    Power Place pt2

    What do you do when God doesn't answer the prayer you've been desperately praying? How do you remain in your God-appointed place when disappointment, loss, and unanswered questions threaten to pull you away? In this episode of Woman in the Word, we continue our series, Power Place, by looking at the life of David and the prayers that marked both his victories and his deepest sorrows. In 2 Samuel, David sought God's direction about where he should live and lead, demonstrating that the place of power is always found in obedience to God's voice. Later, in 2 Samuel 12, David poured out his heart, pleading for God's mercy and grace for his sick child. When God did not grant David's request, David faced a defining choice: remain in grief or rise up and continue walking with God. David chose faith, and God brought restoration, hope, and purpose beyond his pain. We'll also look to Jesus on the cross in Luke 23, who prayed for those who crucified Him, saying, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." Even in unimaginable suffering, Jesus remained in His power place—submission to the Father's will and love for His enemies. Finally, we'll examine Stephen in Acts 7, who, while being stoned to death, prayed that his attackers would not be charged with their sin. Like Jesus, Stephen demonstrated that true spiritual power is not found in controlling circumstances but in surrendering fully to God. Join us as we discover that the power place is not only where God answers our prayers, but also where we trust Him when He doesn't. It's the place where forgiveness triumphs over bitterness, obedience over despair, and restoration over loss.     Die Empty...Die Full

    Die Empty…Die Full. In this episode, we explore what it means to truly finish well—to pour out every gift, every calling, every ounce of purpose placed inside of us. Looking at the lives of David, Jesus, and Stephen, we see a powerful pattern: they did not leave this world holding back. They lived fully surrendered, fully spent, and fully aligned with God’s will. David fulfilled God’s purpose in his generation. Jesus declared, “It is finished,” having completed everything He was sent to do. Stephen, even in the face of death, stood full of faith, full of the Spirit, and full of forgiveness. None of them died clinging to untapped potential—they died empty of self, yet full of God. This episode is a call to live with intention and urgency: to stop delaying what God has placed in you, to stop shrinking back, and to stop carrying gifts to the grave that were meant to impact the world.     Green Means GO

    Green means go—but how often do we sit at the light anyway? In this episode of Woman in the Word, we’re talking about what it really looks like to respond when God speaks. So often, we pray for direction, clarity, and confirmation… but when the answer comes, hesitation creeps in. We second-guess, overanalyze, or stall out completely. But throughout Scripture, when God speaks, movement follows. Not perfect plans. Not full understanding. Just obedience.     Follow ME

    In this episode, we explore the powerful moment on the shore between Jesus Christ and Peter the Apostle in John 21—a passage marked by restoration, calling, and clarity. After His resurrection, Jesus meets His disciples by the sea and shares a meal with them. In a deeply personal exchange, He asks Peter three times, “Do you love Me?”—mirroring Peter’s earlier denial and offering him a path to restoration. With each response, Jesus responds with purpose: “Feed My sheep,” reaffirming Peter’s role and calling. The conversation culminates in a simple yet profound command: “Follow Me.” It is both an invitation and a challenge—one that calls for trust, obedience, and a willingness to let go of comparison. When Peter turns his attention to others, Jesus redirects him: “What is that to you? You follow Me.” This episode unpacks the meaning of that call, exploring themes of grace after failure, renewed purpose, and the cost of true discipleship.
