The Lion & the Deathless Dark, Ch. 35-59, It Ends With Me

At this point, we may need to rename the podcast Septimus Remedy. 🩸😂 Whit & Kenz are back in book therapy for chapters 35–59 of The Lion & the Deathless Dark by Carissa Broadbent, and somehow, every new Septimus reveal gives us approximately 47 more things to discuss. Kenzi’s remedy explores the idea that we rarely see the entire picture of who someone is. We make judgments based on the pieces we can see, but there are histories, motivations, relationships, and experiences beneath the surface that can completely change our understanding of a person. And if anyone was designed to prove that point, it’s Septimus. Whitney’s remedy looks at how loving someone can motivate us to make the world better. Not just for them, but for the people who come after us. Sometimes love gives us a reason to fight for a future we may never get to experience ourselves. 🖤 This week’s affirmation: It Ends With Me.  There’s also plenty of fangirling over everyone’s favorite sentient sword, Zefiah, because obviously she deserves her own moment. ⚔️ And if you’ve read the other Crowns of Nyaxia books, do NOT skip Spoiler Central. The connections are connecting, the pieces are falling into place, and we have a LOT to discuss. 👀 🎧 Come to book therapy with us for another very Septimus-inspired session. Grab your copy, press play, and join Whit & Kenz as we unpack chapters 35–59! The Lion & the Deathless Dark, Ch. 1-34, Use Your Edge

THE DAY HAS FINALLY COME. 🩸📚 After all those episodes of Septimus Watch, Whit & Kenz are finally diving into The Lion & the Deathless Dark by Carissa Broadbent! And more importantly, it’s officially time to talk about Whitney’s favorite morally gray vampire: SEPTIMUS. And book therapy is in FULL swing. Kenzi’s remedy explores how fate isn’t always changed through one grand, heroic gesture. Sometimes it’s the small moments, the seemingly insignificant choices, and the tiny steps we take over time that eventually add up to something much bigger. Whitney, meanwhile, has been completely wooed by Seppy reading to Kyrene. Because apparently the ultimate combination of book therapy and couples therapy is noticing what brings someone you love a little peace in this crazy life. Then quietly giving them more of it. 🥹📖 Of course, we have to talk about Erekkus because…Carissa…WHY?!? We would like to file a formal complaint. ✨ This week’s affirmation: Use Your Edge. And if you’re caught up on the Crowns of Nyaxia series, stick around for Spoiler Central. We’re making connections to previous books, revisiting some very interesting Septimus moments, and becoming increasingly convinced of one thing: Septimus is the ultimate mastermind. 👀 So grab your copy, settle in, and come to book therapy with us. Whether you’ve been on Septimus Watch from the beginning or you’re just now discovering what all the Seppy fuss is about, we want you in this conversation. 🎧 Press play and join Whit & Kenz for the beginning of Seppy season.  Instagram: @RomantasyRemedy  Tik Tok:  @RomantasyRemedy Spotify Playlist: Lion Playlist Printable Affirmation: Use Your Edge

Romantasy Roundtable: A Court of Thorns & Roses

It’s finally here! Our first-ever Romantasy Roundtable! 🖤✨ Whit & Kenz are joined by three bookstagram besties for a group chat all about A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. With Book 6 on the horizon this October, there’s no better time to return to the series that introduced so many of us to romantasy. This isn’t a recap; it’s a celebration of the story that started it all. Alex shares how Feyre’s resilience and determination inspired her personally. Jada explores one of the novel’s most powerful ideas: love in all its forms. Romantic, familial, sacrificial, and found. Justina offers a perspective every book-loving mama will appreciate as she reflects on how mothers can see themselves in Feyre’s journey and the weight of carrying others through impossible circumstances. Of course, no ACOTAR discussion would be complete without a few entertaining side quests. Expect plenty of Lucien fangirling, some passionate Azriel shipping, a healthy dose of Mor speculation, and all the delightful rabbit trails that happen when fantasy readers gather around the same table. It was fun. It was healing. It was everything we hoped our first Roundtable would be. After you listen, be sure to follow these incredible ladies on Instagram and share this episode with your fellow ACOTAR fans. Because book therapy is even better when everyone joins the conversation. 🦇📚✨ Instagram:  @RomantasyRemedy  @alexsaysread @jada.d.reads @justinasbookrealm

Ep 3 The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk: Chapters 61-89

It’s the end of another Crowns of Nyaxia journey, and we are definitely feeling it. 🖤 In this final episode covering The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk by Carissa Broadbent, Whit & Kenz dive into chapters 61–89, sharing the moments that became our book therapy and wrapping up Mische’s unforgettable story. For Kenzi, it’s all about the beautifully messy, deeply relatable relationships that make this book so compelling. Friends, mentors, allies, and enemies; this story reminds us that the people in our lives can shape us, challenge us, and ultimately help define who we become. For Whitney, the standout moment is watching Mische forge her own fate and finally become the queen we always knew she could be. We talk about how life’s unexpected hardships can refine us, preparing us for purposes we never could have imagined. ✨ This week’s affirmation: It’s not over. To close out our coverage, we head to Spoiler Central to connect the dots across the Crowns of Nyaxia. We spend extra time unpacking the epilogue and discussing how it sets the stage for The Lion and the Deathless Dark, which releases in less than a month. If you’re caught up on the series, you won’t want to miss the theories and excitement for what’s coming next. Thank you for joining us throughout our journey through The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk. We hope these episodes have been as therapeutic for you as they were for us. If you enjoyed this episode, please listen, rate, follow, and share Romantasy Remedy with a fellow romantasy reader. Your support helps us continue celebrating the stories that remind us fantasy is about so much more than magic and romance. 📚🩸 Instagram: @RomantasyRemedy Tik Tok: @RomantasyRemedy Spotify Playlist: Fallen Playlist Printable Affirmation: It’s Not Over
