    Don’t Change the Goal—Change the Strategy 💯

🎙️ The Empowerment Podcast with Coach Stephanie Carrodegua How many times have you set a goal, started working toward it, and then halfway through decided to make the goal smaller because you weren’t sure you could reach it? We do this all the time. Maybe your goal is to lose five pounds in three months. You’re a month and a half in, you’ve lost two pounds, and suddenly you start thinking: “Maybe I’ll just make my goal four pounds instead.” But why? Don’t change the goal just because you’re afraid you might not reach it. That’s the moment to stop, look at what’s happening, and ask yourself what needs to be adjusted. Maybe your nutrition needs some attention. Maybe your workouts need to change. Maybe your consistency hasn’t been where you thought it was. Maybe life happened and you need to restructure your routine. Or maybe you’re actually making great progress and simply need to keep going. Whatever the answer is, adjust the strategy—not the destination. Your goal gives you something to measure against. If you keep moving the finish line every time you’re worried you won’t reach it, you lose the opportunity to learn from what’s working and what isn’t. And this applies to so much more than fitness. Maybe you set a business goal and you’re behind on your numbers. Maybe you’re trying to save a certain amount of money. Maybe you’re building a new habit. Maybe you’re working toward something you’ve never accomplished before. Don’t immediately make the goal smaller so you can say you reached it. Ask yourself what needs to change in YOU and in your ACTIONS to move closer to it. Sometimes reaching a new goal requires becoming a new version of yourself. It might require more consistency.
More discipline.
A different routine.
More support.
A new strategy.
Or simply more patience. And here’s something else that’s important: Even if you ultimately don’t hit the exact number by the exact date, that doesn’t mean the goal failed. You still have valuable information. You can look back and say, “Okay. What worked? What didn’t? What did I learn? What will I do differently next time?” That’s growth. 💭 This Week’s Challenge Look at one goal you’re currently working toward. Are you tempted to make it smaller because you’re worried you won’t reach it? Don’t move the finish line. Instead, ask yourself: What needs to change in my actions, habits, routine, or strategy to give me a better chance of reaching this goal? Then make one adjustment this week. Keep the goal.
Change the strategy.
Learn from the process.
And keep moving forward. Because sometimes the goal isn’t asking you to give up. It’s asking you to grow. 💯🔥 Thank you for listening to The Empowerment Podcast with Coach Stephanie Carrodegua. Building Community, Creating Opportunity & Empowering Others with Monica Lovato & Trey Morelock 🤩

This episode of The Empowerment Podcast looks a little different—and that’s exactly what makes it special. ❤️ I sat down with Monica Lovato and Trey Morelock from Realty ONE of New Mexico for a conversation about real estate, entrepreneurship, relationships, community, and what it really means to create opportunities for yourself and others. We recorded this episode from one of their beautiful property listings, but our conversation went far beyond buying and selling homes. We talked about the importance of building genuine relationships, navigating the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, staying connected to your purpose, and recognizing the power of the people you surround yourself with. Because empowerment isn’t just about fitness. It’s about having the confidence to pursue something bigger for your life. It’s about stepping outside of your comfort zone, building meaningful connections, supporting the people around you, and being willing to create opportunities instead of waiting for them to appear. One of my favorite things about conversations like this is getting to hear the stories behind the people we see succeeding. There are lessons, challenges, relationships, and a whole lot of work behind every journey. And when we share those stories, we remind other people of what’s possible for them too. This episode is also a reminder of something I believe deeply: Community matters. When we connect, collaborate, share resources, and genuinely want to see one another win, we don’t just build successful businesses—we build stronger communities. 💯 Thank you, Monica and Trey, for sitting down with me, sharing your perspectives, and being part of The Empowerment Podcast. And to everyone listening: keep building relationships, keep putting yourself in rooms with people who inspire you, and keep looking for ways to both offer value and receive support. We don’t have to build our dreams alone. 🫶🏽✨ Follow @coachstephaniecarrodegua for more conversations about empowerment, mindset, healthy habits, fitness, entrepreneurship, and becoming the strongest version of yourself.

