Two Old Ladies and a Microphone

Two Old Ladies and a Microphone

Carissa and Courtney are two (allegedly not-that-old) work friends with microphones, caffeine, and absolutely no business podcasting—but here we are. Every episode, we dive into fascinating debris from pop culture and weird nostalgia to hot takes, chaotic games, and questions no one asked. It’s unfiltered, occasionally thoughtful, and frequently derailed by our own cats. We’re not experts, but we are very opinionated—and that counts for something, right? Grab your coffee and come hang out. New episodes drop whenever we get it together (but technically it's monthly)

    Episode 17: Boddities

In this episode of 'Two Old Ladies and a Microphone', we delve into the fascinating and often bizarre world of human bodies that we’re calling “Boddities.” We’ll explore “Why do bodies do that?” looking at various bodily functions, reflexes, and quirks and discussing everything from the science behind goosebumps to the phenomenon of hysterical strength. Then in our new segment we’re calling “Reflections” we will take a look at which body part do we think we could let go of and why. The episode concludes with our last semi final lineup of Red Rover featuring Team Rudolph vs Team Swingin’ Serengeti. And just because it was funny and we couldn’t stop laughing, stay tuned after the episode for a rarely included outtake.  Stay in the loop: https://linktr.ee/twooldladiespodcast Follow us, send love mail, or just creep our cat pics. We won’t judge. Disclaimer: We’re just two chatterboxes sharing our thoughts, definitely not experts dishing out professional advice. Anything we say is purely our opinion (or a random tangent we wandered into). If you take life advice from us, well… that’s on you. Listener discretion (and maybe a strong cup of coffee) is advised. Episode 16: Unhinged Offerings

In this episode of 'Two Old Ladies and a Microphone', we venture into the nature of advice, particularly focusing on the bad advice people often give and receive. We explore the reasons behind why bad advice is so prevalent, and share some of our personal anecdotes of unhinged advice we’ve encountered, and reflect on our own experiences of giving advice. Then it’s our first semi final game of 'Red Rover', where we pit the characters from Friends vs Buffy the Vampire Slayer against each other.  Stay in the loop: https://linktr.ee/twooldladiespodcast Follow us, send love mail, or just creep our cat pics.
