    The Birdman Flies Again: Tony Hawk on the 900 and Everything After

He talks about growing up famous before social media existed, getting harassed at high school for skating while quietly flying across the country to sign autographs on weekends, and buying his first house at 17 while driving a Civic. He walks through the 1991 collapse of skateboarding that forced him to sell his second house, live on instant noodles and Taco Bell, and take odd jobs editing videos and consulting on Hollywood shoots. Then comes the turnaround: pulling equity out of his house to start Birdhouse, the X Games era, and the Activision deal where he turned down a $500,000 royalty buyout on a game that has since generated over $1 billion.
