When the Mother of Waters Rises Up in Fire: Betrayal Birthing Blessings, Embodied Volcano Wisdom, and Intergenerational Healing with Rachel Chase

Some connections arrive like soft thunder. Quiet at first. But unmistakable. This is how it felt when Rachel Chase and I sat down to speak — as if something older than both of us had arranged the meeting. A subtle pull from the land itself. A whisper from the ancestors who survived the very systems that once tried to silence us. We came together through a shared language of healing:Creative liberation, deinstitutalized healing, hummingbirds, volcanoes, Josephine Baker, intuition, lineage, the power of dance, and the long work of returning home to the body after years inside high-control spaces. And as we talked, I felt the unmistakable hum of synchronicity — the kind that only appears when the soul is listening and guiding the non-linear path forward. 🌿 Rachel’s Story: Fire Remembered Rachel’s journey is a testament to what happens when someone chooses life again and again. A survivor of childhood cult conditioning, spiritual abuse, and relational trauma, she walked a path many of us know too well: silence, self-protection, creative suppression, and the longing for something more whole than the frameworks we were raised inside. Her healing moved through: • art• reiki and energy work• yoga and meditation• ancestral remembering• and deep inner resilience You can explore her powerful community work and path here: 🌿 Her website: https://rachelchase.com/index.html 🌿 Hummingbird Medicine Wisdom School: (powerful live ritual live gatherings, workshops, and courses for only $33/m https://rachelchasellc.mvsite.app/products/courses/view/1180284 🌿 Her contribution to the Anthology Unbreakable Spirit: 18 Stories of Feminine Resilience, Blessings and Renewal https://www.amazon.com/dp/1733392394/ref=cm_sw_r_ffobk_cso_cp_mwn_dp_YJNMKJPP272VA5JRHEKT In our conversation, we also touched on the history of patriarchal psychology — including the ways Freud’s early theories were weaponized to dismiss women’s experiences of harm. This video offers important context:🔥 It matters because these patterns live on.They shape our nervous systems. They shape our sense of worth. They shape the very stories we are trying to rewrite. They show us how truth builds slowly beneath the surface —how pressure becomes power, how destruction becomes renewal, how fire held long enough becomes land. When Rachel spoke about her healing, I could feel our stories reverberate through each other like seismic echoes. Two women rising from systems that tried to shrink us —two artists returning to their own voices —two spirits guided by ancestral fire. The synchronicity was unmistakable:we had both been receiving dreams, symbols, and intuitive nudges tied to volcanic energy. And the land that connected us both? Mount Tahoma.A grandmother mountain.A keeper of memory.A witness to generations of suppression, resilience, and rebirth. It felt clear:we weren’t just having a conversation. We were answering a call. 🌱 A Shared Vision Emerging Toward the end of our conversation, I saw an image —a circle of women, creators, and lineage-bearers gathered at the base of the mountain, held by her quiet, volcanic wisdom. Rachel felt it too. A pilgrimage.A remembering.A return. Not someday far away —but a seed already rooted underground. A gathering for those reclaiming themselves after high-control religion, patriarchal conditioning, or institutional harm.A place where art, spirit, and ancestry can breathe again.A place where our great-grandmothers’ stories become guides rather than wounds. 🕊 You’re Invited Into the Field of This Work If something stirred in you as you read this —that quiet inner fire, that ancestral hum, that soft volcanic yes —you’re welcome to step closer. 🌿 Join Rachel’s Hummingbird Medicine Wisdom SchoolPathways of liberation, creation, and soul embodiment.https://rachelchasellc.mvsite.app/products/courses/view/1180284 🌿 Join my Rewilding the Mythic Self CommunityA free sanctuary for ritual, art, ancestral remembering, and creative sovereignty.https://www.skool.com/rewilding-the-mythic-self-7206/about Two ecosystems. Two lineages of fire. One shared devotion:intergenerational liberation through creativity, intuition, and the mythic remembering of who we’ve always been. Composting Old Stories: Breaking Free from Scripted Lives with Dr. Tamea Ryan

Hello Sacred Circle, Here, in this sanctuary for mythic remembering and rewilded soulwork, I invite you to gather by the campfire—crackling with old stories and new possibilities—for our latest episode of Rewilding the Mythic Self: A Podcast for Soul-Led Leadership Beyond Systems of Silence. This week, I nestled in conversation with Dr. Tamea Ryan—a luminous weaver of story transformation and ancestral reclamation, and a kindred spirit on the path from clinical practice to soul-rooted narrative coaching. With over 20 years tending people through the thorny underbrush of inherited stories and institutional expectations, Tamea brings her medicine: an artful, action-guided invitation to leave behind borrowed scripts and claim the sovereignty of our own folklore. Some threads from our ritual dialogue: 🌱 Story as Compost and CatalystTamea spoke of inherited “bags” we each carry—stuffed with beliefs, roles, and family mythologies—often sewn shut before we were old enough to question whose burdens we were carrying. She asks: When was the last time you sifted through your bag, holding each story up to the light, and asked, “Does this still fit me?”What do you tenderly keep? What needs releasing into the fertile soil of your next becoming? 