Meet the DreamCatchers: Marissa & Jamie, the Fairy Job Mothers Every Young Professional Needs!

We spend years helping our kids get into college, and then suddenly they’re expected to know how to network, build a LinkedIn profile, find internships, interview with confidence, and somehow land a job. 😳  It’s kind of wild when you think about it. That’s why I loved talking with sisters Jamie and Marissa of The Dream Catchers. They’re part career coaches, part recruiters, part cheerleaders, a little bit therapists, and certainly “fairy job mothers!” Drawing on years of experience in recruiting and HR, they help students and recent graduates bridge the gap between college and career with confidence, strategy, and a lot less stress! From landing the internship that can lead to a dream job to making meaningful connections and standing out in a crowded job market, they share the practical advice every young adult needs, but rarely gets. What I loved most about this conversation wasn’t just their expertise. It was THEM. Jamie and Marissa have a warmth, humor, and genuine passion for helping young people succeed that makes you instantly trust them. They balance each other beautifully, bring real heart to their work, and make what can feel overwhelming suddenly seem pretty manageable. Whether you have a college freshman, a graduating senior, a recent grad, or even a young professional looking for direction, this episode is packed with wisdom, encouragement, and actionable takeaways.👏 I left this conversation thinking how every young adult deserves a Jamie and Marissa in their corner.  Thank you, rockstars!  🤩🤩It’s apparent YOU both are in your dream jobs!  Please check this episode out and share with a young professional that you care about.

Step Out of Line: Building Power, Purpose, and Presence with Peri Finkelstein

Stand back! This is what a rockstar sounds like. 🤩 Peri Finkelstein doesn’t just tell a story, she commands attention. In this episode, she shares what it took to move through years of being underestimated, bullied, and boxed in… and how she turned all of it into fuel for something far bigger than herself. 💪 Founder of the Team Peri Foundation, podcast host of Step Out of Line, speaker, and unapologetic truth-teller, Peri is building a life rooted in resilience, inclusion, and radical self-definition. There is a moment in this conversation where she describes refusing to be measured by limitation, and instead choosing to speak from power. It changes EVERYTHING! And, it makes you think about your own life where you need to “step out of line.” But what makes Peri unforgettable is not just what she’s overcome, it’s how she shows up in the world: courageous, thoughtful, brilliant, grounded, and unshakably herself, defined by no one else but herself. 👊 This is a conversation about voice. About courage. And about what happens when you decide you are no longer stepping aside for anyone. If you’ve ever been told to stay in line… this episode may be your invitation to step out of it. 👏👌 Peri, your words and your accomplishments have really inspired me!  I am grateful our paths have crossed. 🥰 Please check out Peri’s exceptional TED Talk narrated by Mayim Bialek here

Mother-Daughter Magic: How Rama and Anita Built Satya Blends from Family Recipes to National Shelves

I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with the incredible mother-daughter duo behind Satya Blends, Rama and Anita, and I walked away smiling and completely inspired!  Their company is named after their mother and grandmother, Sati, and the word “satya,” which means truth in Hindi. That spirit of truth runs through everything they do. Their spice blends are rooted in family recipes, cultural tradition, and incredibly high standards for quality. They source thoughtfully, support farmers in India, and create blends they would proudly cook for their own families.  And the momentum is real. Satya Blends was recently picked up by 500 stores of Sprouts Farmers Market, a HUGE milestone that has transformed their business (as well as some other big retailers to be announced soon)! They’ve also introduced the cutest and most convenient spice sachets, small packets of their blends that make it easy to cook vibrant, flavorful meals at home. I’ve tried them and they’re absolutely DELICIOUS and make cooking super easy! What stood out most during our conversation was their partnership. They truly understand each other’s strengths and balance each other beautifully. There’s a deep respect between them, and that kind of trust makes for a powerful team. This was what touched me the most.  Their workspace is refreshingly scrappy too. A small, minimal space in northern New Jersey where big ideas and bold dreams are turning into a fast-growing national brand. Both women were accomplished long before launching Satya. Rama is a respected chef who has spent years cooking professionally and serving local families through her scrumptious food. Anita also built her own successful career in the apparel business before joining forces with her daughter. Together, they’ve created something truly special that honors heritage while making Indian flavors approachable for modern kitchens. Food carries memory, culture, and connection. Sitting with them reminded me just how powerful those traditions can be. Their goal is to grow Satya big, really big. And after meeting them, I have no doubt they will. Please listen to the full conversation on Apple and Spotify. These are just a few of the great clips from my conversation with these rockstar women! 🤩🤩

Whole-Body Health Starts in the Mouth: A Conversation with Leading Biologic Dentist, Dr. Alex Volchonok

In this educational episode of Everyday Rockstars, I sit down with Dr. Alex Volchonok, a leading biologic dentist, to explore the profound connection between our  oral health and our whole-body wellness. This conversation, and the few times I have now been his patient, has changed the way I think about my own health. And, I believe it may change yours too. We dive into the key differences between traditional dentistry and biologic dentistry, how the mouth can act as an early warning system for inflammation, autoimmune issues, and chronic disease, and why understanding the bacteria in our mouths can help us move from reactive care to true prevention. 👌 Dr. Alex also shares insight into the innovative wellness center he’s opening and how dentistry can play a much bigger role in long-term health than most people even realize. This episode is about empowerment. It’s about learning how to listen to your body, ask better questions, and take a more proactive approach to your health. Dr. Alex brings wisdom, clarity, and a deeply human approach to care that goes far beyond the dentist chair…i.e. He’s exceptional. 🌟 As a special gift to the Everyday Rockstars community, he’s offering a free consultation to anyone who calls and mentions “Everyday Rockstars” or “Rockstars.” See what I mean? 🤩 If you’re curious about biologic dentistry, prevention-based healthcare, or how small daily choices can have a big impact on your future health, this episode is for YOU!
