When Low Energy Becomes Your Normal

When Low Energy Becomes Your Normal 💃 Don't Let The Old Lady In | Conversations with Lorie When did being tired become something you simply accepted? Maybe you blame your age. Maybe you're doing everything you're supposed to do—but still feel depleted. Or maybe you've spent so much energy taking care of everyone and everything else that you've forgotten what it feels like to be truly energized. In this week's conversation, we're looking beyond physical fatigue to explore the emotional and spiritual dimensions of energy. Because sometimes the question isn't just why we're tired. It's where our energy is going—and whether we're leaving enough for ourselves. I'll share how meditation and reconnecting with my inner life have helped me experience greater peace and clarity, and why I believe self-love is foundational to living fully. What if the purpose of having more energy isn't to do more—but to live more? 💙 Explore the Energy Reset Formula: https://www.loriegardnerwellness.com/energy-reset-formula-1.     Thank you for listening. I'll also share a fascinating question about getting out of a chair that may change how you think about your exercise routine. Because we're not exercising simply to add years to our lives. YOUR DOCTOR SAYS YOU’RE FINE. ARE YOU? What to Do When the Tests Look Normal but You Still Don’t Feel Right

You know something doesn’t feel right. So you make the appointment. Your doctor evaluates you. Tests are ordered. Then the message comes back: “Everything looks fine.” That should be reassuring. But there’s one problem. You still don’t feel fine. So what happens next? In this week’s Conversation with Lorie, we’re exploring how to remain connected to your own experience while still respecting the expertise of the healthcare professionals caring for you. This is not about distrusting doctors. It’s about partnership. Your healthcare professional brings medical expertise. You bring something no one else can provide: the experience of living in your body every day. Good healthcare needs both. IN THIS CONVERSATION We’ll explore: What “normal” actually means Why symptoms can still deserve attention after reassuring testing Questions to ask when you still don’t feel right When another medical opinion may be helpful Why seeking a second opinion doesn’t mean your first doctor was wrong How online medical research can inform you—but also increase anxiety and confusion Why information isn’t the same as judgment When healthcare advocacy can become invaluable Thank you for listening. Strong Is the New Young - Why Strength May Matter More Than Looking Younger

What do you want your body to still allow you to do ten or twenty years from now? Walk through an airport carrying your own bag? Get down on the floor and back up again? Climb stairs? Travel? Golf? Garden? Live independently? For much of our lives, women have been encouraged to think about exercise primarily in terms of weight, calories and appearance. But as we get older, there’s another reason to become stronger: freedom. In this week’s Conversation with Lorie, we explore why strength matters far beyond what happens in the gym. Strength supports our ability to participate in the lives we want to live. It influences independence, confidence, mobility and the choices available to us as we age. We’ll also talk about the science of age-related muscle loss, why older muscles can still respond to resistance training, and how to begin thinking about fitness differently. Thank you for listening. I wish you an amazing aging journey, so I have listed a few resources for you to get you started.
