    I Had Him

In the Season 3 premiere of Voices of Hope, Omar Kenyatta Clark looks back on seasons when mental illness, psychiatric hospitalization, depression, and uncertainty stripped life down to what mattered most. From desperate prayers on the floor to unexpected joy through worship in psychiatric hospitals—and eventually returning to those same kinds of places to serve others—Omar reflects on what remained constant while so much around him was changing. I Had Him is about what he discovered in the darkness, how it changed the way he understands hope and recovery, and why he has returned to Voices of Hope with one clear purpose: to bear witness to Jesus Christ.

We Are The Trees and God is The Gardener: The Science of Faith

In this episode of Voices of Hope, Omar sits down with Ijanea Joseph for a powerful conversation at the intersection of faith, science, and everyday decision-making. Together, they explore the science of faith and a beautiful metaphor: God as the gardener and us as the trees. Just as trees grow in response to sunlight, water, and seasons, our biology mirrors the rhythms of nature—and points us back to a Creator who designed growth into both our bodies and our souls. This episode also dives into what it really means to hear God’s voice when making life decisions. Not in a mystical, disconnected way—but through alignment, discernment, and walking by faith even when the path isn’t fully clear. Ijanea shares insight on how faith isn’t just spiritual—it’s physiological, emotional, and deeply practical. If you’ve ever wondered how faith connects to the way you’re wired… If you’ve struggled to know whether a decision is coming from fear or from God… If you’re trying to learn how to walk forward without seeing the whole road… This conversation will challenge and encourage you to trust the Gardener who knows exactly how and when you’re meant to grow.

Spiritual Lightning: When God gives you a wake up call

In this moving episode of Voices of Hope, Omar Kenyatta Clark sits down with Michael Baglino to explore what Michael calls “spiritual lightning”—those life-altering moments when God gets your attention and your life is never the same. Michael shares how undergoing three separate heart surgeries became more than medical crises; they became divine wake-up calls. Each surgery stripped away fear, reshaped his priorities, and drew him closer to God in ways comfort never could. What began as physical survival became spiritual transformation. Together, they talk about how pain can become purpose, how suffering can sharpen faith, and how God sometimes uses disruption to realign our lives with what truly matters. Michael’s story is a testament to the idea that even in the darkest hospital rooms, light can break through—and when it does, it can change everything. This episode is for anyone who has been shaken by life, searching for meaning after trauma, or wondering whether God still speaks through hard moments. Michael’s journey reminds us that a second chance isn’t just about living longer—it’s about living differently.
