Understanding It Doesn't Mean You've Fixed It | #34 Lauren McSharry

What if understanding exactly why you react the way you do still isn't enough to change it? Lauren McSharry is a breathwork, mindset, and nervous system coach whose path began with dropping out of college. It felt like the end of the world at the time, but it became the first step in separating her worth from anyone else's definition of success. From there, choosing discomfort by living abroad opened the door to a completely different career. This episode explores the gap between knowing and feeling in somatic work. Why insight, as valuable as it is, alone doesn't create change, and what it actually takes to feel regulated, safe, and different in the moment it matters. We talk about belonging as a better compass than ambition alone, why the thing that triggers you is rarely the real issue, and how healing often starts by moving toward something, not just running from it. A conversation about identity, nervous system regulation, and trusting a process you can't yet fully see the end of. I Stepped Down To Move Forward | #33 Mackenzie Graham

What if the best way forward isn't climbing higher, but stepping down? Even if everyone around you thought it was a crazy decision... Mackenzie Graham left Bath Rugby at the end of the 24/25 season, one of the biggest academies in English rugby, to get more game time at Coventry. Not a setback, a deliberate move, an opportunity to progress. This episode is about making big decisions, consistency in your pursuit, and belonging. Mackenzie talks about being shifted position after position, learning that specific, targeted feedback and reflection always beats generic effort. At the top level, it turns out excellence is just ordinary things, repeated. The boring stuff, done relentlessly well. A conversation about identity, self-belief, and choosing the path that actually develops you over the one that just 'looks' better. I Was Never Wired For The Way I Was Working | #32 Jack Taylor

What if the way you're wired was the real reason you keep knowing exactly what to do, and still can't make yourself do it? Jack Taylor is a coach and entrepreneur who works with people through the idea of the "hunter brain". A brain that is wired for novelty and starting things, not rigid structure and mundane repetition. Different isn't broken. He was never wired for the way he was working. This episode is about why doing is where most people get stuck, not a lack of knowledge. We talk about patterns vs. labels, why growth can break the people who are brilliant at starting things, and how removing friction beats relying on willpower every time. A conversation about brain types, self-awareness, and building a life that works with your wiring instead of against it. See more of Jack here Support the show here

My Ladder Was Against The Wrong Building | #31 Andrew Jenkins

Have you ever built the life you thought you were supposed to want, only to get there and feel completely empty? At 21, Andrew Jenkins nearly lost his life in a car accident. What followed wasn't just physical recovery... it was years spent quietly climbing, chasing the version of success he'd been taught to want, only to reach the top and realise he'd built it on the wrong foundation. It took a serious realisation a few years later to make him stop and start again, properly this time. This episode goes underneath the obvious the Traitors story. It's about identity, grief you don't recognise as grief, and how unspoken expectations quietly script the ladder we spend our whole lives climbing. We talk about self-worth, emotional awareness, and what it actually means to separate who you are from what you've achieved. Plus, what changed once Andrew stopped performing for approval and started building a life that was actually his. See more from Andrew Support the Show

Medically Discharged, Then He Became The Fittest Man Alive | #30 Dan Long

How do you react when the life and career you are working toward are taken away all of a sudden, with ZERO warning? Dan and I discuss the ugly reality of neurological injury and life with chronic pain, how Dan handles the uncertainty of treatment, and how he has channeled this into something he had never heard of before his injury - Adaptive CrossFit. This episode isn't really about fitness. It's about identity, reinvention, and what it takes to rebuild yourself with nothing familiar to hold onto. We Stopped Waiting For "One Day" | #29 Russell & Danielle Grant

How much of your life are you postponing for "one day"? In this episode, Russell and Danielle Grant share the story of leaving the UK with a newborn and building a new life in Crete. But beneath the move itself is a much deeper conversation about freedom, identity, and having the courage to create a life that genuinely aligns with your values. We explore the mindset shifts required to make big life decisions, the role of mental rehearsal and visualisation, and why so many people stay stuck waiting for the "right time" to act. Russell also shares powerful insights into shadow work, self-awareness, and how unresolved fears and limiting beliefs can quietly shape the decisions we make. Along the way, we discuss entrepreneurship, financial freedom, family, purpose, and the reality that meaningful change is often built through small, consistent actions rather than one dramatic leap. This is a conversation about more than moving abroad. It's about trusting yourself, doing the inner work, and finally acting on the things you've been telling yourself you'll do "one day." The Weight Loss conversation we're NOT having... | #27 Jamie Weston

What if the biggest barrier to weight loss isn't a lack of knowledge, but the story you tell yourself? In this episode, we explore the weight loss conversation we're not having... The one that goes beyond diets, calories, and willpower. We talk about shame, self-worth, childhood experiences, emotional health, and the hidden narratives that shape our habits and behaviours. We also unpack why lasting change requires more than motivation, and how self-compassion, honesty, and deep inner work can create transformation that actually lasts. This is a conversation about much more than weight loss. It's about healing, identity, and learning to believe that change is possible.
