Collective Corporation Files: Housing Crisis & Settlements | The RE/MAX Effect

🎙️ The Digital Collective Podcast Segment: Collective Corp. Files Episode Title: Collective Corporation Files: Housing Crisis & Settlements | The RE/MAX Effect Host: Jarika Moon By: Lunar Innovations Subscribe now Collective Corporation Files: Housing Crisis & Settlements | The RE/MAX Effect RE/MAX built an empire on a simple pitch: home ownership as the American dream, sold by agents in red white and blue balloons. But the same Denver-based company selling that dream to American families has spent decades marketing homes in illegal Israeli settlements across the occupied West Bank, listing properties in colonies like Ariel and Ma'aleh Adumim through its Israeli franchise. Human Rights Watch named RE/MAX as the sole American corporation in its landmark report on companies profiting from the occupation, and BDS has kept RE/MAX on its priority target list ever since. This episode traces the RE/MAX effect on two fronts. At home, the housing crisis has turned ownership into a luxury few can reach, with agents and franchises profiting at every rung of the ladder. Abroad, that same business model helps transfer settlers onto stolen Palestinian land, a practice the UN has called a war crime under the Fourth Geneva Convention. Two housing crises, one corporate name attached to both. We're following the money, the listings, and the decades of pressure campaigns that RE/MAX has weathered without changing course. Story Mode: Chapter 15 | The Seekers and the System | The Secret Frequency with Jarika Moon

🎙️ The Digital Collective Podcast Segment: Story Mode Episode Title: Story Mode: Chapter 15 | The Seekers and the System Host: Jarika Moon By: Lunar Innovations   Subscribe now   Story Mode: Chapter 15 | The Seekers and the System Deep in the Earth Seekers' Cove, tucked against the edge of the Community Gardens, life moves at the pace of tended soil and salvaged glass. This episode opens with a portrait of that quiet world through Moab's bottle-glass windows and the inherited names that keep a lost planet alive on the tongue, before the hush of a coming gathering breaks the calm. Elias Musken's broadcast has named the Cove directly, and the Theta keepers know exactly what that means. What follows is a single, brutal night. Iron Nexus doesn't wait for the checkpoint hour anyone expected; they arrive in the dark, tearing through homes in search of a "weapon" no one in the Cove can name. Jarika steps forward to protect her people and her daughter, offering herself up in exchange for the rest. Ryker's attempt to stop the soldiers ends in a moment none of them can explain: a flicker, and then he's simply gone, teleported by instinct mid-blow. The aftermath splits the story three ways. Allayah is pulled from the Cove and into Maizen's care, where a desperate request for a Theta vision meets an honest refusal; Maizen won't risk a reading clouded by her own fear. Meanwhile Moab, with Cimarron's help, begins building a plan to slip past the Hush and go after Jarika, and reaches out to Atlas with news that lands like a second blow: Ryker is missing, and so is Jarika. This chapter sits at the hinge point of the season, the moment the Iron Horse's pressure on the Cove stops being rumor and becomes rupture. Expect the fallout, and the search for both Jarika and Ryker, to drive the episodes ahead. Against the Current: Pink Tax | Why Women Pay More than Men for the Same Products

🎙️ The Digital Collective Podcast Segment: Against The Current Episode Title: Against the Current: Pink Tax | Why Women Pay More than Men for the Same Products Host: Jarika Moon By: Lunar Innovations Subscribe now   Pink Tax | Why Women Pay More than Men for the Same Products   Subscribe now This episode of Against the Current tackles the pink tax: the pattern of pricing women's versions of everyday products (deodorant, razors, body wash, clothing, sneakers, underwear) higher than nearly identical men's versions, despite similar production costs. Jarika opens with a personal grocery store moment and walks through supporting data: women's sneakers running about 24% more, women's underwear about 27% more, and a California Senate finding that women pay roughly $2,300 more per year than men for comparable goods and services. The episode connects this to the gender pay gap, sitting above 13% as of 2024, framing the pink tax as a squeeze from both directions: less income, higher costs on non-optional essentials, including period products that are still taxed as non-essential in most states. It also breaks down how marketing and packaging (softer colors, "gentle" language) justify the markup without real product differences, using the minoxidil example where the women's formula is weaker but priced higher, and notes research showing advertisers pay more to target women online. On policy, the episode covers California's 1995 ban on gender-based pricing for services (where the term "pink tax" originated), the newer AB 1287 extending protections to consumer products, and the stalled federal Pink Tax Repeal Act (introduced 2024, reintroduced May 2025) along with the Pink Tariffs Study Act. Courts have said this issue needs a legislative fix, not litigation, so the episode closes with a call to action: buy the equivalent men's product when identical, check state period-product tax laws, support the federal repeal bill, and keep the conversation visible.   xo, Stay Connected Author of a speculative science fantasy series: "The Secret Frequency," found on the Digital Collective Podcast. https://linktr.ee/lunarinnovationsdmarketing   Segment Guide: 🚀 Story Mode The Secret Frequency A sci-fi narrative series following Jarika through a futuristic world where space, time, and storytelling collide. Collective Corporation Files: The Hell of Fast Fashion | The Zara Effect

