    What If the Universe Is Inside a Black Hole?

    In April 2019, the Event Horizon Telescope released the first horizon-scale image of M87*, revealing a bright ring of radio emission around a dark central shadow. The result gave scientists powerful new evidence that black holes exist as general relativity predicts. But every photon used to reconstruct that image came from outside the boundary that defines a black hole. The interior remained inaccessible. Still, mathematical possibility is not observational confirmation.