🌋 Eruptions of Change, One Small ShiftThere is no single heroic leap required to unravel old narratives.Tamea reminds us that embodied transformation begins with “one small change,” a simple refusal to let another’s voice replace your own inner compass.“As soon as I started allowing myself even the permission to change my story, I felt something lift,” she shares. Can you feel the permission in your bones to step off the prescribed path, even by a breath, even by a word? 🕸️ Ancestral Wisdom, Visibility as DevotionWe wove together the power of media, collective trauma, and remembered practices—from singing old songs with clients to reviving folk wisdom, tarot, and quilted mythologies. This is not about self-improvement.It is about self-remembrance—unlearning what is not yours, and letting your visibility become sacred devotion. ✨ A Listening, Not a LectureWe did not offer blueprints; instead, we invited the question: Who might you become if you saw your story as living myth, open to revision, reclamation, and wild grace? If your spirit is craving a space where “healing isn’t found in systems—it’s found in remembrance,” I invite you to listen in. Let Tamea’s story and our shared questions be compost for your own mythic reclamation. 🌒 What is one piece you’re ready to let go from your ancestral bag this season? 🌔 What new root or ritual wishes to grow in its place? With you in the spiral, JosieHost, Rewilding the Mythic Self P.S. Dr. Tamea’s community for intentional narrative work is now open for gentle registration. Her workbooks and offerings—all crafted for emergent, creative misfits and heart-led healers—await you (see links in episode notes). P.P.S. If you’re moved by this conversation, pen a reply. Reclaiming Power Through Art, Ancestry, and Intuition with Josephine Patricia Soul Rewilding Coach

💫 What if your story was a wild garden—untamed, sovereign, quietly luminous beneath all that was once trimmed or silenced? This week, I introduced myself to the PsyChicks community on Rewilding the Mythic Self, offering a soft hand to those who feel too much, too sensitive, too creative for systems built in someone else's image. I shared my journey as a soul rewilding coach—how 16 schools, three states, and a decade in the high-pressure fields of academia and healthcare taught me to shape-shift, to quiet my brilliance, to exile my intuition. Like the Little Mermaid, I gave up my voice for safety—until ancestral practices, intuitive arts, and folk mysticism called me back home to myself. Here are three seeds I offer for your own rewilding: 🌱 Institutions—whether school, workplace, or even family—often demand we trade magic for belonging. The work is not to fit tighter, but to weave new folklore where your wildness has room to breathe. 🌿 Neurodivergence, sensitivity, and creative misfit wisdom are not flaws but ancient compasses. When we listen, we remember: our power was never meant to be contained. 🌾 True reclamation is not found in hustle or hierarchy, but in collective ritual, trauma-informed artistry, and ancestral connection—a spiral path where healing and leadership walk hand in hand. To the cycle-breakers, intuitive misfits, and sacred refusers: You are not too much. You are remembering your magnitude. If you’ve ever felt exiled from your own voice or creativity by systems that could not see you, gather at this digital campfire. Let’s compost old stories and co-create new mythic roots—in art, ancestry, and soul-led intuition. ✨ Ready to reconnect? The fire is still lit. Drop a note, claim your place, or simply pause and breathe in your own enoughness. #SoulRewilding #MythicLeadership #AncestralWisdom #NeurodivergentVoices #TraumaInformed #CycleBreakers #CreativeMisfits #IntuitiveLeadership Learn more about my current offerings here: Want to join the first monthly Art, Ancestry & Alchemy Circle? Multi-Passionate Magic: Lise Cartwright’s Living Model for Reclaiming Ease and Joy in Business with Embodied Human Design

Welcome, wild ones, to another soul-lit gathering at Rewilding the Mythic Self. In this episode, we light the hearth for a tender, radical conversation with Lise Cartwright—creative strategist, multi-passionate author, and sacred permission-giver for those hungry to rewrite the stories business has told them about who they’re allowed to be. When she’s not channeling her inner Lorelai Gilmore, Lise Cartwright is the creative strategist behind Hustle & Groove. With 40+ bestselling books written, she helps multi-passionate entrepreneurs ditch the 'should-do' marketing rules and create strategies that feel good (and work). Because you get to do you in your business. She is launching an upcoming summit on online business building that focuses on strategies beyond social media going live on September 15th 2025. Together, we spiral through the mist of institutional conditioning—exploring how we reclaim our creative voice, our entrepreneurial fluency, and most of all, our daily joy. Lise shares her lived devotion to “easy and fun”—not as bypass, but as deep sacred refusal of systems built on productivity and conformity. The medicine here is palpable: “If it’s not easy and fun, what is the point?” She is offering us a free human design chart for business here: We wander through ancestral patterns, human design, and the sticky belief that our worth is earned by following rules set centuries before our birth. We talk about breaking up with social media, the gentle rebellion of telling stories in your own voice, and the healing that comes when we remember that the body knows the truth, even when the world disagrees. This episode is a soft portal for all the creative misfits, recovering high-achievers, and soul-led leaders who know they were never meant to walk the straight line. As you listen, I invite you to let Lise’s laughter, clarity, and poetic practicality compost what isn’t yours and remember: your way is the only way that matters. You are not behind. You are on mythic timing. Easy and fun aren’t selfish—they’re ancestral. Light a candle. Pour yourself a cup of courage. This circle is for you. Embracing Spiritual Multiplicity: Healing Scarcity, Reclaiming Gifts, and Writing New Mythologies Together with Mystical Whispers Co-Creators Kylee Anderson and Jamie Arias

