    Who Freed Speech. #olgaforeign#whoyellingnow?

WHO YELLING NOW? — S7 EP02WHO FREED SPEECH? We call it free speech. But who imprisoned it? Who freed it? And if speech is truly free, why can speaking cost so damn much? In Episode 2 of Who Yelling Now? — Let’s Create Controversy, Olga Foreign™ explores the distance between having the legal right to speak and actually feeling free to use your voice. A job can hold your tongue. So can poverty. Family. Culture. Fear. Belonging. Retaliation. Even love can make us calculate the price of a sentence before we say it. And silence has a price too. Through poetry, the fictional story “The Price of Silence,” and a candid conversation with guest Ama K. Karikari, Esq., this episode asks what happens when the ability to speak is distributed unequally—and whether silencing some people eventually costs all of society. Ama K. Karikari, Esq. is an author, speaker, and transformational guide who helps mothers understand emotional harm, rebuild self-trust, and move forward with clarity. She is the author of Silenced to Soaring, an empowerment workbook created to help women understand patterns including the silent treatment and emotional withdrawal. Ama also leads Soaring Sisters, a Skool community offering weekly support, accountability, and mastermind sessions for women healing and working toward stronger personal and professional lives for themselves and their children. She holds degrees from Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and Wharton, and is the founder of Milestales Project Staffing. Together, Olga and Ama explore some uncomfortable questions: Can speech really be free when people pay different prices for using it? When does choosing silence become learned silence? Does wealth make the consequences of speaking easier to survive? Can belonging become its own form of censorship? And perhaps most uncomfortable of all—when nobody is physically stopping us from speaking, what still holds our tongues? Because maybe speech isn't simply about whether someone gives us permission to speak. Maybe it's also about what it costs us when we do—and what it costs everyone when we don't. Guest: Ama K. Amen Corporation. #olgaforeign#whoyellingnow?

WHO YELLING NOW? — SEASON 7, EPISODE 01AMEN INCORPORATEDSeason 7: Let’s Create Controversy Welcome to the annual meeting of Amen Incorporated. Twenty years ago, Amen began with twelve people, folding chairs, a borrowed keyboard, and a desire to serve its community. Today? There are buildings. Employees. Volunteers. Property. Executive compensation. Marketing. Membership growth. Attrition. Youth programs. Community outreach. Competition. Revenue projections. Five-year targets. And, of course, faith. Olga Foreign™ was invited to open the meeting with a poem. She probably should have left afterward. Instead, she saw coffee. So she stayed. What follows is an ordinary corporate meeting about an organization doing what organizations do: raising money, paying employees, maintaining property, attracting new members, retaining existing ones, serving its community, protecting its reputation, planning for growth—and making sure the doors remain open. Nothing illegal happens. Nobody confesses to stealing anything. Nobody runs out of the room carrying a bag of money. Which creates a much more uncomfortable question: Why does ordinary business language suddenly sound so different when the business is faith? When does outreach become marketing? When does evangelism become customer acquisition? When does giving become recurring revenue? When does a congregation become a market? And if an organization depends upon your spiritual belief to receive your financial support... how much do you know about the organization you financially support because of what you spiritually believe? I came to give them a poem. I stayed for the meeting. I left with questions. And apparently...a slight limp. Welcome to Season 7. What Are We Becoming. #Olgaforeign #WhoYellingnow?

WHO YELLING NOW? — Season 6, Episode 12 WHAT ARE WE BECOMING? — Season FinaleThe Last Ordinary Day What if history doesn't repeat itself? What if humanity repeats humanity? In the Season 6 finale of Who Yelling Now?, Olga Foreign™ follows two women named Mara, separated by five hundred years, through two remarkably ordinary days. One hears a rumor in a crowded marketplace. The other watches a viral video on her phone. One watches a man condemned by a crowd. The other watches a woman destroyed online. Both know something the crowd doesn't know. Both have an opportunity to speak. And both go home. Different centuries. Different technology. Different societies. Same humanity. After an entire season asking What Are We Becoming?, this finale turns the question around. Perhaps we're not simply becoming our forefathers. Perhaps we're doing something much more consequential: We are becoming someone else's forefathers. We are becoming ancestors. Through poetry, storytelling, humor, and reflection, Olga asks us to consider the ordinary choices that rarely feel important enough to become history—the things we repeat, tolerate, witness, ignore, and practice every day. Because becoming may not happen in one dramatic moment. It may happen quietly. One breath. One choice. One silence. One ordinary day. And someday, people who haven't even been born yet may look back at us and ask: How could they have known... and still gone home? 🎙️ Who Yelling Now? with Olga Foreign™Season 6 Finale — What Are We Becoming? #WhoYellingNow #OlgaForeign #WhatAreWeBecoming #TheLastOrdinaryDay #Season6Finale #WeAreBecomingAncestors #Humanity #HumanNature #History #Society #Technology #Algorithms #SocialMedia #SpokenWord #Poetry #Storytelling #Podcast #PodcastFinale #CulturalCommentary #HumanBehavior

Loud Before You Speak. #whoyellingnow? #Olgaforeign#LoudBeforeYouSpeak

Episode 11 Description — Loud Before You Speak What if the loudest person in the room never raises their voice? In Episode 11 of Who Yelling Now?, Olga Foreign™ challenges the idea that loudness is sound. A woman walks silently beside a powerful man, yet her beauty, education, clothing and presence announce his importance before he says a word. A CEO appears to command 73,000 employees with a single sentence—“I’ve decided.” But how many analysts, advisers, executives, family members and unseen voices were inside that sentence before it became his? And then there is the power vampire—the person who recognizes the value of your idea while you’re still calling it “probably nothing.” Through two original poems, “The Most Important Accessory” and “I’ll Take It,” and the story “The Two Empty Chairs,” Olga explores how power is projected, borrowed, accumulated, surrendered and amplified. Because maybe loud isn’t how much sound you make. Maybe loud is how much of yourself you can make the world notice, carry, repeat, obey—or surrender to someone else. So before you speak, ask yourself: What has already spoken for you?
