Newly born, impossibly calm, and speaking straight into their minds, a six-armed “brother” steps out of the dark and starts rewriting the power dynamic with a snap of its fingers. While Tessa and Ryan try to turn fear into diplomacy, Rico does what Rico does and declares the thing family, which might be the most dangerous move of all.
