    The Orphan Mindset: How to Find Freedom in God's Love | Identity in Christ Ep. 3

    Send us Fan Mail **Have you ever felt rejected, abandoned, unwanted, or like you were never good enough?** What happens when the pain of childhood rejection follows you into adulthood, shaping your relationships, your decisions, and even how you see yourself? In Episode 3 of our **Identity in Christ** series, we confront what is often called an *orphan mindset*—a pattern of thinking rooted in rejection, abandonment, insecurity, and the constant need to earn love and acceptance. We begin with a powerful excerpt from my conversation with **Mark Richard**, who shares a heartbreaking childhood experience of feeling rejected by his father at just five years old. I also open up about my own childhood—growing up with an absent father, experiencing rejection and painful circumstances, and believing the lie that I had to earn love and acceptance. But praise God, **our past does not have to define our identity!** In this episode, we examine seven signs of an orphan mindset, including: 1. Fear of rejection and abandonment 2. Constantly seeking approval and validation 3. Comparison, jealousy, and competition 4. Striving to earn love and acceptance 5. Difficulty trusting others 6. Feeling unworthy, unwanted, or unloved 7. Living in fear instead of assurance More importantly, we turn to the truth of God's Word to discover what it means to be loved, chosen, and adopted into God's family through Jesus Christ. **Romans 8:15 reminds us that we have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba, Father."** 🙏 **A SPECIAL MOMENT OF SALVATION** Near the end of this episode, I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to share the Gospel and lead a prayer of repentance and surrender to Jesus Christ. Because true freedom begins with Jesus Christ. Through repentance and faith in Him, we are reconciled to God and welcomed into His family.     Send us Fan Mail **The enemy wants you to believe his lies so you will forget who God says you are!** He reminds you of your past, accuses you of your failures, and whispers that you're unworthy, rejected, or too far gone. But here's the truth: **Satan does not have the authority to define you.     Before You Were Born, God Knew You | Identity in Christ Ep. 1

    Send us Fan Mail Before you were born, God already knew you. So why are you allowing the world to define who you are? In this first episode of our new series, Identity in Jesus Christ, we go back to the very beginning—even before the womb—to discover what Scripture reveals about God's knowledge of us, His purpose, and the value of human life. Through Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 22:10, Psalm 139, and other biblical accounts, we examine how God knew and called individuals before they were born. I also share a deeply personal testimony about growing up believing that my worth depended on my accomplishments, and how the pressure to perform nearly destroyed me at just 14 years old. But this episode goes even deeper. We confront the spiritual battle surrounding identity, the sanctity of life in the womb, and the biblical truth about abortion. Most importantly, we proclaim the hope of the gospel: No sin is beyond the forgiveness and redemption available through Jesus Christ to those who repent and turn to Him.     I Used to Celebrate Halloween... Until the Holy Spirit Convicted Me

    Send us Fan Mail I used to celebrate Halloween. I watched horror movies, dressed up, went trick-or-treating with my family, and for years I saw nothing wrong with it. Until the Holy Spirit began convicting me through the Word of God. This episode isn't about fear, legalism, or condemning Christians who participate in Halloween.  It's about going back to Scripture and asking an important question: As followers of Jesus who have been called out of darkness and into His light, should we participate in something that normalizes the very darkness God's Word tells us to stay away from? Growing up in the Philippines, folklore, superstition, spirits, mythical creatures, and the supernatural were familiar to me. What seemed harmless eventually fueled a fascination with horror movies, witchcraft and the occult, and ultimately led me to consult a palm reader. At the time, I didn't understand that I was crossing spiritual boundaries.     But God's Word is clear about divination, sorcery, witchcraft, mediums, consulting the dead, spiritual compromise, and our calling to holiness. In this episode, we open the Bible and examine Deuteronomy 18:9–13, 1 Samuel 28:5–19, 1 Corinthians 10:20–21, 2 Corinthians 6:14–17, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Ephesians 5:8–11, Proverbs 26:11, Romans 12:2, Romans 14, Philippians 4:8, Luke 9:23 and James 4:7. These are the Scriptures that shaped the message I shared.    “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” — Ephesians 5:8 I can't make this decision for you. My prayer is simply that you won't allow culture, tradition, entertainment—or even me—to make it for you. Open your Bible. Pray. Ask the Holy Spirit. Then ask yourself: Is it honorable? Is it pure? Is it commendable? Does it draw me closer to Christ? Does my participation glorify Jesus? Is it pleasing to the Lord? As for me, I know what Jesus has delivered me from, and I cannot return to what He has set me free from. We are called to be children of light. Let's not glorify darkness.  Let's glorify Jesus.     When Secret Sin Silences Conviction | The Danger of Deliberate Sin

What happens when we ignore the conviction of the Holy Spirit for so long that our hearts become comfortable with what once convicted us?  In this episode of The Anointed Life, we’re talking about the danger of secret sin, deliberate sin, and what can happen when we continually ignore the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Using a current case involving people who served publicly in church as a starting point, we’ll turn to Scripture and examine the lives of Samson, David, Judas, Ananias and Sapphira, Saul, and Solomon. These were people who were close to the things of God, and some were even chosen and anointed by God, yet their hidden compromises had devastating consequences.  Pasted text This episode isn't about pointing fingers. It's a warning for all of us to examine our own hearts. Have we become comfortable with something God has been convicting us about? Are we hiding sin while appearing faithful on the outside? Have we mistaken God's grace for permission to continue living however we want? Nothing is hidden from God.     No One Is Too Far Gone From God’s Mercy | Book of Jonah Study

