The old conquerors needed horses, supply lines, and somebody willing to carry a flag uphill while people shot at him. Trump has a different approach: Why invade your country when I can make your government explain why it’s broke? Welcome to The Kevin Jackson Show. I’ve been thinking about Trump and the great conquerors of history. Because we’re watching a president whose influence extends well beyond America’s borders—and beyond the atmosphere. The old model was to conquer territory. Trump’s model is to change the calculation. What does it cost to threaten America? What does it cost to fund terrorists? What does it cost to keep telling your citizens that poverty is patriotic while your officials live like royalty? Suddenly, those questions have price tags. And look at Latin America. That’s the problem with persecuting a movement’s leader: You may teach people that everything he said about you was true. We’ll discuss that today. But first, look up. Russia and China are working on a rival to Starlink. America already has the network they’re trying to match. Elon built it. Trump understands the power of having it. That’s a very different kind of American dominance. You don’t have to plant a flag in somebody’s capital when American technology is becoming part of the infrastructure over their heads. Caesar conquered Gaul. Alexander conquered Persia. America put the connection in the sky. And Russia’s response? Medvedev starts talking about space warfare and threatening Starlink satellites. You’re threatening to knock down the thing you’re still trying to duplicate. That’s not a technology strategy. That’s a jealous neighbor looking at your swimming pool and pricing bolt cutters. Remember the headline we discussed: Putin threatening a “full-scale space war”? The headline gives you the terror. The underlying story gives you the insecurity. America has something they want. They’re trying to catch up. And while they’re catching up, they want us to be frightened of how angry they are about catching up. I’ve seen this before. It’s called losing with an explanation. Now, none of this means military force has disappeared. It means American power has more instruments than an invasion followed by twenty years of nation-building. Technology. Trade. Fired There is already one casualty. Ready for the shock: it’s a white man. The prosecutor who dropped the case was fired, I heard. The prosecutor is Matthew Van Houten, the elected Tompkins County district attorney. On October 1, 2026, Governor Kathy Hochul appointed Attorney General Letitia James as special prosecutor, taking the Cornell investigation out of his hands.Van Houten had already announced that he was reopening the investigation following renewed attention and the woman’s civil lawsuit. Hochul nevertheless said the handling of the original investigation had undermined confidence in his office. ABC NewsThe criticism involves substantive investigative questions: whether prosecutors received and reviewed the woman’s complete statement, obtained relevant evidence, and interviewed her. Van Houten says Cornell did not provide his office with the full picture. Basically, a normal week in a country that desperately needs adult supervision. Remember when everybody had a firm position on believing women? Let’s see whether those positions survive contact with the names, the institution, and the political affiliations. There will be enough institutional concern to fill a university brochure. My question is: will there be a consistent standard? What happened? What does the evidence establish? Who did their job? Who protected whom? Those questions deserve answers before the public relations department graduates with honors. I watch people cheering. The media watches the same thing and diagnoses a national emergency. Their coverage comes with subtitles only they can see: “USA! Somewhere, a pot of gold just filed a Freedom of Information request.     Rarest Animal in the World - Weekend Recap 10-04-26

    You think Sasquatch is hard to find, I have something even more rare. A Democrat or Leftist who will tell the truth. Ask one if they voted for Biden, and they get angry. Ask them any question related to their stance on an issue, and you’d better be wearing a spit guard. They get incensed over the smallest things. THEN, look at how they live! It’s hardly related to their politics. Sure a few young hipsters may live on the periphery of a Black neighborhood in hopes of gentrifying it, and taming the “natives”. But few will live IN it.   Rare animals. Contradictions. Far more live in protected communities, where they can harass real Americans for having Old Glory flying, or some homage to Trump or political sanity.     Culture Clash Revisited - Weekend Recap 10-03-26

    In this weekend recap we revisit the culture clash happening in America. And it's not new. Sometimes it’s a politician who runs as one thing and gets caught describing an entirely different set of priorities. Sometimes it’s a religious figure who takes two thousand years of Christianity and treats it like a group project with no adult supervision. And sometimes it’s a bar discovering that its customers, its principles, and its electric bill have entered a three-way custody battle. That’s our show. I’m going to give you the examples. I’ll tell you what I think they show, because these are my opinions and this is my microphone. You can make your own judgment. If you arrive somewhere else, that’s fine. At least we’ll both be looking at what happened instead of a slogan somebody paid to put in our feeds. I believe good news for Democrats has become increasingly difficult to find unless it’s manufactured, purchased, or given an elaborate public-relations makeover. And when something happens organically? Caligula would ask people to settle down. A pope might ask for an early checkout. Now, I know what happens whenever I say something like that. Somebody waits for the most horrifying story in the stack, then says, “Kevin, one criminal doesn’t represent an entire political movement.” Agreed. A violent crime is a violent crime. The victim is a person, not a prop, and the accused gets the presumption of innocence. What interests me is how quickly public debate tries to turn every story into a loyalty test: which details are you permitted to notice, which questions are you allowed to ask, and when are you ordered to stop? We’ll deal with one disturbing allegation briefly, then leave it where it belongs: with investigators and the courts. After that, we’ll spend time on people who chose to speak publicly, chose to seek office, or chose a policy for their own business. And first, before anybody thinks the UN has escaped: A report circulated with a horrifying allegation involving a 31-year-old transgender woman and her stepfather.     There are some headlines that truly make me laugh. Here’s one: IB Times: Donald Trump reportedly ‘twitching in anger’ while calling undocumented migrants, “the worst people”. In case you missed it, the US left Iraq. And no Marines were harmed in the exit strategy.   The State Department has revoked more than 250,000 visas since President Donald Trump took office, as the administration continues to crack down on unlawful immigration and increase vetting of who is allowed to visit the United States. When have you ever heard of this happening, except under Trump. The fact that we haven’t should trouble you. The revocations were for a variety of violations, including visa holders who violated the terms of their visas, committed crimes, called for violence against the U.S. or Americans, defrauded Americans, abused the immigration system, and endangered national security, a State Department official told Fox News Digital. Among the visas revoked were 2,300 in connection with birth tourism, the practice of pregnant foreign nationals traveling to the U.S. specifically to give birth so their child automatically receives citizenship.
