Spread Awareness, Not RSV - Episode 5 with Seshni Fester

In Episode 5 of our Spread Awareness, Not RSV series, we sit down with Seshni Fester who works in corporate, is a wife and mum who shares her family’s experience when her preemie contracted RSV. Her child had received the RSV vaccine, and when he became ill, they were able to treat him at home — without needing to go to hospital or experience another NICU admission. For this preemie mum, however, the experience brought back a lot of emotions. The coughing. The worry. Watching your child breathe. The constant fear that things could suddenly take a turn. It reminded her of the NICU days and the emotions that came with having a premature baby. She shares what that experience was like, why she believes receiving the RSV vaccine made a difference, and what she wants other parents — especially parents of premature babies — to know. Because prevention matters. Awareness matters. And sometimes, being prepared can mean the difference between managing an illness at home and another hospital stay.