    Send us Fan Mail Have you ever looked at someone who seems so far from God and wondered, “Will they ever believe? Are they too far gone?” In this episode of The Anointed Life, we study the Book of Jonah and a powerful truth: No one is too far gone from God’s mercy. Jonah’s story shows us just how great the compassion, mercy, and grace of God truly are. The sailors who were crying out to other gods came to fear the true God. The people of Nineveh humbled themselves and repented. And even when Jonah struggled with God showing mercy to people he believed deserved judgment, God reminded him of His compassion for the lost. We also look at the Prodigal Son and the father who ran to welcome his lost son home. God’s compassion, mercy, and grace are greater than we can fathom. We did not earn His mercy, yet He gave it to us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. And if God has shown us such incredible grace, we should extend that same grace and compassion to others. Second Peter 3:9 reminds us that God is patient, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance. So who have you stopped praying for? Who have you quietly decided will never change? Don’t give up on them. Jesus gave us the Great Commission to go and make disciples. There are people around us who desperately need to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. Pray for the lost. Share your testimony. Share the Gospel. Invite someone to church. Open the Bible with them. Tell someone about Jesus. Don’t measure your obedience by their immediate response. Conviction comes from the Holy Spirit. Our responsibility is to go and faithfully proclaim the Gospel. We cannot decide for someone else that they will never believe. We cannot disqualify someone from hearing about Jesus because we think they are too far gone. The harvest is plentiful. Let us be faithful laborers. Go. Make disciples. Spread the Gospel. Tell someone about Jesus.     4 Signs You’re Not Yet a Mature Christian | Growing From Spiritual Infancy to Maturity

    Send us Fan Mail What does it really mean to be a Christian? In a culture where Christianity can become attached to personalities, politics, celebrities, social media, and even personal preferences, we need to return to the only standard that truly matters: Jesus Christ and the Word of God. In this episode of The Anointed Life, we open our Bibles and examine what Scripture teaches about spiritual maturity. We’ll talk about four signs that a believer may not yet be mature in the faith: • The carnal or worldly Christian • The lukewarm Christian • The defeated Christian • The compromised Christian But this message is not about condemnation. Spiritual maturity does not happen overnight. Sanctification is a process, and I share parts of my own journey—from seasons of being worldly, lukewarm, and unsure of my identity in Christ to learning what it means to surrender more and more of my life to Jesus. We also examine the biblical marks of a maturing follower of Christ: a hunger for the Word of God, denying the flesh, sensitivity to the conviction of the Holy Spirit, living by the Spirit, making prayer our first response, and knowing our identity, purpose, authority, and victory in Jesus. Christianity is not a brand. It is not a trend. And our faith should never be defined by a celebrity, influencer, political figure, pastor, or anyone else. We follow Jesus. The question for each of us is: **Am I growing? Am I surrendering?     Are You Ready to Lose Your Life for Jesus? | The Cost of Following Christ

    Send us Fan Mail Are you ready to lose your life for Jesus? It’s an uncomfortable question—but it’s one every follower of Christ should be willing to ask. Around the world, more than 388 million Christians face high levels of persecution and discrimination because of their faith. In places like North Korea, Somalia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iran, China, and other nations, following Jesus can mean rejection, imprisonment, violence, or even death. Yet for many of us who have the freedom to worship, read our Bibles, and openly speak the name of Jesus, the greater danger may be complacency. In this episode of The Anointed Life, Blanche challenges believers to examine what it truly means to follow Christ. Paul declared in Philippians 1:21, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” That wasn't simply a beautiful statement—it reflected a life completely surrendered to Jesus. Jesus Himself warned us that discipleship would come at a cost: Deny yourself. Take up your cross. Follow Me. So what happens when following Jesus costs us our comfort? Our reputation? Our relationships? Our freedom? What if one day it costs us our very lives? In this episode, we explore: • The reality of Christian persecution around the world • What “to live is Christ and to die is gain” truly means • Why our citizenship in heaven changes the way we view death • Jesus' warning about persecution and the coming birth pains • The cost of denying ourselves and carrying our cross • Why fear of people should never silence the truth of God's Word • How Peter and John responded when they were threatened for preaching Jesus • Why biblical boldness comes through the Holy Spirit—not our own strength • How Christians can stand firm and speak the truth in love, even when it is unpopular In Acts 4, when Peter and John were threatened and commanded to stop speaking about Jesus, they didn't pray for an easier life. They prayed for boldness. And after they prayed, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and continued speaking the Word of God boldly. That same Holy Spirit empowers believers today. Following Jesus was never promised to be easy. Jesus told us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. He warned that His followers would face hatred and persecution—and He called us to remain faithful to the end. So ask yourself: Am I ready to lose my reputation for Jesus? Am I willing to be rejected for Jesus? Am I willing to speak when the world tells me to be silent? And ultimately… am I ready to lose my life for Jesus? This is not a message meant to produce fear. It is a call to boldness, surrender, perseverance, and wholehearted discipleship. We don't stand in our own strength. “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.” — Zechariah 4:6 If this episode challenges or encourages you, share it with another believer.
