With rumors of some 30 new devices for 2026, including entering the foldable category from the first time while potentially looking on as the AI economy could well contract given the limited ability at this stage to generate the type of revenue to substantiate the huge investments in model training and data centers, Apple along with its huge cash coffer, could well come out of this as one of the top player and even possibly buy for pennies on the dollar a strong AI outfit. Fans are still very much loyal and there is little doubt that they will be eager to buy what new or refreshed products and services Apple has to offer in 2026.

Whether it overshot thinking the infrastructure such had high speed connections throughout the world, would be enough to get people everywhere to spend time there. Fortunately, given recurring income from its regular services Meta is ok, and now Keefe again spending like a drunken sailor on AI. Has Zuckerberg learned anything from the metaverse experience?

    Send us a text Apple is truly coming to take on and take over the foldable market. Its foldable is now confirmed and it si strongly hinted at that once unfolded it may have more so of a passport shape, which interestingly there are strong rumors Samsung is developing a variant of the Z Fold 8, in addition to its recent Z TriFold. Is there some panic at Samsung? Apparently, Apple has ordered 11 million displays of the type that Samsung uses to make folding screens. If this is any indication, it means Apple intends to come out the gate roaring!

    AGI Coming part 2: The End of Human Thinking as Economic Value

    Send us a text  People seem to interpret AGI as AI taking over a la Terminator SkyLink, but what it actually is, is when AI is able to outperform any given expert in a given mostly intellectual field. With AI being fed all written knowledge from books, studies to curriculum of the best universities, it is only logical that this type of AGI will occur sooner rather than later. But what this means is that the knowledge of people applied in research to work settings will no longer be necessary. At this point, with this type of AGI able to effectively plan and forecast better than any given individual, the need for people thinking to solve problems will gradually fade out. This will entail huge disruption and massive loss of white collar jobs as well as other categories of work relying primarily on problem-solving and creativity.

    Samsung Z TriFold: An Impressive First Model... with some Significant Caveats

    Send us a text Samsung's Z TriFold is an almost surprisingly polished product. Yes it is an extension of a set of devices that have been around for 7 iterations already, yet it seems to bring it all together in a sophisticated manner. Except for the lack of spending and a slightly thicker physical edges, the device looks prime time ready. Another achievement by Samsung is that it managed to get this product out before Apple's foldable iPhone. This all but guarantees that Samsung will have bragging rights when Apple releases its foldable, sometime in 2026. Samsung, as we have stated before seems to have taken the lead in the narrative when it comes to innovation. That's a smart move.
