    41. Career Congregation feat. Rachel Black, Marketing & Events Professional: Career Transitions, Creative Exploration & Trusting Intuition

Career Congregation is your weekly gathering for all things career. A space to explore the highs, the lows, and the real stories of people navigating work, identity and purpose in an ever changing world. Hosted by Therapist and Coach Meghan Fitzpatrick, each episode offers grounded conversation and perspective for reclaiming confidence, direction and inspiration in your working life. In this week’s episode, Meghan is joined by her long-time friend, Rachel Black, a marketing and events professional currently navigating a period of career transition after years working across the corporate advertising and events world in Australia. Rach shares her experience building a career in Sydney’s fast-paced media and marketing industry and the role that supportive managers played in helping her grow professionally, particularly when she struggled to see her own strengths. The conversation reflects on how often others recognise our capabilities long before we do ourselves. Throughout the conversation, Rach and Meghan talk openly about career transitions, intuition, and the uncertainty that can arise when something that looks right on paper simply does not feel right internally. They explore the challenge of stepping away from security, the pressure to follow logical career paths, and the importance of listening to your own signals when making major life decisions. Throughout the conversation, Rachel’s story highlights how careers rarely follow a straight line. Her journey moves between corporate work, travel, creative study, freelance work and major relocations. It is a reminder that career development is often shaped by curiosity, experimentation and the willingness to change direction when something no longer fits. This episode explores work identity, corporate culture, creativity, and what it means to sit in a period of transition while learning to trust your intuition about what comes next. 40. Career Congregation: Launching my 6 Week Career Coaching Cohorts

Career Congregation is your weekly gathering for all things career, a space to explore the highs, the lows, and the realities of navigating work in an ever changing world. Hosted by Therapist and Coach Meghan Fitzpatrick, the podcast offers grounded perspective and practical encouragement for those reassessing direction, identity, and fulfilment in their working lives. In this solo episode, Meghan announces the launch of her new 6 Week Career Coaching Cohorts, beginning Thursday March 5th. These small group programmes are designed for people in transition, who feel stuck, or are who are unsure of their next professional move. Whether looking to change roles, returning to work after time out, starting something new, or regaining confidence after a difficult period. Meghan explains why she is reintroducing group coaching now, after a year of focusing on the podcast and 1:1 work. Seeing how many people are navigating uncertainty, burnout, redundancy, relocation, or career dissatisfaction, she wanted to create something practical, structured, and accessible that also offers community. Each cohort is intentionally limited to six people to allow meaningful discussion, accountability, and space for individual goals within a shared framework. Across the six weeks, participants will follow a clear structure while working on personalised actions that move them forward. This may include clarifying direction, updating a CV or LinkedIn, exploring new industries, building confidence, or taking the first steps towards freelance or business ideas. The emphasis is on momentum, consistency, realistic progress and community support. Meghan also reflects on the importance of managing external noise, protecting time and energy, and reconnecting with the foundational habits that support decision making and resilience during periods of change. The episode is both an invitation to join the cohorts and a reminder that career transitions rarely happen in isolation. Having structure and the right environment and support can make the process far less daunting. Links to sign up for the cohorts are below. Only six places are available in each group. 9AM GMT Cohort: https://app.paperbell.com/checkout/packages/20360912:45PM GMT Cohort: https://app.paperbell.com/checkout/packages/2033556:30PM GMT Cohort: https://app.paperbell.com/checkout/packages/203345 WORK WITH MEGHAN: If you are interested in working with Meghan 1:1, you can book an intro call with her here: https://app.paperbell.com/checkout/packages/166602 GUEST SUBMISSIONS: If you think you know someone who would make a great guest, feel free to email Meghan at hello@meghanfitzpatrick.com SUPPORT THE SHOW: If you’d like to support the show and the work of Career Congregation, you can do so here: https://ko-fi.com/meghanfitzpatrick Keywords:Career, Coaching, Guide, Mentor, Personal development, Purpose, Fulfilling work, Career change, Career transition, Redundancy, Motivation, Authentic career paths, Burnout, Life after burnout, Money, Money stories, Solopreneur, Freelance, Remote working, Digital nomad © Copyright Meghan Fitzpatrick 2026

Career Congregation is your weekly gathering for all things career, a space to explore the highs, the lows, and the incredible stories of people who have navigated career challenges, stepped through fear, and found success and growth on the other side. Hosted by Therapist and Coach Meghan Fitzpatrick, each episode offers real-life inspiration for reclaiming confidence and direction in your work. In this week’s episode, Meghan is joined once again by her friend Chris Holt, Nutritional Coach and Founder of Basic AF Protein, for a catch up on business growth, personal milestones and what it really takes to build something from the ground up. Chris shares the journey of launching Basic AF Protein in a crowded wellness and supplement market. He talks about the practical realities behind sourcing, manufacturing, branding and distribution, and why cutting through industry noise requires clarity, consistency and a strong sense of purpose. There is a candid conversation about risk, self belief and the mental stamina required to move from coaching into product based entrepreneurship. The conversation also turns to Chris’s experience of being adopted and the documentary project he is developing to explore that story. He speaks about tracing his own history, the questions that emerge over time, and the decision to document that process. It is a grounded discussion about identity, personal narrative and the complexity of revisiting your beginnings as an adult. This episode is a direct and honest look at entrepreneurship, adoption, storytelling and the ongoing process of building something meaningful while still figuring parts of yourself out. 37. Career Congregation with Meghan Fitzpatrick, Therapist & Coach: Identity, Expat Life and Building a Life & Career Across Borders

