    Why Church – Week 1 – The Ekklesia

    This week we begin our new series called Why Church, and in week one we look at the ekklesia. Starting in Matthew 16:18 and Acts 2:42-47, we unpack what Jesus actually meant when he said he would build his church, a Greek word that pointed to a people gathered around a shared purpose, not a building or a Sunday service. Together, we explore what that looked like for the early believers in Acts 2, who were marked first by devotion, a settled commitment that shaped how they organized their entire lives. Through the example of families who pour thousands of dollars and countless hours into competitive sports without blinking, we see how devotion always has a cost, and we are challenged to ask what has ours. We also preview the seven rhythms this series will walk through: the word, community, serving, generosity, reaching, worship, and prayer. In the end it comes down to one question. Are we attending the church, or are we becoming the church?

    The Holy Spirit – Week 8 – Keep The Fire Burning

    In the final week of our Holy Spirit series, Pastor Creg shares from Leviticus 6 and the command God gave the priests: “The fire must be kept burning; it must not go out.” The same challenge speaks to us today. We can’t manufacture the fire of God, but we can tend what He has started through prayer, worship, obedience, surrender, and a daily pursuit of His presence.

    The Holy Spirit – Week 7 – Knowing the Voice of the Shepherd

    This week in our Holy Spirit series, we explore what it means to know the voice of the Shepherd. Starting in John 10:1-5, we look at how sheep recognize and follow their shepherd's voice because of deep, lived familiarity, not just distant knowledge. From there, we unpack four ways God speaks to His people today: through relationship, through the desires He places in our hearts, through confirmation from trusted voices around us, and through open doors He alone can open. Along the way, we hear personal stories, from a shepherd's careful call to his flock, to a decades old vision cast on a trip home from California that God brought full circle years later. We also look at Scripture in Psalm 37, James 3, 2 Corinthians 13, and Revelation 3 to see how these principles hold together. The heart of it all comes back to intimacy with God rather than a formula for hearing Him. Because the real wonder was never that the sheep know the Shepherd. It's that the Shepherd already knows the sheep, and He is calling us to walk with Him before He tells us where we're going.

    The Holy Spirit - Week 6 - Hearing God in the Silence

    Have you ever prayed and felt like heaven was quiet? Like God wasn't answering, wasn't moving, or simply wasn't there? In this message, Pastor Creg explores one of the most difficult seasons of the Christian life: the silence of God. Through Scripture, you'll discover that God's silence is never His absence. Often, the greatest work He does in us happens during the moments when we can't hear Him clearly. If you've been waiting for direction, praying for an answer, or wondering if God has forgotten you, this message will encourage you to trust His character, remain faithful, and position yourself to hear His voice. Silence isn't the end of the conversation. It may be the very place where God is preparing you for what comes next.

    The Holy Spirit - Week 5 - Speaking in Tongues

    This week in our Holy Spirit series, we open up one of the most avoided conversations in the church: speaking in tongues. In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul reminds us that every gift comes from the same Spirit, serves the same Lord, and exists for the benefit of the whole body. Together, we walk through what Scripture actually says about tongues, how they function in three distinct settings, and why love must always be the foundation from which every gift operates. Through a careful look at 1 Corinthians 12, 13, and 14, we discover that Paul never asks us to choose between character and power, between the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. A bad experience does not get the final word and fear should never keep us from receiving everything God desires to give. The gift may get someone's attention, but the fruit shows them what Jesus is like. Do not pursue an experience more than you pursue Jesus, but do not let fear keep you from receiving everything Jesus has for you.

    The Holy Spirit - Week 4 - A Fresh Wind from Elsewhere

    This week in our Holy Spirit series, we look at what it truly means to receive a fresh wind from elsewhere. In Acts 2, the disciples gathered in the upper room and experienced something no amount of human effort could manufacture, the wind of the Holy Spirit falling and changing everything in an instant. Together, we explore why discipline alone cannot clear the smog of life, what it means to raise our sails in faith before the wind arrives, and how the same breath of God that brought Adam to life and filled a valley of dry bones is still moving today. Through the story of Hudson Taylor on a becalmed ship, the vision of Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones, and a personal encounter with God in a hospital room in Savannah, we discover that revival does not come from trying harder. It comes from creating space and positioning ourselves to receive what only the Holy Spirit can do. The wind is not something we produce. It is something we prepare to receive.

    The Holy Spirit - Week 3

    In Week 3 of our Holy Spirit series, we explore what the Bible teaches about the gifts of the Spirit and why they were given. Discover the difference between grace gifts, ministry gifts, and manifestation gifts, and learn how each one works together to strengthen the Church and advance God’s Kingdom. Most importantly, you’ll be challenged to stop asking, “What is my gift?” and start asking, “Holy Spirit, how do You want to use me today?” God didn’t give you spiritual gifts to admire them. He gave them so others could experience Jesus through your life.

    The Holy Spirit - Week 2

    This week in our Holy Spirit series, we explore what it truly means to abide in Christ. In John 15, Jesus paints the picture of the vine and the branches, reminding us that fruit is never produced through effort but through connection. Together, we unpack what abiding actually looks like, why dependence is the goal rather than production, and how proximity to Jesus is not the same as connection to Him. Through the story of Mary and Martha, the simple example of Enoch walking with God, and the everyday picture of a phone needing constant power, we discover that the Spirit filled life is not about trying harder. It is about staying connected. The goal was never the fruit. The goal has always been the Vine.
