure you’re following the show on your favorite podcast app so you never miss an episode.Rate & Review – If you enjoyed the episode, leave a 5-star rating and a quick review—it helps a ton!Share the Show – Send this episode to a friend or post it on social media if you found it helpful!Donations – Support the show with a monetary tip at https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=AJCKGTVEQ6RML Every bit helps- okurr!
