Last Words is a podium for the dying created to share stories, reflections, and living legacies. Host Nic Main, a former cancer patient, created the podcast in the face of his mother’s death with one goal: to learn what it means to live. Episodes follow a two-part format: Last Words – Real stories from people facing death through terminal illness or uncertain diagnoses. Last Words: Death Perception – Conversations with those who walk and work alongside the dying, who provide their unique perspectives on how death shapes how they live life.     Religions and faith practices have long served as guidebooks for life, offering meaning, structure, and direction for what comes after.  Each belief system offers its own layered and foundation concept of mortality.  To truly understand death, we must not only see it through the physical lens, but also through the spiritual.  This is Last Words Death Perception: Islamic Concepts on Mortality Meet Dr. Zahid Saqib, A physician for over 46 years who represents the Islamic Society of Evansville.  In chapter one, he not only walks us through his own origin story - but walks us through the foundational principles of Islam and most of all, how he himself came to know God.  I spent days sitting with Dr.Saqib, reviewing and learning about Islam.
