SiPod Series 3 Episode 1: Taking up new hobbies

In an episode that was recorded peacemeal, Simon discusses a hobby he took up before he went on holiday to the French Territorial Collectivity of Corsica in June 2023. He talks about how helpful it is not just for avoiding boredom, but also from the perspective of learning a foreign language, how positive an impression it can give to those who speak said language, how it will help you get by, even if you\'re not fluent.

SiPod Season 2 Episode 8: St George\'s Day 2000, 2000 British Grand Prix

In the first Formula One British Grand Prix of the new millennium, the race was switched from its normal July date to St George\'s Day, 23rd April, which also happened to be Easter Sunday that year. Simon talks about the (literally) messy situation and why it hasn\'t been staged in April since.

SiPod Season 2 Episode 7: Alan Kulwicki special

1st April 2022 marks 29 years since the 1992 NASCAR Winston Cup Champion Alan Kulwicki lost his life in an aeroplane accident in Bristol, Tennessee, USA. While well known in the NASCAR community, he is less familiar to the Motorsport community outside of the NASCAR world. So, with this podcast, Simon aims to help raise awareness of this unique champion.

SiPod Season 2 Episode 6: Watergate (nearly) 50 years on

The Watergate Scandal is an infamous period of time that has negatively defined Richard Nixon’s legacy. This podcast does not really go too far in depth in the 37th President in terms of his personality, but instead it looks into the chain of events that culminated in his becoming the first and (as of 2022) only US President to resign due to scandal. This is due to the year 2022 marking 50 years since the Watergate building was burgled twice in 1972. Simon provided a mimicking of the 37th President\'s voice in this podcast, and are based on the words spoken by Richard Nixon himself.

SiPod Season 2 Episode 5: 1999 European Grand Prix (Simon\'s favourite Grand Prix)

Of all the Grands Prix that Simon has watched, the 1999 European Grand Prix is and was his favourite. This podcast explains why. The sound of Murray Walker commentating at the 1999 European Grand Prix does not belong to me, it belongs to its owner

SiPod Season 2 Episode 4: 2005 US Grand Prix, aka the 6 car farce of a race

The 17th-19th June 2005 was supposed to be one of the most important and prestigious races on the F1 calendar. Instead, through a combination of technical and political issues throughout the weekend, it descended into intransigence and the result was a six car field taking the start. The views Simon expressed in this are his own.

SiPod Season 2 Episode 3: 1996 Japanese Grand Prix lookback

In this podcast, to mark 25 years of Simon following the Formula One World Championship, he takes a look back at the race where his love of F1 began. I do not own the sound of Murray Walker commentating in the Japanese Grand Prix in 1996.

SiPod Episode 2 Season 2: Carlos Reutemann and his near miss in 1981

With the passing of 12 time Grand Prix winner, Carlos Reutemann, on 7th July 2021, age 79, Simon talks about one of the most underrated championship battles in F1 history, the 1981 battle between Nelson Piquet and Carlos Reutemann.