In the latest episode of Rewilding the Mythic Self, I sat down with friends and fellow wayfinders Kylee Anderson and Jamie Arias to explore a topic that often hides in the shadows of spiritual spaces:How do we create inclusive, safe, and non-hierarchical spiritual communities? For all three of us, this question isn’t theoretical—it’s personal. We’ve each navigated the collision between our spiritual gifts and the institutional systems that tried to contain them—whether in schools, religious traditions, tech employers, or high-control spiritual groups. Those experiences left us with one clear truth: spiritual freedom thrives when it’s rooted in self-trust and supported by diverse perspectives, not centralized authority. Here’s what we explored together: 🌱 The power of diverse teachers – why no one person or program should be your sole spiritual authority.🛡 Red and green flags when seeking spiritual mentorship, and how to recognize when an environment starts to feel unsafe.🌀 Deinstitutionalizing spirituality – untangling our faith from harmful power dynamics, people-pleasing patterns, and scarcity thinking.🌊 Returning to your element – whether it’s the ocean, art, or folk practices, finding the places and rituals that awaken your inner guidance.🕊 Safe spaces for the next generation – how to create environments where intuitive and mystical gifts aren’t just tolerated, but celebrated. 🌿 Green Flags — Signs of a Healthy, Supportive Spiritual Space * Teachers who encourage you to trust your own intuition over their authority. * Diverse perspectives and lived experiences represented in leadership. * Open discussion and respectful disagreement are welcomed. * Clear boundaries around consent, privacy, and personal choice. * Financial transparency and fair, non-exploitative/predatory marketing. * Shared leadership and collaborative decision-making. * Resources and empowerment are distributed equitably, without favoritism. * A culture of learning that honors differences and welcomes multiple paths to growth. 🚩 Red Flags — Warning Signs of Unhealthy or Extractive Spiritual Dynamics * One leader is positioned as the sole keeper of spiritual truth or a “one true path” with imbalanced energy exchanges. * Discouraging exploration of other teachers, communities, or traditions. * Using fear, guilt, or shame to enforce participation or compliance. * Pressuring rapid personal disclosure before trust is built. * Lack of equity and transparency in finances; exploitation of staff or volunteers; prioritizing profit over soul-aligned purpose. * Encouraging dependence on the leader or group instead of supporting sovereignty and independence. * Lack of diversity and equitable access to resources or leadership opportunities. * Relational hierarchy, favoritism, or unspoken pecking orders that go unchecked. * Competition, jealousy, or aggression without processes for repair and integration. * Unintegrated shadow dynamics that lead to scapegoating, witch-hunting, or stunting members’ growth beyond the container. Kylee and Jamie also share about Mystical Whispers, their new platform dedicated to helping people deepen relationships, reclaim their spiritual gifts, and connect in safe, empowering ways. Join their free facebook group here! and live launch here! Jamie AriasTech Mystic, Co-Creator of Mystical Whispers Jamie Arias is co-creator of Mystical Whispers and the founder of Hack Happiness, a business that uniquely blends her passions for technology and spirituality. With eight years of teaching experience and a master's degree in secondary education, Jamie spent much of her career guiding middle school students—a role she cherished deeply. Inspired by meaningful connections, like the special bond she formed with Kylie’s daughter, Jamie’s journey took a turn toward healing after experiencing burnout from working for a narcissist. Now, she channels her expertise and personal growth into helping others find happiness and balance. Kylie Anderson (Previous podcast guest: here)Intuitive Guide, Co-Creator of Mystical Whispers Kylie’s intuitive gift revealed itself early—so strong that even as a child she astonished her family with startlingly accurate predictions, once even naming the exact clothing her cousin wore when featured on Australia’s Most Wanted. Though encouraged to wait until she was older to fully explore her abilities, she began reading with ordinary playing cards and quickly discovered the depth of her insight. Her gift became a lifeline during one of the darkest chapters of her life—when a tragic twist of fate led to her wrongful incarceration. Even there, her visions carried hope: she confidently predicted freedom for a woman facing a 40-year sentence, a prophecy that came true. She later used her abilities to help solve