    Captain Jack Turk finally gets a break in his investigation after examining documents recovered from a KGB agent. The papers reveal that the surveillance report on him was written the same day and include instructions to report to a mysterious woman named Anastasia at a nearby apartment complex. With few leads remaining and Soviet authorities already searching for him, Turk decides to follow the trail and learn who Anastasia is and how she fits into the growing conspiracy surrounding The Raven. Soviet troops unexpectedly search Turk’s safe house, forcing him into hiding before he narrowly slips away. Reaching the apartment complex, he carefully investigates the location and eventually breaks into Anastasia’s apartment. Instead of finding answers, he walks directly into a trap. Anastasia reveals that she knows exactly who he is, why he is in Soviet territory, and what mission brought him to Volkov Station.     Captain Jack Turk’s mission inside Soviet territory takes an unexpected turn in Episode 2 of Tiny Spies. After surviving his first night inside Volkov Station and arranging a meeting through a mysterious shopkeeper, Turk returns at dusk expecting to finally make contact with the resistance operative known as The Raven. Instead, he finds only silence. The meeting place is deserted, the old woman never arrives, and the strange lack of military activity raises more questions than answers. As Turk attempts to return to his safe house, he discovers he is being followed through the dark streets of the village. A tense cat-and-mouse pursuit leads to a confrontation in a narrow alley, where Turk overpowers his pursuer and uncovers a disturbing truth. The man is KGB, carrying orders to identify and capture a suspicious newcomer matching Turk’s description. Somehow the authorities already know he is in the village. Now Turk must determine who betrayed him, why the KGB is searching for him, and whether The Raven was ever real to begin with. Episode 1 begins the Cold War solo campaign of Captain Jack Turk, a Green Beret Special Forces operative dropped behind Soviet lines in 1986. Sent into the isolated village of Volkov Station, Turk must locate a missing resistance contact known only as “The Raven,” who may possess critical intelligence connected to Soviet missile movements. Using the Tiny Spies RPG alongside the Mythic Game Master Emulator, the episode follows Turk as he sneaks through snowy backroads, avoids Soviet patrols, searches abandoned homes for supplies, and slowly works his way into the occupied village. Tension builds as he realizes the town may be watching him more closely than expected, and a mysterious old woman offers him a possible lead that could change the mission entirely. We go through the Player Book, Referee Book, Monsters Book, Spells & Magic, the dice, character sheets, and talk about why Swords & Wizardry still stands as one of the best OSR versions of classic D&D. I also talk about the difference between White Box and Swords & Wizardry Complete, why I think this version hits the sweet spot for old school gaming, and why it works so well for solo roleplaying and traditional campaigns alike.