Career Congregation is your weekly gathering for all things career, a space to explore the highs, the lows, and the real stories of people navigating change, uncertainty and growth in their working lives. Hosted by Therapist and Coach Meghan Fitzpatrick, each episode offers insights, perspective and real life examples of people doing amazing things in their careers. This podcast is for anyone questioning their career direction or what comes next. In this solo episode, podcast host, Meghan reflects on a lifetime shaped by living across borders and how being an expat from a young age has influenced her identity, career, relationships and sense of home. Drawing on her own experience as a third culture kid (TCK), digital nomad and business owner, she explores what it really means to build a life and career without a single fixed base. Meghan shares candidly about her current pivot, spending time between Ireland and Portugal, setting up her business within the EU, and navigating the emotional and logistical realities of cross border living. She speaks openly about the nervous system impact of repeated moves, letting go of London after more than a decade, and the quiet grief that can accompany change even when it is chosen. The episode explores the less talked about sides of expat life. Loneliness, relational strain, identity confusion and the repeated experience of starting over. Meghan reflects on growing up in international schools, the constant cycle of arrivals and goodbyes, and how this environment builds resilience, adaptability and social confidence while also leaving a lasting imprint. This conversation is both personal and practical. Meghan connects her lived experience to her work as a therapist and coach, explaining why supporting people through major transitions, relocations and identity shifts has become a core focus of her practice. She offers reassurance to anyone feeling unsettled, ungrounded or unsure during a period of change, and reframes adaptability as a skill that can be developed rather than a personality trait you either have or do not. This episode is for anyone navigating a move, a career pivot, life abroad, or the in between space where the old life no longer fits and the new one is still forming. It is a reminder that there is no single right way to build a life, and that stability can be internal, even when everything else is in motion. Raised in a small Irish town with a deep curiosity about the wider world, Olaide’s journey is shaped by travel, cultural exchange and a refusal to stay in one lane. From working in student leadership and community initiatives to building a life overseas, she talks about how early exposure to different cultures expanded her sense of what was possible, both personally and professionally. The conversation explores her unexpected path into modelling and teaching while living in Taiwan, and how those experiences later influenced her move into the skincare industry. 35. Career Congregation feat. Deborah Craig, Hypnotherapist, Author & Retreat Host: Solopreneurship, Nervous System Regulation & Creating Space to Think

In this episode, Meghan is joined by Deborah Craig, Hypnotherapist, Author, and Retreat Host. Recorded in person from the Algarve in Portugal, this conversation is an honest and reflective exploration of what it really means to work alone, live nomadically, and build a business that supports your nervous system rather than constantly overriding it. Meghan and Deborah share the story behind their decision to spend January living and working together, for what they're now calling “mastermind month”, and how stepping away from their usual environments created unexpected clarity, momentum, and focus. They talk openly about isolation in self-employment, the difference between productive solitude and dysregulating loneliness. The conversation explores the impact of environment on decision-making, creativity, and wellbeing, particularly for entrepreneurs, freelancers, remote workers, and digital nomads. Deborah reflects on how extended stays in one place allowed her to complete her book, host retreats, and move her business forward with greater ease, while Meghan shares insights from recent periods of instability, travel fatigue, and learning the cost of cutting corners when it comes to comfort and workspace. Together, they discuss nervous system regulation, the hidden toll of constant movement, the pressure to rush transitions, and why creating space, physically and mentally, is essential for sustainable work. This episode offers grounded wisdom on pacing yourself, trusting timing, and building a working life that feels supportive rather than relentlessly demanding. This conversation is for anyone working solo who has ever felt isolated, overstretched, or unsure whether they are doing things “the right way”. It is a reminder that clarity often comes from stillness, that alignment shows up when conditions are right, and that how you live directly shapes how you work. 34. Career Congregation feat. Victoria Bird, Supermum & Co-Host of Fine-ish Podcast: Motherhood, Identity Shifts & Building Work That Fits Your Life

Career Congregation is your weekly gathering for all things career, a space to explore the highs, the lows, and the real stories of people navigating work, identity and purpose in an ever changing world. Hosted by Therapist and Coach Meghan Fitzpatrick, each episode offers grounded conversation and perspective for reclaiming confidence and direction in your working life. In this episode, Meghan is joined by Victoria Bird, Supermum, Marketer and Co-host of the Fine-ish Podcast. Victoria is also one of Meghan’s long-time friends, making this conversation both deeply personal and refreshingly honest. Victoria shares her winding career journey, from full-time travel blogging and freelance work to becoming a stay-at-home parent, navigating health challenges, loss, divorce and the complex identity shifts that come with long periods away from paid work. Now at a new crossroads, with both children at school, she reflects on what it really means to return to work in midlife, when priorities, capacity and values have fundamentally changed. The conversation explores the pressure many parents feel to do it all, the emotional toll of survival mode decision-making, and the nervous system impact of taking work that looks good on paper but feels wrong in the body. Victoria speaks candidly about accepting a contract role out of financial necessity, realising quickly it was a poor fit, and the clarity that came from walking away even when it felt risky. Together, Meghan and Victoria unpack non-negotiables, boundaries, flexible work, multi-stream income and why traditional full-time employment no longer works for everyone. They discuss how motherhood builds transferable skills, why networking is often more valuable than job ads, and how creative outlets can coexist with paid work while a bigger picture takes shape. Meghan also shares upcoming plans for Career Congregation, including the launch of community networking calls and a structured career course designed to support people navigating career uncertainty, transitions and rebuilding work on their own terms. More details will be shared soon. This episode is an exploration of career reinvention, maternal identity, nervous system regulation, values-led decision-making and building a working life that fits the season you are actually in, not the one you are told you should be in.
