Share Your Hope: Be Ready to Give an Answer

Sharing your faith can feel intimidating. Many of us worry we won't have the right words or the answers to difficult questions. But in this encouraging message from 1 Peter 3:13–15, Pastor Justin Larkin reminds us that God isn't asking us to be Bible scholars—He's asking us to be faithful witnesses. Peter wrote to Christians who were misunderstood, criticized, and even persecuted because of their faith. Instead of responding with fear or anger, he challenged them to continue doing good, honor Christ as Lord, and always be ready to explain the hope they have in Jesus. That same challenge is for us today. In this sermon, you'll discover how to overcome the fear of what others think, why Jesus' authority is greater than people's opinions, and why your personal story of hope is more powerful than having every theological answer. You don't have to know everything—you simply need to know why Jesus has changed your life. Whether you've been hesitant to speak about your faith or you've been praying for opportunities to share the Gospel, this message will encourage you to trust God, prepare your heart, and confidently share the hope you've found in Christ. ✨ Keynotes to Reflect With Fear should never be louder than your faith.Jesus' authority matters more than people's opinions. You don't need every answer—you need your answer.Your story of hope can open the door to someone else's faith.God calls every believer to share the hope found in Christ.A life of kindness gives credibility to a message of hope.Be prepared today because God may provide an opportunity tomorrow. The greatest testimony you have is what Jesus has done in your life.If this message spoke to you, be sure to: 👉 Follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/northeastchurch/ 👉 Visit our website at mynecchurch.com 👉 Subscribe to our YouTube channel @northeastchristianchurch8431 Someone in your life may not need a theological debate—they may simply need to hear why you have hope. Go and Do Likewise | Luke 10

What does it really mean to love our neighbors? In this message from Northeast Christian Church, Pastor Justin Larkin walks through Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10 and challenges us to move beyond simply knowing what God says to actually doing what God says. God loves to do extraordinary things through ordinary people. We may not feel impressive, qualified, or “spiritual enough,” but God can use us exactly where He has placed us to lead others toward Jesus. Through the story of the Good Samaritan, we’re reminded that love doesn’t require agreement before it takes action. The Samaritan saw someone in need and chose to serve him, while others simply walked past. Jesus’ command is simple: “Go and do likewise.” Our service doesn’t have to be dramatic. It can look like buying someone lunch, checking in on a friend, helping someone move, sitting with someone in the hospital, or simply noticing someone who needs help. We don't have to change someone's entire life—we just have to be willing not to walk past them. Pastor Justin also reminds us of the love Christ demonstrated for us: while we were still sinners, Jesus died for us. In the same way, our service makes the love of Jesus visible to the people around us. Who's Sitting at Your Table? | Jesus' Surprising Strategy for Reaching People

What if the most powerful form of evangelism isn't standing on a stage, but sitting around a table? In this message from Matthew 9:9–13, Pastor Justin Larkin explores Jesus' encounter with Matthew the tax collector and reveals why Jesus consistently chose relationship before religious performance. Instead of avoiding broken people, Jesus shared meals, built connections, and invited them to follow Him. If you've ever wondered how to reach friends, family members, coworkers, or neighbors who don't know Christ, this sermon offers a practical and biblical answer: start by pulling up a chair. Discover why every believer has "one job," why connection matters, and how God can use ordinary conversations to change someone's eternity. ✨ Key Notes to Reflect On ☑️ Jesus saw Matthew before He saw his past. ☑️ Connection is the starting point for sharing the Gospel. ☑️ You can't lead people to Jesus if you never get close enough to know them. ☑️ Jesus modeled relationship before correction. ☑️ Every believer has "one job"—lead people to Christ. ☑️ Ask yourself: Who's sitting at your table? You’ve Got One Job: Lead People to Jesus

