  1. The Church and State Lie

    The Church and State Lie

Send us Fan Mail This week's Moment of Truth: Psalm 127:1 (NIV) — "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain."  The Lord built this nation. The Bible was its foundation. And piece by piece, that foundation has been dismantled — starting in 1962 when prayer and Scripture were removed from our schools.  The wall between church and state that Americans have accepted as law? It was never meant to protect the state from the church. It was meant to protect the church from the state. Five words lifted out of context from a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote in 1802 have been used to silence the very faith that made this nation great.  Speaker of the House Johnson recently held up a worn Bible and said something worth sitting with — a Bible that's falling apart usually belongs to a man who isn't. How long before we say the same about this nation?  In this week's "Moment of Truth," Colonel Richard J. Mendelow (Ret) calls every Christian man to stop accepting the lie and start fighting — politically, culturally, and in his own home — to put the word of God back where it belongs.  Support the show Listen now at https://courageouschristianity.today/moment-of-truth/ or find "Moment of Truth" wherever you get your podcasts and if you like what you hear, subscribe and listen each week.  Visit CourageousChristianity.today for full episodes, resources, and to learn more. 2. Critical Vulnerability

    Critical Vulnerability

Send us Fan Mail This week's Moment of Truth: Romans 12:2 (NIV) — "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will." Every warrior has a critical vulnerability — the weak point that, if left unguarded, will take him down. What is yours? In this week's "Moment of Truth," Colonel Richard J. Mendelow (Ret) makes it plain: when you call yourself a Christian, you wear the uniform of Christ. That uniform comes with responsibility. What you think, what you say, and how you live either honors the One whose name you carry — or it doesn't. Romans 12:2 is not a suggestion. It is a direct order. Do not conform. Be transformed. The battlefield is your mind, and the world is fighting for it every single day. Are you? The center of gravity for every Christian warrior is the Bible. Your critical capability is reading it. And your critical vulnerability is whatever is keeping you from it. Busyness. Distraction. Comfort. None of those are acceptable excuses when you consider what Christ gave for you. So, what is standing between you and your Bible today? 3. No "But" About It

    Apr 23

    No "But" About It

Send us Fan Mail This week's Moment of Truth: Acts 1:8 (NIV) — "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."  Jesus did not say, "You will be my witnesses — but only when it's comfortable." There is no "but" in that command. So why do so many Christian men keep adding one?  In this week's "Moment of Truth," Colonel Richard J. Mendelow (Ret) draws directly from his experience leading Marines and advisors in Afghanistan to make one point clear: when you are on mission, your personal opinions don't matter. Where you came from doesn't matter. What matters is the right perspective, the rules of engagement, and doing your job.  Is Christianity any different? The conflicts you face each day — at home, at work, on the streets of this nation — are not interruptions to your mission. They are your mission. How you respond is everything.  When a Christian says "but," he is saying he knows better than Jesus about this particular situation. Do you actually believe that? Because the moment you add "but," you stop being a witness and start being fuel on the fire.  The command is clear. The mission is assigned. Are you walking it out — or are you still negotiating with the One who gave the orders?  Support the show Listen now at https://courageouschristianity.today/moment-of-truth/ or find "Moment of Truth" wherever you get your podcasts and if you like what you hear, subscribe and listen each week.  Visit CourageousChristianity.today for full episodes, resources, and to learn more. 4. The Only Decision That Matters

    Apr 9

    The Only Decision That Matters

Send us Fan Mail This week’s Moment of Truth: “He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” — Isaiah 53:3–5 (NIV)  You can spend your life building—your health, your knowledge, your influence, your position. Those things have their place, but they are not what endure.  We spend our time working on those things because they feel important.  But in the end, they are not what matters most.  What matters is whether or not you chose to believe in Jesus.  That is the decision that stands.  And once that decision is made, it is reflected in how you live—steady, consistent, and real. In obedience. In commitment. In how you prepare and how you act.  This week’s "Moment of Truth" lays that out plainly—what Christ has done, what that decision means, and what it looks like to actually live it out as a Christian warrior.  Support the show Listen now at https://courageouschristianity.today/moment-of-truth/ or find "Moment of Truth" wherever you get your podcasts and if you like what you hear, subscribe and listen each week.  Visit CourageousChristianity.today for full episodes, resources, and to learn more.