🎙️ The Digital Collective Podcast Segment: Collective Corp. Files Episode Title: Collective Corporation Files: The Hell of Fast Fashion | The Zara Effect Host: Jarika Moon By: Lunar Innovations Subscribe now Collective Corporation Files: The Hell of Fast Fashion | The Zara Effect This episode of Collective Corporation Files takes on Inditex, the parent company of Zara (plus Massimo Dutti, Pull & Bear, Bershka, Oysho, Stradivarius, and Zara Home). It traces Zara's rise from a 1975 Spanish storefront to a fast-fashion giant, then lays out why BDS officially added Zara to its boycott list: a 2022 campaign event for far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir hosted by Zara's Israeli franchise chair, a 2021 designer controversy involving a Palestinian model, a 2023 ad pulled for imagery resembling shrouded bodies, and the tipping point in early 2025, when Zara opened its largest global flagship store near Tel Aviv despite internal calls to exit the market. The episode also notes labor abuse allegations in Brazil and Myanmar as part of a broader pattern. The second half breaks down how Zara's minimalist branding functions as a kind of camouflage, making the company look too tasteful and neutral to scrutinize, and contrasts its swift, vocal divestment from Russia with its silence on Gaza. It flags tactics like vague "misunderstanding" statements after controversies and influencer haul content that launders the brand's image. Finally, it offers alternatives (thrifting, transparent slow-fashion brands, independent designers, clothing swaps, mending) and a call to action stop shopping Inditex brands, use apps like Boycat to vet purchases, talk openly about the boycott, and stay consistent even after headlines fade.   Share xo, Stay Connected Author of a speculative science fantasy series: "The Secret Frequency," found on the Digital Collective Podcast. https://linktr.ee/lunarinnovationsdmarketing Guide to BDS Boycott & Pressure Corporate Priority Targeting | BDS Movement Segment Guide: 🚀 Story Mode The Secret Frequency A sci-fi narrative series following Jarika through a futuristic world where space, time, and storytelling collide. Story Mode: Chapter 14 | Borrowed Light | The Secret Frequency with Jarika Moon

🎙️ The Digital Collective Podcast Segment: Story Mode Episode Title: Story Mode: | Chapter 14 | Borrowed Light  Host: Jarika Moon By: Lunar Innovations Subscribe now      Story Mode: Chapter 14 | Borrowed Light   Subscribe now   Ryker successfully teleports from Sky Forge to the downtown Lunar Innovations City office, carrying the sealed document exactly as Maizen had foreseen. He arrives shaken but whole, and after a small test jump across the room, he and the Hive learn his range has limits they don't yet understand. Moab contacts Mercer at the Grove, and they agree to hold off sending Ryker back until they know what the jump actually costs him physically. Maizen, visibly shaken by the accuracy of her own vision, declines to join the outing and instead asks Ryker to deliver a private letter to Orion when their paths cross. Meanwhile, back at the Grove, Faelyn presses Mercer and Atlas on why the Hive acted without consulting the Moonwardens first, and the conversation surfaces an unsettling gap: no one thought to ask whether Maizen had seen anything about Ryker's return trip, only his arrival. The chapter's middle stretch follows Ryker's first real look at the city through Allayah's eager tour-guide energy, from the pulsing Innovator corridor to a meal that leaves him dazzled. A quiet, warm aside lets him tell Allayah about the Voltdrake, a half-mythic creature from Frostveil lore. The evening's ease is shattered when Elias Musken interrupts every screen in the restaurant with an announcement targeting the Earth Seekers settlement in the Community Gardens over supposed unregistered weapons. Jarika recognizes it instantly as a political strike against the group with the least power to defend itself, one that reaches into her own family bloodline and Allayah's, turning the night's wonder into cold apprehension.   Share xo, Stay Connected Author of a speculative science fantasy series: "The Secret Frequency," found on the Digital Collective Podcast. https://linktr.ee/lunarinnovationsdmarketing Segment Guide: 🚀 Story Mode The Secret Frequency A sci-fi narrative series following Jarika through a futuristic world where space, time, and storytelling collide. Story Mode: Chapter 13 | Testing One, Two, Theta | The Secret Frequency with Jarika Moon

🎙️ The Digital Collective Podcast Segment: Story Mode Episode Title: Story Mode: Chapter 13 | Testing One, Two, Theta Host: Jarika Moon By: Lunar Innovations Subscribe now   Story Mode: Chapter 13 | Testing One, Two, Theta Subscribe now Ryker's training with Mercer takes an unexpected leap forward when an attempt to test the limits of his Theta ability turns inward. After mastering object manipulation, he accidentally teleports himself across the training room, an effect that proves easier and more instinctive than moving anything else has been. Mercer's excitement is immediate, but Atlas arrives to ground the moment with a critical question nobody has answered yet: what does this actually cost the body. The chapter holds both reactions at once, wonder and caution, as the three lay out everything currently known about Theta across the city, the Grove, Sky Forge, and the unsettling confirmation that Iron Horse is now aware the frequency exists. Downtown, Jarika and Moab sit with the weight of what Maizen handed off in the previous chapter, working through how to protect Theta sleep from infiltration now that secrecy alone can't be trusted. Their conversation turns into something more personal when Moab finally asks about her history with Mercer, and Jarika answers plainly for the first time, naming what they built together and how he left with it. It is a quiet, unhurried scene that gives her grief room to be ordinary rather than dramatic, before the night shifts hard with Maizen's frantic arrival. Maizen reveals she's been having visions through Theta sleep, something no one in the city has ever experienced before, and one of them has already proven true. What she describes next is the real gut-punch of the chapter, Iron Horse testing people because they cannot access Theta on their own, with plans to use natural conduits as forced channels first in the city, then the Grove, then Sky Forge. It reframes the entire threat: this was never just surveillance; it was always going to come down to harvesting what they can't otherwise reach. The chapter closes on the detail that changes everything practically, Maizen's vision of Ryker arriving in Jarika's office with the document, safe and successful. It's the proof Mercer needed to move forward, and the final pages follow Ryker preparing for his first true long-distance jump, no longer practicing on rocks and coffee cups but reaching across an entire city toward people he's never met, guided only by the thread and the people who believe it'll hold.
