Good bye, good bye Be always kind and true We'll pick you up next summer Bring your life vest, too Good bye, good bye Be always kind and true We may not be on time The sharks may bother you Good bye, good bye Be always kind and true 🦈 Return to Civilian Life Following the end of World War II in 1945, Reedy was discharged from military service along with millions of other American servicemen during the postwar demobilization. Like many returning veterans, he likely transitioned back into civilian life after several years of intense wartime service overseas. Although detailed records of his later life remain limited, his wartime career illustrates the experience of many Army Air Corps officers from small American communities who served in distant theaters and contributed to the Allied victory in World War II. *SEE YOU NEXT TIME* $DICKDOESDALLAS SEASON FOUR presents DAVIDSON: the gospel according to Benjamin Howell by Ben Michael Koresh JUNE 2026 DIAMOND JIM is an adventure in SAD co - special thanks to the Cyborg You are under surveillance // I am under surveillance CTHULHU honoring; BEN centered RADIO

He also received the Southwest Pacific Campaign Medal with three campaign stars, which indicates participation in three recognized campaigns in that theater. These decorations suggest that Reedy completed numerous operational missions and contributed significantly to aerial combat or support operations during the Pacific War. Featuring CTHULHU as YOU and ME as U.R. HOST. Three tragedies. 💣 Operations in the Netherlands East Indies Reedy also participated in operations connected to the Netherlands East Indies, the region now known largely as Indonesia. This area was strategically important because it contained vital oil resources that had been seized by Japan early in the war. Allied air operations targeted Japanese supply lines, airfields, and naval installations throughout the archipelago. Participation in campaigns in both New Guinea and the Netherlands East Indies indicates that Reedy’s unit was involved in the broader Allied push westward across the Pacific. HELP / SABOTAGE / REVOLUTION

Do not judge a book by its cover - or a loaf of bread for that matter. I have a broken guitar string and a story filled with more bombs than you might like to imagine. World War Two in the Pacific Theater means having to get creative with your allies, your whiskey smuggling, and your strategy for avoiding getting eaten by a crocodile. 😱🤮 Campaigns in New Guinea One of the areas in which Reedy served was New Guinea, a central battleground of the Pacific War. Allied air units operating there conducted bombing raids against Japanese bases, provided close air support to ground troops fighting in dense jungle terrain, and transported supplies to remote forward airfields. The New Guinea campaign was critical to the Allied strategy of “island hopping,” which aimed to isolate major Japanese strongholds while advancing toward the Philippines and the Japanese home islands. Diamond Jim sweats it out, goes for a swim, sleeps in, and takes a seven day vacation to Sydney. 🫖☕️ Deployment to the Southwest Pacific Reedy was eventually assigned to the Southwest Pacific Area, one of the major Allied theaters of operations in World War II. This region included vast stretches of the Pacific and Southeast Asia and was commanded by Douglas MacArthur. Air operations in this theater were essential to supporting ground forces, protecting shipping routes, and weakening Japanese positions across island chains and coastal regions. Service in the Southwest Pacific placed Reedy in a demanding operational environment characterized by long-distance flights, tropical conditions, and intense combat activity. AUSTRALIA / IS THAT A SLUR / 500 LB

I will not make an argument that it was a different time - I will say, if you caught the slurs and missed the 500 lb bomb he dropped... listen again. RIP EUGENE. 🎖️Commission and Rank During his service Reedy achieved the rank of First Lieutenant, a junior officer rank commonly held by operational pilots, navigators, bombardiers, and other commissioned aircrew members in the Army Air Corps. Officers at this level often served as aircraft commanders or key mission specialists on multi-crew aircraft. Reaching this rank suggests that Reedy completed advanced training and gained sufficient operational experience to assume leadership responsibilities within his unit during wartime operations. LITTLE SISTER // I AM NOT JOKING

Was it a joke or did you bring a knife to a gunfight? Join U.R. HOST and LITTLE SISTER as they revisit their great-grandfather's story, told his way. 📚 Initial Military Training Reedy underwent training at several military installations, including facilities in Laurel, Mississippi, and at Camp Bowie. Camp Bowie was one of the major training centers used during the war to prepare soldiers and officers for overseas deployment. Training for Army Air Corps personnel typically included both ground instruction and operational preparation related to flight operations, navigation, bombardment procedures, or other aircrew duties. Although surviving records do not specify Reedy’s exact specialty, his later decorations indicate that he participated directly in operational aerial missions.
