The Battle No One Could See

In this episode of the Grace, Grit, Glory Show, we sit down with 17-year-old author and entrepreneur Macie to talk about her journey from anxiety, perfectionism, and an eating disorder to freedom and healing in Christ. Macie opens up about growing up in a Christian home, accepting Jesus at age six, and the hidden battle with anxiety, people-pleasing, and body image that followed her into her teenage years. She shares candidly about developing anorexia at 15, losing her period, and the painful cycle of trying to earn love and control through perfection and how God met her in the shower on her 16th birthday with a simple message: "You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to earn love."    We talk about: -Breaking free from the lies "I'm not enough," "I'm too much," and "no one likes me" - How anxiety and disordered eating are often rooted in a need for control - What it means to surrender and submit to God instead of striving - Macie's physical healing journey and answered prayer - Walking in truth, holiness, and identity in Christ - Writing her first book at 16 (Revealing Your Greatness) while overcoming a childhood reading struggle If you or someone you know is struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, body image, or disordered eating, this conversation is a powerful reminder that the enemy is not coming for you... Fifty & Friendless Table for One Please with Jen Morgan

In this episode of the Grace Grit Glory show, host Jennifer Weiss welcomes Jen Morgan, wife, mother of three, grief coach, and founder of Jen Morgan Inspires, for an unfiltered conversation about faith, loss, and the long road to healing. Jen shares her story of growing up as the youngest of nine children, losing her oldest brother at age eight, and surviving childhood sexual abuse in silence behind a mask of humor and confidence. She opens up about the tragic loss of three siblings, the friend she lost too soon, and the years she spent numbing her pain with alcohol and prescription medication before finding a real relationship with Jesus. Together, Jen and Jennifer discuss what grief actually looks like when there's no checklist to follow, how to give yourself permission to rest, and why leaning on someone you trust can pull you out of even the deepest pit. Jen also gets candid about 32 years of marriage, including the moments divorce felt like the only option, and how she and her husband chose to fight for their relationship instead. The conversation closes with a look at friendship loss and self-worth, inspired by Jen's books Fifty & Friendless and Table for One Please, along with a heartfelt prayer for anyone listening who is grieving a loss of their own. This episode is a reminder that healing isn't linear, but grace, grit, and glory are available every step of the way.