What if the most important mission God has given you isn’t something you need to add to your already-busy schedule—but something you can live out right where you are? In this message from Northeast Christian Church, Pastor Justin Larkin explores Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28 and His instructions in Acts 1:8. Jesus makes our mission clear: go and make disciples, beginning right where God has placed you. We may look at other people’s mistakes and laugh at the classic “you had one job” moments, but what happens when we realize that we have a job too? As followers of Jesus, our role is to lead people to Him. Pastor Justin reminds us that we aren't responsible for saving people—that’s Jesus’ work. We are called to participate in what God is already doing by planting seeds, serving others, sharing the gospel, praying, and intentionally building relationships. So where do we begin? Jesus told His disciples to start in Jerusalem—the place where they already lived, worked, raised families, and built relationships. In the same way, our mission begins wherever God has already placed us. Your “Jerusalem” might be your workplace, school, neighborhood, gym, sports team, friendship circle, or even your own home. The people around you are not random—they may be the very people God has placed in your life so you can point them toward Him. You’ve got one job: lead people to Jesus. The harvest is ready. The question is: Are we ready? ✨ Keynotes to Reflect With We have one job: Lead people to Jesus.Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth, and He calls us to make disciples. Our job is not to save people. Jesus is the one who saves. We are called to participate in the work God is already doing.Like Paul planted and Apollos watered, God makes things grow. Fight the Good Fight: Don't Quit Before God Is Finished

What do you do when you're tired, discouraged, and ready to quit? In this week's message, Pastor Justin Larkin takes us through 1 & 2 Timothy, where the Apostle Paul gives one final challenge to his young protégé: Fight the good fight of faith. Every believer faces moments when walking with Christ feels difficult. We battle discouragement, comparison, temptation, disappointment, and the desire to give up. But Scripture reminds us that faith isn't built in one defining moment—it's built through daily obedience and faithful perseverance. As Paul reflects on his own life, his challenge becomes his testimony: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." His words remind us that following Jesus isn't about living a perfect life—it's about remaining faithful until the very end. Whether you're in a season of struggle, exhaustion, or simply wondering if it's worth continuing, this message will encourage you to keep running, keep trusting, and keep fighting the fight that matters most. Because a life that finishes well is built one faithful day at a time. ✨ Keynotes to Reflect With ✅ Run from the things that pull you away from Christ. ✅ Pursue the character that God is forming within you. ✅ Spiritual growth doesn't happen by accident—it requires intentional faithfulness. ✅ You don't fight to earn salvation; you fight because Christ has already given you new life. ✅ When you're weary, rest in Christ—but don't give up. ✅ God is calling every believer to finish the race faithfully. If today's message encouraged you, we'd love to hear from you. Don't Quit: Keep Doing Good Even When It's Hard

We all know what it feels like to want to quit. Whether it's a difficult relationship, a commitment we've grown tired of, or simply doing the right thing without seeing results, discouragement has a way of convincing us to throw in the towel. In this message from 2 Thessalonians 3, Pastor Justin reminds us that faithfulness isn't measured by quick results but by consistent obedience. The Thessalonian believers had become confused about Christ's return. Believing they had somehow missed it, many stopped working, neglected their responsibilities, and became distracted by everyone else's lives. Paul responds with one of the simplest—and most challenging—commands in Scripture: "Never tire of doing what is good." This sermon explores why good people grow weary, how discouragement can pull us away from our God-given purpose, and why every believer has a part to play in the body of Christ. Through a powerful personal story about rediscovering a love for fishing after the loss of his father, Pastor Justin reminds us that while boxing has a point where the fight is over, God's grace always allows us to begin again. If you've been tempted to quit serving, quit praying, quit forgiving, or quit believing, this message is an encouraging reminder that God isn't finished with you. Pick the towel back up. The fight isn't over. ✨ Keynotes to Reflect With ✅ Never tire of doing what is good. ✅ Don't quit doing your part. ✅ Discouragement often causes us to quit the very things that matter most. ✅ Faithfulness is about consistency, not immediate results. ✅ When we stop carrying our responsibilities, someone else must carry the burden. Ready or Not, Jesus Is Coming Back

Jesus promised that He is coming back, but Scripture makes one thing clear: we don't know exactly when. In this message, Pastor Justin Larkin uses the familiar game of hide and seek to explore what it means to live ready for Christ's return. Paul reminds us that while the date is unknown, the return is certain. Rather than trying to predict the day or hour, Christians are called to stay spiritually awake, clear-minded, and prepared. That means refusing to sleep through the opportunities God gives us to love, forgive, serve, share our faith, and live out the calling He has given us. As we wait for Jesus, we're called to put on faith, love, and hope—and to help others wake up and live ready too. The question isn't simply "When is Jesus coming back?" The better question is "Am I ready?" ✨ Keynotes to Reflect With ✅ We don't know when Jesus is coming, but we know He is coming. ✅ Don’t sleep through the life God gave you. ✅ Live ready, not worried. ✅ Put on faith, love, and hope. ✅ Your life matters. Your choices matter. The people around you matter.
