The Boy Voldemort Chose (OotP Ch 37)

One chapter. A lifetime of answers. After the devastating events at the Department of Mysteries, Harry returns to Dumbledore’s office overwhelmed by grief, guilt, and anger. But this time, Dumbledore finally stops holding back. We break down why Dumbledore avoided Harry all year, how Voldemort’s trap really worked, the truth behind Harry’s protection at the Dursleys, Snape’s surprising role in trying to help—and, finally, the Lost Prophecy itself. Because Harry wasn’t the only child it could have described. Neville Longbottom could have been the one. So why Harry? Because Voldemort chose him. And in trying to destroy the person he feared, he may have helped create him. One chapter remains in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Wands down, hearts full. 🔮 Join the HonestVerse Discord A cozy corner of the wizarding world (and beyond) where we talk Harry Potter, Marvel, Twitch streams, comfort rewatches, and creative life — with real conversation and good vibes only.Choose your roles (Magic Muggle, Marvel Maniac, Twitch Crew), jump into the chat, and come hang out with the community between episodes. 👉 https://discord.com/invite/DckvDCA9NS Linktree Thoughts/theories? What Power Reveals (OotP Ch. 27 & 28)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Chapters 27 and 28 push Hogwarts past its breaking point. Firenze brings a warning from the stars—and a far more personal warning for Hagrid—before Marietta’s betrayal exposes the D.A. With Harry facing expulsion, Dumbledore takes responsibility, refuses to come quietly, and reminds the Ministry exactly who it has challenged. But with Dolores Umbridge installed as headmistress, power spreads to the Inquisitorial Squad. Fred and George answer with glorious chaos, Harry’s visions of the Department of Mysteries deepen, his fragile romance with Cho collapses, and one reckless trip into Snape’s Pensieve changes everything he believed about James Potter. Eric breaks down “The Centaur and the Sneak” and “Snape’s Worst Memory,” asking what people reveal about themselves when they finally possess the power to get away with anything. The Truth They Tried to Bury (OotP Ch. 25 & 26)

Ten Death Eaters have escaped from Azkaban—including Bellatrix Lestrange—and the Ministry responds by blaming Sirius Black and burying the truth even deeper. As Harry struggles with his increasingly powerful connection to Voldemort, Hermione launches a brilliant counterattack: forcing Rita Skeeter to tell Harry’s story in The Quibbler. Naturally, Umbridge’s attempt to ban the interview only guarantees that everyone at Hogwarts reads it. We also endure Harry’s spectacularly disastrous Valentine’s Day date, uncover the truth behind Broderick Bode’s murder, glimpse painful memories from Snape’s past, and watch Dumbledore calmly remind Umbridge that her authority still has limits. The Door Swings Both Ways (OotP Ch. 23 & 24)

Harry fears that he may be Voldemort’s weapon—but Ginny is the one person who knows what true possession feels like. Christmas at Grimmauld Place leads to St. Mungo’s closed ward, where Gilderoy Lockhart remains strangely himself and Neville’s hidden family story delivers one of the most heartbreaking moments of the series so far. Then Kreacher returns with a suspicious story, Snape and Sirius nearly come to blows, and Harry begins studying Occlumency. As Snape tears through Harry’s memories, the locked corridor from his dreams finally gains a real-world location—and Voldemort receives his happiest news in fourteen years. Mr. Honest reacts to “Christmas on the Closed Ward” and “Occlumency,” Chapters 23 and 24 of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This episode contains spoilers through Chapter 24 only.