a live case, standing as living proof that divine, wild truth can and will set you free. Today, Kylie channels that same clarity and courage into helping others reclaim their own intuitive power. As co-creator of Mystical Whispers, she is devoted to building communities of spiritual freedom and empowerment—spaces where the path to New Earth is charted through liberation, truth, and love. If you’ve ever felt too much, too sensitive, or like you had to hide your intuitive knowing, this conversation is a reminder:You’re not too much—you’re exactly enough. And your gifts deserve the right soil to grow. We ask: What does it mean to reclaim your sacred “no” in a world addicted to your “yes”? How might neurodivergence, ancestral grief, and folk mysticism each form portals—rather than prisons—for your expansion? And what shifts when you remember that rewilding is not a quick fix, but a cyclical, untidy return to your soul’s holy ground? This episode is an invocation—a composting of institutional silence, an invitation to claim your space at the table of New Earth. Here, there is no “too much” and no expiration date on your becoming. So, bring your unraveling, your lineage, your peculiar gifts. Settle in. Let visibility become your devotion. Because together, we are reseeding the world—and the rewilding has only just begun. As she began working with midlife women—while journeying through this life stage herself—Brenda discovered the rich intersections that define women’s lives beyond age: career pivots, building and rebuilding communities, raising families, living abroad, and the evolution of friendships. She recognizes that while younger women crave exploration, midlife brings a pivotal period of reflection, refinement, and committed decision-making, especially around health, relationships, and priorities. Brenda’s work centers on supporting women as they choose what fits them best, encouraging them to put themselves first and question societal expectations about motherhood, career paths, and community roles. She thrives on connecting with women facing these exciting yet complex crossroads and champions the need to unravel outdated norms—especially in business and personal identities. Through her story and her work, Brenda empowers women to redefine fulfillment on their own terms. ✨ 5 Days Until the Aligned AF Summer Camp Summit! ✨ The countdown is on, creative misfits and wild hearts. Institutional frameworks, from rigid school systems to the commodified world of clinical practice, too often encourage a kind of gaslighting: dimming intuitive wisdom in favor of logic, hierarchy, and endless productivity. Sarah and I each navigated this terrain—her as a clinical social worker, myself as an occupational therapist—before stepping outside to honor our fuller, wilder selves. Our stories echo a common longing:To find spaces where trauma-informed care, creative expression, and community belong together. This is not about bypassing the hard work of healing. Rather, it’s about remembering that arts-based, intuitive practices—tarot, human design, folk craft—were once medicine in themselves. Long before they were sidelined by the “hard sciences,” these folkways helped people process grief, mark seasons, and reconnect with their existential sovereignty. The Power of Intuitive Practice: Human Design as a Mirror One soft portal we explored was human design—a nuanced synthesis of ancient wisdom and modern insight. Both Sarah and I found this system not as a rigid prescription, but as a nuanced mirror. As Sarah explained, human design isn’t here to create new gurus, but to invite you into a deeper, self-led trust. Even the places where you feel open and vulnerable in your chart can become sources of wisdom, rather than shame. Our conversation highlighted how learning your unique energetic blueprint can be healing for those who’ve felt pathologized or out-of-step with mainstream norms. There is a gentle liberation in discovering that your sensitivities, intuitive nudges, and energetic cycles are not “problems”—they’re part of a sacred ecology. Reframing the People Pleaser: From Survival to Empowered Collaboration A vital part of the journey is making visible the parts of us shaped by survival. Many of us, especially those carrying trauma or social difference, have learned to be people pleasers—to compromise our voice to stay safe, loved, or visible in systems that weren’t built for us.Sarah’s wisdom here was an invitation: What if those very places where you’ve dimmed yourself are seeds of possibility? What if reclamation means celebrating your “too muchness,” your intuitive weirdness, your wild sensitivity? As we learn to commune with our intuition and creativity, we can shift from lonely solo walks to empowered collaboration—choosing community, mutual support, and creative reciprocity over isolation. Soft Openings: Gentle Invitations Into Practice If you’re curious to start your journey, gentle structure awaits.Sarah’s human design offerings, intuitive development course, and trauma-informed reports offer an accessible springboard ($7 for her intro course, built for nervous system safety and genuine self-trust). On my end, the Creative Liberation Starter Kit (always free) offers art-based compassion practices to dip your toes into folk wisdom without pressure or perfection. There’s no rush here. Healing and creativity unfold at the pace of your nervous system. Whether you try tarot, morning pages from The Artist’s Way, or sit quietly with your chart, know that you’re invited—never forced—into this circle.
