    Chaos Agents Podcast - Paintings (S0202)

    In our second pod of the year, we had a great time chatting with Paintings, a Fort Collins band made up of Max Pliskin, Nathan Adams, Clay Kauffman, and Jolo Louis (our co-host!). Paintings (formerly Paintings of Decay) started making music at the end of 2023, has had many forms and iterations since then, with their sound constantly evolving in the process. Right now, they are bringing the noise and 90s-inspired sounds to the Fort Collins scene, having released their latest album, "Cricket" in 2026.     Chaos Agents Podcast - Surprise Soup (S0201)

    We are stoked to kick off the first pod of 2026 with Surprise Soup, a Denver-based band who has become a fixture in the Fort Collins music scene. Surprise Soup are inspired by old school midwest emo, with a taste for jazz, blues, and improv. Their biggest goal is to bring people together through music and create a community where everyone can just let go and be goofy silly and dance despite everything going on in the world. This band has become a vehicle for more than just music, but also festivals and DIY events where they showcase artists who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to be heard.     In the last episode of 2025, we had a great time chatting and getting to know Winct (@whoswinct), a Wyoming based multi-genre artist and performer, with a primary focus in hip-hop. If you're not familiar, Winct is a bit of a Cheyenne outlier, passionate about his craft as a lyricist and brings the highest energy to every show. Gabe and Manley are dedicated to growing and supporting the music scene in Northern Colorado and supporting local artists. We deep dived into their vision for an equitable ecosystem for musicians, their fans, and venues, and how the system could function in a more mutually beneficial way.