    Disracted much 🤔

Not every distraction looks like a distraction. Sometimes distractions are obvious—social media, procrastination, unhealthy habits, or constantly putting things off. But sometimes distractions look like opportunities, relationships, excitement, comfort, or even beautiful scenery along the way. And that’s where we have to become intentional. Think about your goal like a destination. When you’re driving somewhere, it’s perfectly okay to look around. It’s okay to enjoy the scenery. You might even pull over occasionally, take a picture, rest, and appreciate where you are. But you still have somewhere you’re trying to go. The beautiful scenery along the way can become a distraction if you forget the destination. The same thing happens in life. Distractions can show up in your health when temporary comfort becomes more important than the habits you committed to. They can show up in your career or business when every new opportunity makes you abandon the plan you’re already working. They can show up in your relationships when someone else’s priorities begin replacing your own. They can even show up in your mindset through comparison, overthinking, fear, self-doubt, or constantly questioning whether you’re on the right path. The goal isn’t to eliminate every distraction. The goal is to learn how to manage them so they don’t steer you. Ask yourself: Is this moving me toward the life I’m trying to create—or simply getting my attention? Is this something I genuinely want, or is it just exciting right now? Does this deserve my energy? And most importantly… Where did I say I was going? Because sometimes the answer isn’t to work harder. Sometimes the answer is simply to remember your destination. 💭 This Week’s Challenge This week, identify one distraction in each major area of your life—your health, relationships, career or business, and mindset. Then ask yourself: How can I manage this distraction without allowing it to manage me? Maybe you need a boundary.
Maybe you need to turn off notifications.
Maybe you need to say no to an opportunity.
Maybe you need to stop comparing your journey to someone else’s.
Or maybe you simply need to recommit to the goal you already chose. You are absolutely allowed to enjoy the journey. Sightsee. Take pictures. Stop and smell the flowers. Enjoy the beautiful scenery. Just don’t get so distracted by what’s along the road that you forget where you were headed. Stay the course. Your destination is still waiting for you. 🎯✨ Thank you for listening to The Empowerment Podcast with Coach Stephanie Carrodegua. Give yourself credit 🫶🏽✨

In a world that’s constantly telling us to become more, do more, and achieve more, it’s easy to fall into the trap of believing we’re only worthy once we reach the next milestone. “I’ll love myself when I lose the weight.” “I’ll be proud of myself when I make more money.” “I’ll be enough when I finally become that person.” But what if I told you that the person you are today deserves your love just as much as the person you’re working to become? Who you are right now has carried you through every challenge you’ve faced. You’ve survived heartbreak, disappointment, uncertainty, setbacks, and moments you weren’t sure you’d make it through. You’ve learned, grown, adapted, and kept moving forward. Give yourself credit for that. Yes, growth is important. Growth asks us to evolve, to stretch beyond our comfort zone, and to step into new versions of ourselves. But growth doesn’t require us to reject who we are today. In fact, the strongest transformations are built on self-respect—not self-criticism. Here’s something beautiful to think about: The person you are today is the person your past self was hoping and praying to become. Take a moment to let that sink in. Think about where you were one year ago… five years ago… maybe even ten years ago. There was a version of you who wished for the wisdom you have now. The confidence you’re building. The lessons you’ve learned. The strength you’ve earned through experience. You may not be at your final destination—and that’s okay. None of us are. But don’t overlook how far you’ve already come. Celebrate your progress. Honor your journey. Be grateful for the version of yourself that’s standing here today. Because the truth is, your future self isn’t built by hating who you are now. They’re built by loving yourself enough to keep growing. 💭 This Week’s Challenge Set aside a few quiet minutes this week to appreciate the person you are today. Write down three things you genuinely love about yourself. They don’t have to be accomplishments—they can be qualities, strengths, or moments of resilience. Then thank yourself for not giving up. You are a work in progress, but you are also a masterpiece in progress. Never forget that. Thank you so much for listening to The Empowerment Podcast with Coach Stephanie Carrodegua. If this episode touched your heart, share it with someone who needs the reminder that they are already worthy, exactly as they are. Follow me on Instagram @coachstephaniecarrodegua for more fitness, mindset, and empowerment content. Until next time, be kind to yourself, celebrate your journey, and remember this: You don’t have to become someone else to be worthy of love. Love who you are today, and let that love become the foundation for the person you’re becoming tomorrow. ❤️

