    Is This As Good As It Gets?

    Have you ever wondered whether you’ve quietly accepted less because of what happened in your past? Maybe you’ve healed. Maybe you’ve repented. Maybe you’ve made peace with things you once thought would break you. But somewhere along the way, you stopped expecting much from the future. In this episode of Jules4Jesus, we look at the story behind two names: Manasseh and Ephraim. One speaks of the past losing its grip. The other speaks of becoming fruitful again. Through Joseph’s story, Psalm 51, Jeremiah 31 and the call to repentance, we explore what it means to come clean before Jesus, let Him wipe the canvas clean, and trust the Creator with what He wants to paint next. Your past may explain parts of your story. But it does not have to predict your future. Maybe this is not as good as it gets. Maybe there is still something to build. Still something to plant. Still fruit to come. May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh.

    Are You Stuck In Survival Mode? Listen To This.

    What if God isn’t asking you to fight harder… but to finally put your arms down? For years, I saw myself in Rizpah, the mother in 2 Samuel 21 who stayed on the rock, guarding the bodies of her sons from the birds and wild animals. I understood the watching. The praying. The persevering. The refusing to give up. But somehow I had missed four incredibly important words: “Till the rain poured down…” There was an until. Rizpah was never meant to live on that rock forever. And this time, her story spoke to me differently: Jules, the rain has come. You can rest now. In this episode, we talk about what happens when perseverance has served its purpose, but your heart is still living in survival mode. We look at the extraordinary story of Rizpah, the moment David finally acts, and the words that stopped me in my tracks: “After that, God answered prayer in behalf of the land.” — 2 Samuel 21:14 What if something has shifted? What if the season really has changed? What if the rain isn't only announcing the end of what you've survived, but watering what God wants to grow next?     When Life Feels Out Of Order, Listen To This

    What if the grass looks greener on the other side… because you’ve stopped looking at where God has positioned you? Numbers 2 looks, at first, like a chapter about camping arrangements. Who pitches where. Who camps next to whom. Who leads. Who moves first. But tucked inside those details is a powerful picture of how we are meant to move through life: God in the centre. Jesus out in front. And you faithfully occupying the place God has entrusted to you. In this episode of Jules4Jesus, we talk about comparison, contentment, family, spiritual legacy, and why constantly looking at somebody else’s “campsite” can pull us out of our own position. We also look at something beautiful in the order of Israel’s camp: Judah was instructed to set out first — the very tribe through which Jesus would ultimately come. So who is marching out first in your life? Your plans? Your children? Your career? Your fear? Your need to control what happens next? Or Jesus? And what sits at the centre of everything?     Want To Hear Some Good News? Listen To This.

    What if you’ve been trying to repay a debt Jesus already cancelled? In this episode of the Jules4Jesus Podcast, I’m taking something I deal with every day in my working life — contracts — and using it to look at something far more important: The New Covenant. Hebrews calls it “a better covenant” established on “better promises.” So what exactly are those promises? What has been cancelled? What has been secured? What do we inherit? What is required from us? And if every agreement needs an offer and an acceptance… have we actually accepted what God is offering? Under the old covenant, sacrifices had to be offered again and again, year after year. Then Jesus came. One sacrifice. Once for all. And suddenly the account reads very differently: Debt: cancelled. Forgiveness: offered. Belonging: restored. Inheritance: eternal. But here’s where many of us get stuck. God says, I forgive you. And we say, Yes, but let me punish myself a little longer. God says, You’re My child. And we say, Yes, but let me first prove that I deserve to be here. God says, The debt has been paid. And somehow… we keep sending instalments. My friend, grace is not something you repay. It is something you receive. So grab your coffee, your metaphorical reading glasses and a black pen — because apparently we’re reviewing the book of Hebrews like a contract today. And there is one question I really want you to consider: God has made the offer. Jesus has secured the covenant. Will you accept it? The covenant is better. The promises are better. The inheritance is eternal. And the One who promised is faithful.

    Scared To Speak Up? Listen To This.

    What if one courageous conversation could stop destruction at the wall? In 2 Samuel 20, an unnamed wise woman speaks up while Joab’s army is preparing to tear down her city. She has no army, no title and no obvious power, but she has wisdom, courage and a voice. And because she uses it, Joab stops and listens. But here’s the part we also need to talk about: speaking the truth does not always mean people will listen. Sometimes you say what needs to be said, you speak with love, you draw the boundary, you obey God and the outcome still isn’t what you hoped for. That does not automatically mean you failed. In this episode of the Jules4Jesus Podcast, we talk about the courage to speak, the wisdom to identify the real problem, the difference between peace and passivity, and why obedience still matters even when you cannot control the response. We also look at the fascinating biblical mention of Serah, daughter of Asher, and how one small name in a genealogy led us all the way to the woman on the wall. Sometimes one faithful voice stops destruction. And sometimes people do not listen. Either way, the glory belongs to God, and faithfulness still matters.

    Stop Looking Away. (Listen To This)

    Ever felt that quiet, internal nudge that says, “This isn’t right,” but chose to sip your coffee and keep scrolling instead? We often think we’ll walk away from God in one big, dramatic moment, but the truth is far more subtle. We drift one compromise at a time, one ignored conviction at a time, and one moment where we choose comfort over obedience. We dive into the striking contrast between two men in Scripture who shared the same name: Phinehas. One saw compromise and responded with zeal, leading to a covenant of peace.
