    ⚙️ The Verdant Descent – Part 2.5: The Root Remembers The battle is over. But what the Sky Raiders left behind may prove far more dangerous. In the aftermath of the ambush aboard the Banana Split, Zadkael, Benji and Frank uncover a stolen data chip containing records of a forgotten Echo Shrine buried deep within the Verdant Wilds. For Benji, the discovery unlocks questions about a past he cannot remember. For Frank, it reopens wounds he thought were buried. And for Zadkael, it is another piece of a mystery he is only beginning to understand. Their journey soon brings them to Sky Harbor — a sprawling city suspended above the jungle canopy, filled with strange merchants, old faces and even older secrets. A Gene-Forged merchant recognises what Zadkael has become. A blind woman warns him that he carries memories that are not his own. An ancient elephant remembers the Obsidian Gene-Forged.
