Both ordinary and extraordinary. He wanted peace. She wanted connection. Ordinary because they got tangled up in the same cycle so many find themselves stuck in – what we call the PEACE – CONNECTION STANDOFF. After years of Samuel feeling punished and paralyzed because of his passivity, and years of Jeanna trying to connect but coming off as controlling and critical, they got to their breaking point. They are extraordinary, too, because they were courageous enough to try “one more thing” and do the work inside Turnaround Marriage to rebuild their marriage.