The power in knowing what you actually want 👏🏽💯

Have you ever noticed how much easier it is to make progress when you know exactly where you’re going? One of the biggest reasons people struggle to reach their goals isn’t because they lack motivation or discipline—it’s because their goals are too vague. “I want to get healthier.” “I want to lose weight.” “I want to be happier.” Those are great intentions, but your brain needs more direction than that. The more specific you are, the more clarity you create. And clarity creates action. Your unconscious mind is always working in the background. It’s constantly filtering information, looking for opportunities, and influencing your daily decisions. When you give it a clear target, it begins noticing people, habits, resources, and opportunities that align with that goal. At the same time, you’re more likely to recognize distractions and choices that pull you away from where you’re trying to go. Instead of saying, “I want to exercise more,” try saying, “I’m going to strength train for 45 minutes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6:00 PM.” Instead of saying, “I want to eat healthier,” decide exactly what that looks like. Maybe it’s eating 30 grams of protein at every meal or preparing your lunches every Sunday. Specific goals remove guesswork. They give your mind a clear destination and your actions a clear direction. Success isn’t about wishing for a different life—it’s about creating a clear roadmap and taking intentional steps every single day. 💭 This Week’s Challenge Choose one specific goal for this week. Not ten. Not someday. Just one. Make it measurable, actionable, and crystal clear. Then pay attention to what happens throughout your week. Notice how much easier decisions become when you know exactly what you’re working toward. Experience the difference that clarity creates. Remember, vague goals create vague results. Specific goals create specific actions—and specific actions create extraordinary transformations. Thank you so much for listening to The Empowerment Podcast with Coach Stephanie Carrodegua. If this episode resonated with you, please share it with someone who could use a little more clarity in their life. Follow me on Instagram @coachstephaniecarrodegua for more fitness, mindset, and empowerment content. Until next time, stay empowered, stay intentional, and keep becoming the strongest version of yourself—one clear goal at a time.

Your future self will thank you ✨

Step Into Your Future Self Who you become tomorrow is shaped by the choices you make today. The future version of you—the one who is stronger, healthier, more confident, more successful—isn’t waiting for motivation to magically appear. That version of you has built habits, routines, and beliefs that support the life they want. So ask yourself: What does your future self do that you’re not doing today? Do they wake up with intention? Do they prioritize movement? Do they fuel their body instead of punishing it? Do they protect their peace, set boundaries, read, learn, save money, or follow through on promises they make to themselves? Your future self isn’t extraordinary because of one big moment. They’re extraordinary because of thousands of small decisions repeated consistently over time. Every choice is casting a vote for the person you’re becoming. You don’t have to wait until you lose the weight, earn the promotion, start the business, or finally feel confident. Start acting like that version of yourself today. Walk like them. Think like them. Speak like them. Honor your commitments the way they would. The beautiful part is this: every small action compounds. One workout. One healthy meal. One difficult conversation. One page read. One early morning. These actions may seem insignificant on their own, but together they build the life you’re dreaming about. Remember, success isn’t about becoming someone completely different. It’s about uncovering the person you’ve always been capable of becoming. Your future self is cheering you on with every decision you make today. Take one step. Then another. Before long, you’ll realize you didn’t just reach your future—you became it. 💭 This Week’s Challenge Write down three habits your future self has. Then commit to practicing just one of them every day this week. Small, consistent actions create extraordinary transformations. “The future depends on what you do today.” — Mahatma Gandhi Thank you so much for listening to Coach Stephanie: The Empowerment Podcast. If this episode inspired you, please share it with someone who needs the reminder that their future starts today. Please follow me on Instagram: @coachstephaniecarrodegua Until next time, keep showing up, keep believing in yourself, and keep stepping into the person you’re becoming. Your future self is waiting—and they’re going to thank you.
