Episode 1: Best Time to Visit the Desert – Festivals and Events in Dubai

Hello and welcome to Desert Pulse – the podcast where we bring you stories, tips, and exciting adventures from the heart of Dubai’s desert! I’m your host, Adnan Anjum, and today we’re talking about something very helpful – the best time to visit the desert, and what festivals and events make your trip even more fun. 1. Weather and Timing – 0:30 to 2:00 So, when is the best time to visit the Dubai desert?. Honestly, October to March is the best season. Why? Because the weather is cooler, comfortable, and perfect for outdoor fun like dune bashing, camel rides, quad biking, and BBQ dinners. In summer, like from June to August, it gets very hot, sometimes over 45°C (113°F)! Some desert safaris still run, but it’s better to go in the cooler months for the full experience. 2. Big Events & Festivals – 2:00 to 5:30 Now let’s talk about festivals and events that happen in the desert or nearby and how they can make your visit even more special: 🌟 1. UAE National Day – December 2nd It’s a big celebration with fireworks, music, and special performances. Some desert camps have live shows, traditional dances, and decorated tents. A great time to enjoy both culture and fun in the desert. 🌙 2. Ramadan (Dates change each year) The desert is quieter, but evening safaris are peaceful and magical. After sunset (Iftar), you can enjoy authentic Emirati food and cultural shows. It’s a time of reflection and beauty. 🎆 3. New Year’s Eve – December 31st Some desert camps offer New Year parties with fireworks. You can celebrate under the stars, with music, food, and even countdowns. Much more peaceful than city crowds – perfect for families and couples. 🎪 4. Dubai Shopping Festival (Jan–Feb) Not in the desert, but the city gets busy and exciting. Many tourists combine shopping during the day and desert trips in the evening. Lots of deals on safari packages! 3. What to Expect – 5:30 to 6:30 No matter when you come, you’ll find something amazing in the desert –  but visiting during a festival gives you extra fun, better atmosphere, and unique memories. So, if you're planning your trip, try to come between October and March, and check if any festivals are happening. It will make your desert safari even more special! 4. Outro – 6:30 to 7:00   Thanks for listening to Desert Pulse! If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to follow our podcast for more helpful tips and real desert stories.
