I'm Gambling With his Future - Ep 28

Today's guest is Scherrie Prince, a U.S. attorney who helps entrepreneurs build a secure foundation by merging their business plans with their estate plans. As a single mother who went to law school with two young kids and built her own practice from the ground up, Scherrie knows firsthand the intense pressures of balancing business and family. She takes us back to a daytime soccer field 12 years ago, where she sat in the stands trying to cheer on her young son while her phone buzzed with potential client calls. We question the heavy belief she carried in that moment: "I'm gambling with my child's future." Scherrie describes the tension between securing her family’s financial survival and providing emotional presence, and as she questions this thought she gets to a place of peace and clarity. The technique of self inquiry that I, your host Sarah Climenhaga, practice with my guests uses questions based on The Work of Byron Katie. You can learn more about this powerful method at thework.com. To connect with Cheri, find her on LinkedIn at @Scherriespeaks This is the final episode of Your Thoughts at Work. I am exploring new frontiers of my own mind using The Work as well as some research into neuroscience and evolutionary biology. The mind is a fascinating place and the more we understand it, the easier our journey through life becomes! If you would like to keep up with what I am doing next, please reach out to me.
